Which Fictional Figures Are Present At Magic Kingdom?

Magic Kingdom is a popular destination for visitors to meet classic Disney characters like Mickey Mouse, Cinderella, and Tiana. It’s time for a MAMMOTH sized challenge — Molly is headed around Walt Disney World to see how many characters she can meet …

Why did Disney cut Tinker Bell from Meet and Greets?

The Stories Matter team identified Tinker Bell as “body conscious” and “jealous of Peter Pan’s attention.” However, opportunities to interact with the character remain available at Disneyland in Anaheim, California. Additionally, the team identified problematic portrayals of Native Americans and the use of the racial slur “redskins” in the film.

Can you meet any Marvel characters at Disney World?

Disney World currently has only one Marvel ride featuring previously obscure characters, despite the fact that Disney bought Marvel in 2009 for a substantial sum. Legal agreements prohibit Disney from incorporating Marvel characters in their own parks, as long as Universal Studios pays an annual fee and keeps Super Hero Island open. This is not the only legal obstacle to Disney’s acquisition of Marvel.

The contract also states that characters used by Universal in the Marvel universe, such as Spider-Man or Captain America, cannot be used by Disney anywhere east of the Mississippi River, meaning they can only be seen west of the river.

Disney is now seeking workaround arrangements to maximize their Marvel brand, but finding the right answers is challenging. Currently, Marvel merchandise is abundant in shops around Disney World, such as Disney Springs, as Marvel is only prohibited in theme parks. The newest Marvel ride, the Guardians of the Galaxy, also dances around this rule, as the Guardians of the Galaxy are not technically Avengers.

Tinker Bell can also be seen on the Peter Pan’s Flight attraction and Mickey’s PhiharMagic. She also has her own “Fab 50” statue in Magic Kingdom Park, which can be challenging to find.

Disney character “meet and greets” change in the parks, so it’s recommended to check the Walt Disney World Resort website for updates. Tinker Bell currently holds a “meet and greet” at Pixie Hollow at Disneyland Resort in California.

  • I am very impressed with how the characters can sign autographs so well when they can barely see and have those big cumbersome hands. Plus the amount of improv they have to do, reacting to anything anyone may say, while staying in character for hours in sweltering heat! Wow… Bravo character actors!

  • I leave for my trip 2 weeks from today and I got that same exact autograph book in a Disney mystery box!! I’ve been so nervous about meeting characters and asking them to sign, this article has eased that anxiety so much!! Thank you Molly!!! You truly help so many people have their most magical and least stressful trips!

  • most partnership articles people do are annoying but I must say I enjoyed this one, you came up with an amazing idea to showcase the frame! Loved seeing you meet all the characters!! I can’t wait to go back to Disney and do character meets as an adult, the last time I went was right when Disney reopened from covid and I couldn’t meet any characters.

  • I love how effortless the character interactions are for you. Not so much for me, lol. On our last visit, we made a last minute reservation for Hollywood and Vine for Minnie’s Halloween and Dine. After all the characters had stopped by our table and we were about done with our meal, my teen son and daughter left to use the restroom and Mickey came by and sat with me. Awkward, lol. It was a really cool and unexpected experience for me, but I just don’t have the gift of character gab.😂

  • We got my mom the Aura frame for Christmas last year and she loved it! It’s so easy to upload your photos from your phone without having to even be in the same room if you set it up. We uploaded a bunch of photos from our last disney trip and it surprised her when they’d just pop up. 10/10 recommend and I’m so glad to see Molly endorse a great product like this (#NotAnAd)

  • Listen, Mulan will forever be my favorite character to meet because 1) it’s my favorite movie and 2) my first time at Disney world when I was 8, we just happened to see her when she was leaving her set, and of course 8 year old me flipped out, and Mulan saw me and took the time to talk to me (she asked me to join her army lol) and take pictures even though she was leaving and it’s one of my favorite memories to this day

  • I would love to see this challenge done at Universal and IOA!! My daughter loves meeting characters at any theme park we go to, but we usually only have time to see between 1-4 (especially in Japan where the lines are usually very long). On our recent trip to EPCOT and Animal Kingdom though, we met with 13 characters and waved at many more as they floated by at AK. So many happy memories made; thank you for sharing your amazing day of just character interactions.

