Which Sign Should I Choose For My Sun Or Moon In Tarot?

The “big three” – sun for purpose, moon for emotion, and rising for the energy we are putting out into the world – can be used to gain clarity on your inner feelings. By incorporating tarot into the understanding of your sun or moon sign, you can gain deeper insights into your personality, emotions, and life journey.

Tarot readings based on your sun, moon, and rising signs require readers to be astrologers, which most people are not. However, even those who don’t know astrology can at least know their sun sign. In this post, the author shows how to combine tarot and astrology in your readings.

Sun signs are often the most relevant, as they represent your core identity, emotions, and inner self. It is important to hold yourself responsible for developing these aspects of your life.

To make the most of the guidance and lessons your zodiac card brings forward for you, you don’t need to know how to read tarot. Instead, lay down a card for a client and mention its astrological attribution, such as their Sun or Moon sign. Horoscope should always be read by the rising sign, but your sun sign is not necessarily important.

To give the energy of the situation and what is being experienced, pull one Tarot card for each sign and then one Moon Card too. This will give you the energy of the situation and what is being experienced.

In summary, incorporating tarot and astrology into your readings can provide deeper insights into your personality, emotions, and life journey.

How do I know if I am a sun sign or a Moon sign?

Astrology plays a crucial role in determining a person’s zodiac personality, with the Sun sign representing the Sun and Moon sign representing emotions and inner mood. The Sun sign can be determined through the day and month of birth, while the Moon sign can be determined by calculating the full date, place, and time of birth. The Moon moves quickly around the zodiac, taking one month to visit all signs and staying in each sign for approximately two days. An exact time of birth is always the most favorable, but an astrologer can determine the Moon sign based on the proximity to the Moon changing signs.

Emotional Aries, ruled by Mars, can be both motivating and assertive, with the energy being either motivating and assertive or determined and aggressive. Emotional Taurus, ruled by Venus, is a sensitive and caring person, well-liked but susceptible to being taken advantage of. They give their all but expect the same back in love, and can be possessive and controlling if suspicious of their partner. When desires are not met or disrespected, they can close off and repress their emotions, allowing them to sort out their emotions. If treated well, Taurus can be open, loving, and sensual, making them an excellent lover or friend.

What is the luckiest card in the tarot?

The Wheel of Fortune card, part of the Major Arcana, is a symbol of destiny, fortune, success, elevation, luck, and felicity. It is often depicted in a six- or eight-spoked wheel, often attended by an individual dressed in an Egyptian-style headdress. In some decks, such as the AG Müller, the wheel is also attended by an individual wearing a blindfold. The wheel is not always inscribed with any lettering, but the letters T-A-R-O (clockwise) or T-O-R-A (counter clockwise) can be found aligned against four of the spokes, which can also be interpreted as R-O-T-A, the Latin word meaning “wheel”.

In some decks, such as the Waite, the wheel is inscribed with additional alchemical symbols representing the four elements: Earth, Air, Fire, and Water. These emblems can also be seen on the Magician’s table in the Magician card (Card I).

Which is more accurate, the Sun or the Moon sign?

The moon sign is more precise than the sun sign, as it is tailored to the exact place and time of birth. It is calculated by determining the zodiac sign in which the moon was at the exact time of birth. The moon sign looks inwards, focusing on our emotional side and personality. To find your moon sign, you need to know the exact time and place of birth, similar to calculating the ascendant. The best way to do this is to use a lunar calendar, which can be found online or an integrated calculator on platforms like mondkalender-online.

Both the ascendant and moon sign are sensitive to time, with the moon sign being down to the minute due to the moon’s faster movement through the zodiac signs. Both signs require accurate information about the time of birth to determine the moon sign.

Why is my Moon sign more accurate?

Astronomically, the Sun takes 30 days to change sign, resulting in the same characteristics for all people born in a specific month. The Moon changes its sign in just two and a half days, making it common for those born in that period. The rising sign, Lagna or Ascendant, lasts only two hours and is more specific to those born in that short period. The rising sign is the true indicator of our personality and behavior.

The difference between Vedic astrology and western astrology lies in the concept of pre-destination and transmigration of soul, guided by karmic patterns. Human life is conceptualized in three forms: body, mind, and soul. The body governs our physical existence, while the soul is represented by the Sun and the mind by the Moon. The soul requires a body to take birth, while the mind is responsible for making sense of life experiences and varying emotions.

When should I use tarot?

Tarot readings can be beneficial when making decisions or feeling stuck in confusion. They can help you identify the root cause of your feelings and provide guidance on the next steps. For example, if you have multiple options and no clear winner, you can pull a card to represent each option and reflect on how it makes you feel about the choices. If you’re getting a reading from a professional, you can provide them with specific details for clarity and direction. Tarot readings can also be helpful when you’re stuck in a situation, as they can help you identify the root cause and suggest the next steps.

