The part when Josie tells Lizzie that Caroline’s dress was given to her by Klaus and then that lyric, that super foreshadowing lyric kicked in “your in my head, always, always” I thought OH MY GOD he is, Klaus is always in Hope’s mind, Klaus means everything to Hope and she never got over the fact that he had to die to save her and Danielle’s acting was so, so perfect!!!! especially when Hope learned the dress came from Klaus and then, the birth of Hope and Lizzie’s friendship!!! I can’t with this scene, it was so heartbreaking yet beautiful
I can’t OMG DANIELLE’S ACTING IS SO FREAKING AWESOME AND I JUST LOVED THIS EPISODE SO MUCH especially this scene. It was inevitable, with the trauma of landon dying still fresh, her emotions were obviously going to play themselves. Then finding out that she is actually wearing a dress that her father chose. Man, i teared up. She tried so hard to control her emotions. Plus, Lizzy and hope are the new goals.
As much as there is to dislike about Roman for his part in Hayley’s death, I love the immediate concern he shows for Hope’s wellbeing, as well as knowing to give her space and not try to comfort her, seeing as he is a trigger himself. Just as well, as much as Lizzie messed with things with both Josie and the dress choice, I love how she was there for Hope, and knew how to comfort her <3 I love the Hizzie friendship 🙂 Hope's crying always seems to break me and then I cry, so I'm especially glad Lizzie gave her the hug she deserves <3
I’m so glad Hope was wearing that dress. Josie doesn’t deserve to wear it, especially after setting hopes room on fire. When everything was revealed she didn’t even apologize to Hope. She just said “I did it because I was scared and I had a crush on you.” Hope revealed that everything she had from her dad was destroyed and Josie didn’t even say anything. She just sat in the car crying and looking out the window trying to make herself the victim.
It’s really NOT Lizzie’s fault cause like she said, she’s not a freaking mind reader. How the hell would she know Josie still had feelings for Penelope?? She was just doing what she thought was best for her sister. I also think that Josie was also being completely selfish in this scene. Talking bout how she should have been wearing that dress? Knowing where and who it came from. I mean yeah I know it’s her mom’s dress but Hope lost everything in that fire that was memories of her dad so for her to be wearing that as a memory of her dad, it’s rightful owner should be Hope. That’s just my opinion though 🤷🏾♀️
Josie and Lizzie need some therapy. LIke this isn’t even a joke. They need to to go to family therapy and talk cause at this point there’s no way they’re talking to each other properly without a third party. Josie had problems speaking up and Lizzie (blame her disorder or her personality) has some serious trouble empathizing with people. She’s getting better but she still has room to improve.
I have to say this josie was actually being selfish here because in her eyes she deserved to wear that dress more than anyone but she burnt half of hope’s stuff including paintings and etc that she had from her dad even though she didn’t know it that dress was practically the only thing she had left even if he had given it to caroline you can’t blame lizzie she didn’t know the backstory and why would lizzie tell you that penelope was leaving if you made a pact not to talk about your exes also lizzie was right she isn’t a mind reader if josie had dropped some hints or atleast spoken up i would’ve taken her side but no you can’t expect her to know how your feeling 24/7 if you don’t speak up and for those saying that lizzie comforted hope when she should’ve gone after josie y’all are crazy if she went after josie that entire school would’ve came down because hope would’ve exploded and everyone in it would’ve been either dead or badly injured
Lizzie may be self-absorbed at times but Josie is way more annoying. She has the choice to speak up and make decisions for herself yet she chooses to follow Lizzie’s instructions and then blames Lizzie for not considering her feelings. Lizzie never forces her to do anything and yet she makes it seems like she is the victim all the time. She needs to stop throwing herself a pity party. Penelope is also wrong. She does love Josie but it was very childish and an invasion of privacy to read everyone’s journal entries. She literally knows about everyone’s feelings and secrets in that school. Also, to hate Lizzie and always gossip about Lizzie/wish ill of her is too much. It’s not like Lizzie created the merge or chose to be bipolar.
I can’t imagine the pain and loneliness that she must be going through when we guys are suffering and not able to cope with the fact that klaus is dead! The way she said, ‘my dad chose this dress..?’ It broke my heart..hear tears were like the lava of the volcano of death where she has lost almost everyone she ever loved😭❤
Lizzie’s and Hopes interaction this episode reminded me of Klaus’s and Caroline’s friendship and the mutual respect they had for each other. They were able to connect with each other to such a level that they knew exactly what the other was feeling or thinking… This is exactly what the show needs: Long-lasting Friendship. They can let Josie and Hope have the romantic angle since both Caroline and Klaus were attracted to each other that way too. It would be a good continuation of Klaus and Caroline’s legacies via Lizzie, Josie and Hope.
