It’s all on article; she was a threat to everyone at that large intersection, full of innocent people, pointing a loaded semi-automatic gun at random people. There was too much space for her to move around in for anyone to go in on foot and disarm her, and the alternative was to shoot her dead. Instead he knocked her down with his car, instantly making dozens of innocent people safer, and apparently driving slow enough so as not to kill her. I’m sorry if she was hurt, and she must have been in need of mental health care, but that officer did his job, imo.
Great job on that officer eliminating a threat without anyone else getting injured. This is what needs to be done out there, treating criminals with respect and giving them too much of an opportunity to comply almost never ends well. This type of approach needs to be employed for all car chases, specially those that run for hours putting other bystanders at risk.
My dad was driving down a road 30 years ago, when I was a kid, when we faced a man pointing a rifle at us. My dad shoved me under the passenger dashboard and floored it at the gunman. The man moved but fired the gun at us. After it was over, the cops actually tried to reprimand my father for trying to run the man over. 🙄 I see things have changed for the better in the police response.
This was the BEST thing that I have seen in years! This is how it is done! Nothing but praise for the officer serving and protecting the innocent people that would normally be victims in a case like this. Criminals need to know that this is what they are up against and maybe it would curb some of the crime. Also each state needs to build another prison to give these criminals a place to live. Prisons have been overcrowded for 30 years now and we need to build more now.

He could’ve used his service weapon to neutralize the threat, but instead he used his vehicle with just enough force to knock her down so that other officers could come in to disarm and handcuff her. It really takes something bad to be happening in your life to actually go through with something like that. Man or woman, I feel sorry for that individual. It probably could a went way worse as time passed or maybe better. But hats off to tha cop. Needs to be more brutal tactics like that to resolve a situation. But for real main, wonder what coulda influenced her to do that? Drugs, disease, terminal illness, miscarriage, divorce, cat dying,kids taken away or dying. Never can tell. She assaulted several people with a deadly weapon. The officer did what was necessary and given the level of threat, she is lucky they didn’t just shoot her. I think police showed amazing restraint as she was clearly a danger to civilians and herself. If you think police should wait until a person fires a gun before stopping them, you are part of the problem. She is brandishing a weapon and pointing it at other people. No telling when or who she was willing to shoot. Good on the police for stopping this threat.

One day my boyfriend and I were walking to Rite Aid with our puppy and he stayed outside with him and I come out and she’s showing him her vagina…telling him it’s just hanging out.