  • Lmao Olaf is the reason we’re still sweating 😂 Molly/Alan- just wanted to say it was so nice to meet you both yesterday despite me literally melting with a mouthful of churro 😂 my son Frankie, who I still can’t get over greeted Molly like you were old gal pals at the salon, can’t stop talking about meeting you both. What I would have LOVED to say had I not been a hot mess is just thank you! I truly think perusal your articles with my son helped him overcome a lot of his fears of rides/shows/characters (still working on parades and fireworks lol). We had a great trip this year so thank you MAM for taking us along for the ride. 💕 Best of luck with everything and hope to run into you again soon (and hopefully I won’t be a sweaty mess with a mouth full of churro 😅)

  • We came over with our 4yr old granddaughter and felt we spent the holiday Princess ‘stalking’ if only we had seen your article before we came…lol, we loved Crystal Palace – and following your previous tips I was able to tell Pooh we had come from the UK to visit him and that we had played Pooh sticks on his bridge 🙂 so thanks for the tips, as a disney adult we all need to remember the magic (although my husband was hugged fiercely by Donald whilst alone in reception at our hotel and was left mildly traumatised 🙂 )

  • Super fun article! I liked the tips and coaching on how best to interact with characters. Thank you! I Hope you will do a similar Day at festival of holidays to see if you can visit all the Santa’s in one day. That photo frame looks good but code didn’t work for me and seems to be $10 less to buy from Amazon rather than to buy using your link.

  • As much as I love the attractions, the shows, and of course the food at Disney my best memories are with the characters. I could go on all day with stories. Dancing with Cinderella, getting tackled by Merida, Ariel giving me a dinglehopper for my birthday and of course the day i met with Ariel 3 times.

  • I appreciate your articles so much. You could edit the articles to exclude all the non-meets but I appreciate you leaving them in to show things won’t always go as planned, even for an expert like yourself. Plus you keep it kid magic friendly by your interactions and not saying what the cast members mean.

  • Oh wow Molly you met so many amazing characters around Epcot I’m so happy for you it’s really nice to get advice how to interact with characters 🥰 You met Figment 🐲💜 Had breakfast at gardens grill & met 4 characters Pluto 🐶💛 Chip 🐿❤ Dale 🐿🖤 Farmer Mickey 🐭🍂🌾 Then you met Alice in the uk 🇬🇧 area Alice was a great character to talk to 👩🏼💙♟♥️🇬🇧 Then you met Moana 👩🏻‍🦱🌺🐚in her journey of water 💦 area 🍃🌿🎋 how Moana said she had a big adventure with Maui & Pua Asha 👩🏽 from wish 💜⭐️ & how Asha told you how to make wishes Then you met Snow White 👧🏻🍎in Germany 🇩🇪 which was so good & how she was complementing about the dwarfs Also in China 🇨🇳 To was so nice to meet Mulan she was giving great warrior advice 👩🏻✋,, about she & Shang are looking for new volunteers Also meeting the sisters at Norway 🇳🇴 was really wonderful First you met Anna 👸🏼👩🏻‍🦰💜❄️ It was really nice of her to say it’s good to make new friends Secondly meeting Elsa 👸🏼👩🏼❄️is such a dream she’s really thoughtful about the warm weather ❄️❄️❄️🌥⛅️🌤& how she cares about Olaf

  • The first time I’ve been to Disney World was in 2012 during spring break with my high school chorus. Three of the best things that happened during our trip IMO was the Rocken Roller Coaster, Fantasmic, and the Parade of Lights (When Tinkerbell blew me a kiss.). During the three days, we only met three characters at once. Winnie the Pooh, Eeyor, and Tigger. Ever since we left, I dreamed of going back and meeting more characters. Now it’s 2024 and things have changed. One thing, my thoughts of Disney has changed. IMO, while I understand the popularity of movies like Moana and Encanto, the last great film Disney did was Frozen. Everything after that though kind of went downhill. I still love the classics though, and I’m glad Disney still keeps their classics alive. Also, everything, and I do mean everything in the country is beyond expensive nowadays. That’s why I work two jobs. So, chances of me going back to Disney World are slim to impossible. That’s why I like articles like these. But who knows. If it’s God’s will, maybe someday in the future, I’ll go back. And when I do, I plan to meet more than three characters.

  • I am truly impressed with how many characters you met. We were in Hollywood Studios the day you were filming this article and it was a very busy day. Also, Darth is very scary. We were disappointed that we didn’t see you. On a side note, because of all your articles on genie+ we were able to master it and believe we got our money’s worth. Thanks Molly for all you do.