I’m on lizzie’s side here. Like she said she’s not a mind reader so she might not have known that Josie and Penelope we’re getting a lot closer again so why should she be expected to tell josie what she heard, and even if she did know why shouldn’t she assume that Penelope already told josie. And people are always saying she should mind her own business so that’s what she did, she didn’t interfere and tell josie before Penelope could so she actually didn’t really do anything wrong here.
You can’t for one second tell me that Klaroline were never meant to be or that Stefan was Caroline’s soulmate or that you loved them as a couple; I never did, I only wanted them to be friends. But the fact that Caroline kept the dress that Klaus gave her and they shared their first dance in for all these years is clear proof that Klaus meant something special to her and still does in death. I can feel Hope’s pain.
My heart literally aches during this part. I can literally feel her pain It’s so heartbreaking and sad! She misses her father so much😭 Klaus is dead and they still made me cry. Klaus was a better person because of Hope, she spent most of her life without her father and meets him again and then he sacrifices himself and now she’s really sad and hurt. I can literally feel her pain this scene gets me every freaking time💔💔💔
Josie pissed me off in this scene. Lizzie doesn’t know how or what josie wants and feels. If Josie had spoken up abt how she wanted to enter then i’m sure Lizzie would’ve considered it. And anyways I don’t think Josie could’ve won, it’s evident that Josie isn’t confident enough and doesn’t have what it takes to win. Lizzie chose who she thought would win based on facts and statistics, you can’t really argue with that.
I always wondered how they’d portray the Saltzman twins dynamic with Hope especially since they were all these miracle babies in their original respective shows. Glad to see the sisterly connection they develop by season 2 since Hope really does need support from family now and the Saltzman clan have major history with Hope’s world.
I relate to this scene so much. I’ve also had people who either left me or were taken from me and I just distracted myself from feeling…for 3 years. My exception is that I didn’t have a Lizzie to tell me to just scream to the top of my voice to let the frustration out and cry to release the built up pain and hurt. I learnt the hard way. Love this scene. I think its the best one of the entire series, overshadowing Jo’s moment.
i hope caroline and hope interact with eachother since caroline understood klaus so well, it would be nice to see a relationship with them 2. Im sure klaus was perusal over hope during the miss mystic falls paegant. I think Josie was more upset at the fact that her sister didn’t consider her feelings and to her face said that she didn’t have a chance of winning because she wasn’t pretty/good enough that wearing the dress, she said that as a final blow. Also Lizzie didn’t tell her that Penelope was leaving even though she knew. Lizzie also constantly looks over Josie. People say that Josie should just open her mouth, but it’s not that easy especially if it’s your own sibling, she was also worried that if she said something it would effect lizzie’s mental health. Josie doesn’t deserve all the hate she just need’s some one that can be there for her and she doesn’t have that, her dad is always with hope, Lizzie has their mom but she has no one.
Well in this episode we all know Penelope does love Josie. But she doesn’t respect anybody besides Josie and she hurts other people almost like a sociopath. She invades their privacy so she can blackball or blackmail anyone. So Lizzie is right about Penelope. That she is evil, manipulating and arrogant besides truly loving Josie. Which is why Lizzie should have kicked her ass
In a lot of ways I see the dynamic between Lizzie and Josie as very similar of that between Klaus and Elijah, theres the wild card one who is often very selfish and doesnt think of the consequences of their actions on others and the other who is loyal and will do anything for the other because of that sibling loyalty, This seems very parallel in the tvd universe it was similar between Damon and Stefan then Klaus and Elijah and now Josie and Lizzie it makes for a very unpredictable relationship and that is what draws the watchers in (i have been writing stories for years and always enjoy writing about these kinds of dynamics a lot of work often goes into writing about these relationships.)
I think Hope feels that she doesn’t have her family (hence the panic attacks )and that she is alone in the world (even though she does have her aunt and uncle alive but they are too busy with their lives to check on hope). Having someone like that around might help her condition and comfort her. Also, can we have Klaus look alike on the show if Joesph/Klaus isn’t set to have any special appearance anytime soon? Like why don’t they bring in Hope’s distant cousin from Klaus’s wolf clan as we never got to know much about them…They could introduce that person as the new mystery guy who plans to kill Hope due to the rumour/myth about her (TO season 1 early episode had witches saying that Hope was going to be the end of the world or something) and later starts to really get to know her and perhaps fall for her (like how Klaus was all bad when he was first introduced and later changed due to Caroline and all the other events). It would be a good way to continue the stories from both TVD and TO and bring some unaddressed plots to the table… Another reason why Hope needs someone new is that I find Roman or Landon or any of the other people as not a good match for Hope. She needs someone powerful and smart by her side. She may be a Mickelson but even Mickelson needed powerful allies… Perhaps this cousin could have more combat/naturalistic training and would give Alaric a good challenge.
