Which Disney World resorts AREN’T gonna greet you with tons of construction? Which ones will keep you close to what you’ll be …
I’ve been to Disney World twice (both when i was really young). The first time I stayed at Saratoga Springs, and I barely remember it as I believe I was around 7 years old, though I do remember the pools and the awesome activities they had there. The second time I believe I was around 10 years old, and I stayed at the Yacht Club (i think) and I remember the pools, the water slide, the pier, the gardens, and how close it was to Epcot. I’m going to Saratoga Springs again soon and I can’t wait!
Such a nice article. It shows how beautiful the resort is. I’ve stayed over the years at Caribbean Beach, Port Orleans, Coronado Springs, and All Star Movies (with an upcoming trip to All Star Sports just around the corner. One of the biggest draws to the Disney resorts is staying in the Disney “bubble”, even when outside the theme parks. If given my choice, I will never stay off site again.
I stayed at All Star Music about 15 years ago. It was a nice enough place, but other than the oversized instruments lining the buildings, it didn’t feel that different from a motel you can find anywhere else in America. One Disney World hotel I’ve always wanted to visit is the Grand Floridian! I just love Victorian decor 😍
We stayed last March, for my 60th birthday, in the Grand Floridian in the block at the back by the boat pick-up. Had a newly refurbished room with views to the magic kingdom. Was absolutely amazing. Room was Mary Poppins themed but very subtle including lovely little glass birds as lights on the main big light. Hotel is absolutely beautiful but it’s not cheap😢. We are going back soon for MNSSHP & can’t wait. We did pop to the Polynesian for breakfast & have to say that looks like a lovely hotel too. We did try to book here for MNSSHP but the only rooms left for our date were superior rooms & very, very expensive, it was cheaper to have the basic room in Grand floridian. Can’t wait to go back to this beautiful hotel.
Thank you for another wonderful article, with valuable information, my friend! We also, LOVE Pop Century restort! We call it our 2nd home! The skyliner is definitely a bonus. The rosee cart sounds very nice. And thank you for sharing the information about your “e book”. Definitely will check it out. Thanks for the heads up about the Blue Lagoon. 💖💖
As usual, a great article from A.J. But I wish Wilderness Lodge had been higher. I can understand every hotel that ranked ahead other than Coronado. We just stayed at Wilderness Lodge for the first time in 20 years and were blown away. But our second favorite…. Old Key West. It is a great place to stay when your kids get older.
Stay away from disney world all stars resorts, We stayed at all star movies and it was the most unhappiness place ever. People wearing running shoes in the pool. No care for gusset safety concern at all. I went to the front desk to inform them about people wearing running shoes in the pool there reply back was what do you want from this. Customer service was very rude from everyone there. Lifeguards have an attitudes . I was sitting at the table by the pool and the Lifeguard came yelling you can’t drink in the pool area like he was on something??? I was no were the pool at all at table having a cup of coffee. And that was this a month ago.
Just got back – stayed at Pop Century and Shades of Green – and 2 Good Neighbor hotels as well. On our resort we toured the Magic Kingdom hotels. The Polynesian was Disney’s 50’s idea of South Seas – disrespectful of the culture. The Grand Floridian had the rarefied air and soulessness I have seen in really expensive hotels. The Contemporary was loud. The Wilderness Lodge was… breathtaking.