  • At Hollywood you met so many characters which is really fun Meeting Fancy Nancy 🧚‍♀️👸🏼was so nice she really appreciated you complimenting on her outfits 🥰 Also meeting dark Vader must be really nervous 😬 as he’s quite scary 🖤but he was ok Also meeting Doc Mc Stuff-ins was really nice to 👩🏽‍⚕️💜🏩 she sounds really sweet Then meeting Vampirina is so wonderful 🧛🏻‍♀️I definitely think she’s a Christmas 🎄 girl not a Halloween girl lol 😂 Then you met Olaf which was nice ☃️🥰, he definitely loves summer 😎 with his ice drink 🍹❄️& lotions 🧴 from protecting him from getting melted Elsa really know how to use her magic

  • Yeah I like the tip you said at 22:52 I always like to tell some characters I meet about a few aspects of their story if I remember them. Ex: Talking with Mulan I was telling her when I was hearing her tale(Aka perusal her movie) I thought her story was very inspiring. I also said “one of the things your emperor said still rings true to this day: A Flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of its kind.” and she said “I see you are well-versed in Chinese proverbs as well.” To which I said “Yeah, I know a few and their meanings, not much.” Example 2: when I met star lord on a DCL cruise on a marvel day at sea, I told Star lord how I can relate to him so hard about our music taste(80s music) and he’s like “oh you like 80s music?” I said “Yeah I do, heck I even heard your awesome mixes and you got good taste!” And he said thanks and also asked me if I have a few favorite songs from the 80s. And I told him a few like U2’s With or without you and he said “I’m more of a ‘I still haven’t found what I’m looking for’ guy.” I said “That’s good too, that and with or without you are their 2 biggest hits” and we kept going on and on about 80s music for a bit naming a few favorite bands singers and their songs and afterwards mom told me she loved hearing me talk to Star lord about 80s music, like I truly felt relatable to him as a friend.

  • It was really nice that you met Ariel 👩🏽‍🦰🐚at the Walt Disney Theatre 🎬🎭 Then you met all the incredible which was Brilliant First you met Frozone ❄️🦸🏾‍♂️ Then you met Bob & Helen 🦸🏼‍♂️🦸🏻‍♀️ Which was so fun Helen was like it’s really hard being a mom of three 🤰🏻🤱🏻she definitely works a lot meeting fans saving the world & being a mother Meeting Edna was such an Honour 💁🏻‍♀️ 👓 she probably did say about her laser Meeting sully was nice too 😹 Buzz lighter was definitely the best 👩🏼‍🚀it was really for him to stamp an autograph

  • I heard that the photo pass photographers are told to always use the flash but it’s such a shame, the Mulan photo for example (26:30) would have looked much better without the sharp shadows. There are definitely ways to improve the lighting in real life and in the camera without resorting to flash. I’m not sure why people pay so much for such amateur photos.

  • i almost met Marry Poppins, Her character attendent asked if i wanted a pic with her, and i couldn´t think fast enough, and I said ¨iḿ good i got to say hi but thank you anyways, now i wonder if i should have, there was like legit no one around. now i´ll know for next time. also the Incredables will sometimes roam behind the lot. I dono if i just got lucky or not, but Mr. Incredable was super funny, and they kept coming back and fourth, and he kept possing. It was quite magical considering we had to go in the raina that morning, it was a really bad morning actually, but i think that made up for it. In magic Kingdom though, i almost met Mulan. If i had known she was by the bathrooms instead of inside the day i was there, i would have gone sooner. The character attendent was super nice and said she couldn´t meet anymore friends anymore because she was on the way to the pride, so i said that was fine and that i was just pleased to see her. We did get to meet mini and micky, Micky a bunch of times, Micky loved my bag.

  • Alert me when Sofia the First makes her return to WDW and Fancy Nancy is permanently retired(she’s annoying and a bad role model for the Pre-K crowd), because it’s unfair that the current DJR Characters that are in the parks now are still meeting when all their shows have ended/cancelled and yet they took Sofia out for that same fate as her spinoff series Elena is still meeting, and her universe will soon have a spin-off show, it’s now the time to bring Sofia back out on a daily basis

  • …Was some of this footage recycled? I feel like I’ve seen that exact footage of you with Snow White before. Of her hiding behind her cloak like that. Or do they have specific scripts? Though now I remember you talking about adults being nervous talking to the characters, and your advice about asking simple questions about their personal stories. I feel like this is a recycled article that you released about a year ago.

  • I love you guys and hope I don’t get blasted for this, but I cringed a bit at the frame ad. While it was creative, it didn’t feel right. There have been a lot of ads/sponsorship ads lately. I understand the need for partnerships, but they can distract from the overall feel if used too much or midway through. Also, just finished the full vid and see it’s brought up again at the end. Too many commercials for one vid. I 100% support you guys and, again, hope others are respectful if they respond to me but felt this needed to be said.

  • I watched this article up to the point where you made faces about Frozone walking a Make-A-Wish family over to the Incredibles for pictures, then I shut it off. I was very disappointed to see this in one of your articles. Time for a PSA for yourself: have more patience with children who are ill (possibly terminally) or who have a disability. In this moment, you seemed to have no compassion for what they may be going through, or understanding of the joy of being able to go to Disney World at all. Only that it interfered with your schedule of trying to meet as many characters as you could. I can handle your put downs of Ursula and Ron Weasley, they’re just characters, but these were real people. It was just too much. I won’t be perusal your website anymore.