Such a great moment! I don’t get all the Posie fuss, Hizzie’s where it’s at! I wonder would Klaus would’ve said if he could see this, what he and Caroline would have said to each other perusal their daughters together, Hope wearing Caroline’s dress, which Klaus chose for the woman he loved. I think it’s more fitting for Hope to wear it rather than Josie, who was kind of getting on my nerves.
at the part that Josie was talking about the dress I was screaming at my laptop saying “Josette Saltzman shut the hell up “and when she said that the dress came from Klaus I started tearing up because I knew Hope would cry and the song just made me cry even more it’s true Klaus will always be in Hope’s head especially after Hope saw Landon Dead, which brought back everything from her past experience of losing someone. I love Lizzie in this episode though yes it was wrong of her to choose Hope over her sister, she was a great friend to Hope. My Handon heart broke when they argued about what Penelope Park told him it felt like Posie was out to get them (NO HATE TO POSIE FANS OKAY I AM ALSO ONE TOO OKAY) then Roman won my heart back after he saved Hope from being embarrassed. I just want to see how Rafael is going to be acting towards Hope though I feel like he is also going to be mad at her which is going to break my heart even more. I would also like to see if Landon will get back with Hope if not then there will be nothing for Julie Plec to try breaking my heart with because it will already be broken
Josie can’t blame Lizzie for not telling her about Penelope leaving. For all Lizzie knew Josie hate P and regrets her kiss with her. She had always badmouthed P with Lizzie… And honestly let’s be honest Lizzie would have helped Josie win if she asked, like in the spotlight ep Josie spoke up and wanted to sing and Lizzie arranged it. Josie shows no interest to Lizzie about the stuff she wants and then secretly stews and blames Lizzie for taking attention. It’s clear that Lizzie does need to be more considerate if what Josie is really thinking and feeling.

this was so emotional and raw. this episode was the best episode of the whole entire series. this scene was written so well.. josie has finally come to terms with the fact that putting lizzie’s feelings before her’s isn’t right, its cost her a relationship with penelope. Hope has grew so much and in this scene she lets out everything that she has been bottling up. legacies is actually really good it deserves more promo, and recognition.

Not only that but they made a pack to not talk about Penelope too. Josie girl you’re not innocent and gotta grow tf up.
Does anyone think that it was fucked up how Penelope spied on everyone in the school. I understand why she did it and the reason for the breakup. If she didn’t spy then she would have never found out about the merge and would have been blindsided by all of this. However, it was a still fucked up thing to do. My question is why spy on the entire school?
I don’t think Josie should be mad at Lizzie considering she never lets Lizzie in on how she’s feeling until shit hits the fan I mean like she said she’s not a mind reader and it wouldn’t have mattered if she knew or not if Josie would have just read the letter Penelope gave her in the first place she wouldn’t be as shocked. Not to mention she never really talks about Penelope to Lizzie not does she defend her when Lizzie talks about her so how the fuck is she supposed to know Josie gives a damn about her. She literally set her hair on fire the first episode because she was pissed off at her and yet she wants her sister to automatically know that she still has feelings for her. Sorry but that’s just not realistic. I can see the whole her moms dress thing but she could have literally worn one of her moms other dresses as well. God knows Caroline had plenty including the one she actually wore to compete.
So emotional. This scene gets me EVERY TIME. They never truly got to greive EITHER of her parents, but more importantly, she felt guilty over BOTH of their death’s. Honestly, neither was really her fault, though she is dancing with the guy who kidnapped her mother which ended in her death. But HAley already gave Hope closure. She hadn’t gotten that and she kept her guilt and grief for her dad bottled up. Glad Lizzie finally recognized that hope needed to cry it out.
Lizzie is the new Damon because for seasons of TVD what made me mad the most is yes Damon was selfish and horrible but how many times did he do unselfish things and still get treated like he was selfish. How many times did he help save the town with Bonnie because lets face it if it wasn’t for Damon and Bonnie the town and everyone in it would have died many times over but Damon was never giving credit. When he wanted to save Bonnie who had died for everyone and was stuck in a prison world everyone called him selfish which was so stupid. So im ready for seasons of Lizzie doing good things and being treated like a horrible person no matter what she does just because she doesn’t like to show she has a heart like her mom said.

I know Alaric and Care are/ were just trying to protect their daughters but they should have told them about the merge a long time ago so they could appreciate and cherish their time together but I feel like one of them is going to do the same thing luke did and fight kai hopefully that twin wins but kai is every strong and powerful but in order for that to happen Chris Wood would have to be willing to come back
