Is it bad to use Avada Kedavra in Hogwarts Legacy?

Hogwarts Legacy does not have a morality system, meaning there are no consequences for learning or using Avada Kedavra. However, companion characters may react negatively to unforgivable curses, which doesn’t affect the player’s relationship with them. The choice to learn Avada Kedavra depends on the player’s morality. If there are no moral issues, there’s no reason not to do so. If players prefer a more virtuous roleplaying, they can choose “No one should know that curse” or “Now is not the time”.

Players can learn Avada Kedavra later by speaking with Sebastian in the Undercroft. However, this only works if players don’t turn Sebastian in during the In the Shadow of Fate quest. If players don’t learn the curses initially, they should choose “We must not turn Sebastian in”.

What cursing spells are in Hogwarts Legacy?

In Hogwarts Legacy, teenage students can learn three Unforgivable Curses: Crucio, the torture curse; Imperio, the mind-control curse; and Avada Kedavra, the killing curse. These spells are some of the best in the game and can be learned without imprisonment. To learn these spells, follow Sebastian Sallow’s relationship questline, where he seeks to cure his cursed sister by exploring the mysteries and puzzles of Salazar Slytherin.

What are the death spells in Hogwarts Legacy?

Avada Kedavra, an unforgivable curse in Hogwarts Legacy, is a powerful one-hit kill spell that can be used against tough enemies. Although not recommended for use, it is the most evil spell in the game. Unlocking the spell is only possible late in the game, so if you plan to use it to make bosses easier during main story missions, you might have already completed it. However, it is useful if you want to revisit the game and eliminate infamous foes. Despite its late availability, it is a useful tool for completing main story missions.

Can I be evil in Hogwarts Legacy?

In Hogwarts Legacy, while certain choices and spells may be morally questionable, there is no canonical version where one can be considered inherently evil and rise up as a proto-Voldemort. While there are some nasty and morally dubious actions, there is no version where one can become something akin to He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. Additionally, there is a dark quest involving Slytherin student Sebastian for obtaining a spell.

What spells are banned in Hogwarts Legacy?

Harry Potter’s Unforgivable Curses, Crucio, Imperio, and Avada Kedavra, are available to Hogwarts Legacy players. Crucio subjected the victim to extreme torture, Imperio controlled the spellcaster, and Avada Kedavra, also known as the Killing Curse, instantly killed the target. These curses are obtained through Sebastian Sallow’s quests, which are marked on the map and Field Guide. Players can learn the three Curses at different points in his story, and they can use them against enemies in Hogwarts Legacy.

The Crucio curse is obtained by completing the quest “In the Shadow of the Study”, Imperio by completing “In the Shadow of Time”, and Avada Kedavra by completing “In the Shadow of the Relic”. These curses are not only useful for good characters, but also for those who want to sacrifice their principles for a combat advantage. Players can complete these quests to complete Sebastian’s storyline and unlock the three Unforgivable Curses.

Upon completion of the quest, the player may then equip Crucio to a spell slot for use in combat. The casting of Crucio curses the enemy, causing them to recoil in pain and sustain damage over time. Is it bad to use dark magic in Hogwarts Legacy?

In Hogwarts Legacy, dark magic has few disadvantages despite its popularity in the wizarding world. The only real effect it has on gameplay is damaging the student’s reputation. Gryffindor companion Natsai Onai, Hufflepuff’s Poppy Sweeting, and Sebastian Sallow applaud the student for their use of Unforgivable Curses. However, those who want to stay in Sebastian’s good graces for role-playing reasons will choose this path.

The protagonist will gain an adverse reputation at Hogwarts, as some NPC characters make odd comments about the use of evil spells. This is a noticeable side effect of becoming a dark witch or wizard, but it can be a downside to walking this darker path, as it means certain students around Hogwarts and characters in Hogsmeade or the Highlands will comment on it.

  • For anyone still confused about the quest for crucio not activating there are several quests in the main story that aren’t being mentioned in the article, there is a main story quest later where Sebastian invites you to his village to meet his sister, this has has to be completed first and then another quest with Natsai that involves Highwing. after that one is complete then Sebastian will send his owl to start the questline. there are about 1-2 of his side quests between each of the ones that give you one of the curses. hope this helps.

