I don’t understand why they put Bog as the ugly guy and Roland as the handsome one. Bog is way more handsome and fetching only by the way he was treating Marianne during the strange magic song when they fell in love. Since the first time I watched this movie I was always thinking that…I never liked Roland. And Bog is also romantic himself…not only by the way he looked in front of Marianne but this is just my opinion.
I’ll be honest. I don’t really like this movie… except for everything in this clip and things related to it. The Bog King’s and Marianne’s relationship is surprisingly adorable (and funny, since they bond over hating stereotypical love). Marianne’s sister can be annoying at first, but she’s honestly hilarious when she’s under the spell. The Bog King’s two minions are okay too (I especially love how they imitate him here 1:39, it’s kind of adorable). I love whenever the Sugar Plum Fairy trolls the Bog King after this bit. It also cracks me up in another clip when the sister is singing sappy love songs, and they all cover their ears like it litteraly hurts them, that’s honestly all of us when we’re forced to hear cheesy songs. From the moment Marianne arrives to save her sister, untill she and the Bog King start flying together, that’s when the movie has some good parts. If they tweaked other aspects (the animation above all), and then made the rest of the film just as good as this part, it would’ve been an actually enjoyable film.