Which is the strongest tarot card?

The Fool is a card in tarot games, not part of the Major Arcana. In most games, the Fool is independent of both plain suit cards and trump cards, and does not belong to either category. Tarot decks originally made for game playing do not assign a number to the Fool indicating its rank in the suit of trumps. The Fool is one of the most valuable cards in almost all tarot games.

In tarot games originating from Italy and France, the Fool has a unique role, sometimes called “the Excuse”. In these games, the player excuses the player from following suit or playing a trump. At the end of the trick, the player takes back the Fool and adds it to their trick pile, giving the trick’s winner the least valuable card from that same pile. If there are no cards to give in exchange, the Fool is worth one point less and an extra point is given to the trick-taker.

In a minor variant option of French tarot, a player dealt trump 1 but with no other trumps or the Fool can make trump 1 behave the same as the Fool. In official tournament rules, a player in this situation must declare their hand and force a redeal.

  • So great to watch this one again! Thank you Lada 😊🙏 ♥️ I applied it to my chart and it’s coinciding. Libra rising, Aries Sun and Aquarius Moon…. Saturn has been transiting my 5th house from ascendent, so I had to restructure and streamline my business. Nothing dramatic at the beginning. Unfortunately, my Moon happens to be in that 5th house, so from the Moon Saturn is in the 1st. Emotionally I feel totally lost, like I’m not the person I used to be in my career, so I had to put it in pause until I figure out who I actually am (the transit is a double wammy becase my Moon rules my 10th house of career and social status which got affected in the process)… But you also said in the yearly horoscope for Libra rising that, according to the ancient Vedic astrology, Saturn transiting the 5th could have us commit to some spiritual discipline, and this is totally the case for me! 🤗 So I focus on this positive manifestation of the transit to help me redefine myself by meditating and methodically studying spiritual stuff. From the Sun it’s the 11th house and I wilfully let go of many relationships that weren’t aligned anylonger, even isolated myself a bit, but at the same time I commited to a big and solid organisation whom I became a part of as a member and which provided me with the spiritual discipline and courses I spoke about. So everything perfectly intertwines in a big picture! Wonderful method.

  • Hi Lada! Congratulations on a brand new website – hope it brings you lots of luck!!! I have a question on what happens to the Ascendant if someone relocated to another country. How do we adjust the chart for relocated ascendant? Thank you in advance for your answer on this. Can’t find the answer on calculating relocation ascendant anywhere. Love and light ❤ Veronica – USA formerly Georgia, USSR

  • Years ago an astrologer said I had Aquarius rising I disputed her my rising is Capricorn. Anyway I was curious I looked up Aquarius rising. I ran across this information that with Aquarius rising you get great success and then all of a sudden it is taken away from you. The shock is all the work you did to build up the success now you have to start all over and build a new success. That is if you have the energy? I guess that is Uranus you always have to be thinking in the future and in the now at that same time with Saturn.

  • I wonder if you could recommend a good book on Pluto transits? I have 4 Pluto transits over the next 2-4 years and would like to take a deeper dive in understanding. I have Pluto opposition the Sun, Pluto trine Natal Moon, Pluto trine Natal Jupiter, Pluto square Natal Neptune. Any recommendations is appreciated.

  • What if the Sun and the Moon are in the same sign (house), like in my case. Both are in Aries ( 7th house)? I think that’s great in some way 🙂 I can’t change my feelings, but I can change my way of thinking. I have been always confused because I am Aries, asc Libra. Thank you for your clarification, Lada. I really enjoy perusal your articles. You are wonderful teacher 🙂

  • Hi Lada, could you do the Hot Aspects article, it’s lost since the hacking. I loved it. An fresh update could be imformative given your experience now. From memory the ascendant, lord of the ascendant, mars, venus, aspects were all very important to the cross fromed by Scorpio, the opposite sign Taurus, square Leo, Acquarius.

  • Does anyone know why I got unsubscribed from this website? I tried googling and found an answer that said youtube can automatically unsubscribe you when you don’t interact with a website but I always watch Lada’s articles and don’t watch some from other websites that I’m subscribed to and yet am still subscribed to those websites. So frustrating because I missed a month’s worth of articles thinking that none had been released.

  • Sorry but The Stellium is the most important in my experience 🤷🏻‍♀️ sun, mercury, Jupiter and north node in Aries! Moon in Scorpio conjunct pluto, my emotions are Scorpionic, I’m a Scorpio at home.. that’s it! But predictions don’t work that much from my moon in my experience.. I might be cancer rising, not sure, but isn’t always accurate.. it’s just my sun and stellium that actually make sense!