  • You will learn Crucio when you completed the main quest “The High Keep”. After that quest you unlock the flying mount. Then you need to go in the game explore more, just do something and later you will get an owl. So basically if you finished the “The High Keep” quest, you will not going to get that owl instantly. Do some side quest in the mean time and you will get the owl later. For Avada Kedavra. When you reach a storyline quest “Ranrok Loyalty” and you are only lvl 26-27 DO NOT START THE QUEST! Go, get some xp. Go complete side quest, go to the battle arena kill enemies, or get these flying pages anything which gives you XP. Than if you reached lvl 28 do the “Ranrok Loyalty” quest. After that quest you again need to wait a little bit. Do some exploring until you get the owl. Thats it.

  • I want to share this little combo that is really satisfying, Glacius (freezing spell) then Diffindo (wind spell) has a really satisfying shattering kill effect, I find myself able to two shot so many mobs with this combo and on big mobs I get huge crits. Try it out. Also reply your favorite combos so we can try yours.

  • The only one I will probably end up using is Avada Kadavra. Now hear me out, I understand that it causes immense pain when it kills someone, but it’s only for like a second before they die. Meanwhile, approved defense spells like Incendio set people on fire, which also causes immense pain, but hurts for longer since it’s not an instakill, and Depulso, which if used the right way, can knock someone off a cliff, or into a object, causing head trauma. Congratulations, you sent someone to the hospital with a head injury so bad, that they’ll have to live the rest of their life as a vegetable, and burns so bad that they have to live the rest of that vegetable life looking like a pizza. So if you think about it, the “unforgivable” Killing Curse is the most humane defense spell that you can use.

  • I’m learning these spells, despite that I’m going to go for the good ending. And ‘Spoiler Alert” I have actually learned through digging around online how to get 2 of the three endings along with seeing all of them online, to get the good and evil endings it all comes down to a choice made during the cutscene prior to the final boss fight against Ranrok and that choice is to either agree to Professor Fig’s request to keep the Ancient Magic Repository hidden underneath the map room at Hogwarts secret until there’s a way to safely deal with it or reveal it with intent on trying to gain control of it to put it simply you agree to Professor Fig’s request you get the good ending, if you refuse you get the evil ending, now if you complete Sebastian’s Companion Quest Storyline prior to completing the main storyline with him you will get a special dialogue with him during the final cutscene where you reveal the truth behind who really cursed his sister Anne and after he mentions his thoughts on the revelation he’ll mention of two potential future outcomes for the two of you depending on which ending you go for if you go for the good ending he’ll mention that maybe depending solely on the Dark Arts is a bad idea but it’s a good idea to still use them but only as spells of last resort, and if you go for the evil ending Sebastian will tell you that whenever you’re ready to drop out of school and continue your pursuit of furthering your descent into darkness he’ll gladly follow you down the path of darkness.

  • Everyone keeps saying complete welcome to Hogsmeade and be level 15/16 to unlock the first side quest for these curses yet I did that and even got to lvl 22 and nothing but In Shadow of the Undercroft was unlocked for Sebastion Sallow side quests. Is there anything else you need to do first because it seems like everyone is skipping something important enough to unlock these three side quests.

  • I’m pretty sure I understood, but just to clarify I can play through Sebastian’s quests and by the end of that storyline not have the curses and not be “punished” for doing said side quests? I’m looking to play through “good” the first time around and don’t want to change or miss any dialogue or scenes that would be different otherwise if I just completely avoided the quests. Or would you just recommend avoiding them until I decide to play through as bad?

  • I thought I was on a good path bc I got that confringo spell, but I was doing to much main missions. It fucked up my whole supposed to be dark wizard, and I got the broom late too. I just barely got the game and it’s badass but I felt to close to beating it without enjoying it like how it should be. I started a new profile today. I just got done passing the “WELCOME TO HOGSMEADE” mission and I’m on lvl 9 rn. Did I fuck up already? Im gonna lvl up outside of Hogwarts lol and shoot for spells early bc I made a shitty bad wizard already.

  • They need to input multiplayer and Co play into the game and it will be the best game ever made and PVP and open world against other houses when you come across it would be so great you remember GTA V came out as a single player then boom .. went online it should be the same protest articles about to make them do it
