Kutztown University in Pennsylvania has had a unique mascot since 2005, Avalanche. The Bearcat Mascot is one of the many unique mascots across colleges in the US, representing school spirit, pride, and history. The Boston University Terriers are the ten men’s and fourteen women’s varsity athletic teams representing Boston University in NCAA Division I competition.

Blackburn Rovers Sports College has a mascot named Rover the Dog, who makes an appearance at various events. Blackburn Rovers Football Club is a professional football club based in Blackburn, Lancashire, England, competing in the EFL Championship. Students at a Chorley school celebrated a big competition win with a surprise visit from Rover the Dog.

  • I did that first one many years ago, at a Braves-Expos game at Turner Field, lower-deck, third-base side. I decked out in full Expos regalia and grabbed a foul ball on the second bounce, nabbing it from a little kid reaching behind me. I raised my arms and the whole crowd booed. Then turned around and flipped the ball to the kid and the crowd cheered. I don’t remember if the Expos won, but I remember the foul ball. And I remember it was very hot.

  • Find this clip: in Melbourne, Australia, a 3 year old boy ran onto the football field. The game stopped, a player lifted the boy by the shoulders and carried him over the goal. The opposing players chased them, falling down all around them and the crowd roared at the event. The boy was elated and went home happy. You could bet he grows up to become a football player.

  • As for the small group of fans at the soccer game who were making fun of the offside official, they were light-years ahead of the game. Anything had to be better and more entertaining than the actual game. Given how close they were to each other, it’s quite astonishing that non of them suddenly fell to the ground, writhing around in mock pain from an imaginary incident on the field. That mom who was so proud of her son for starting the wave, needs to have her head examined and be ashamed of herself for ever exposing the boy to this stupid ritual. The wave is an idiotic, superstitious example of “sheeple behavior”, or mob mentality.

  • Personally, I feel if you cannot focus that well and a little movement in the crowd bothers you that much, maybe you’re not the class of professional you are proclaimed to be. I used to do semi-professional bowling and there was always movement around because of the pinsetters on adjoining lanes. You practice on you focusing as well as the sport.

  • It’s too bad Novak Djokovic he has to be among the crazy famous people who publically (and passionately) deny the importance of vaccination against COVID. He might have had more grand slam titles than he already has by now if it weren’t for the fact that he had to have been denied permission to come compete in a couple of them because he refused vaccination before coming there.
