The Honda Magic Seats system is a unique feature that allows rear seats to be folded and maneuvered for maximum cargo space, comfort, and convenience. This technology was first developed in 2001 and is available across many Honda vehicles in the electrified range. The Magic Seats pivot upwards to make room under the vehicle’s low load floor.
The current Honda Jazz and CR-V offer Magic Seats, but the forthcoming ZR-V and HR-V have had this functionality removed, as has the current generation Civic. The Magic Seat’s best trick is in the seat itself, which folds up against the back rest to create a very convenient new space behind the front seats.
The 2021 Honda HR-V offers a surprising amount of cargo space, capable of transporting even the bulkiest items. However, when that’s not enough, the Magic Seat® is there to save the day. The 2015 Honda Fit’s backseat definitely qualifies as a magic seat when it comes to everyday use.
The HR-V vastly expands one’s capabilities with its 60/40 split 2nd-row Magic Seat. Its three distinct modes make for extraordinary functionality. The innovative Magic Slide® 2nd-row seats can be moved toward the center of the vehicle, making it easier to move a child in the second row within reach of the driver.
The Magic Seats® feature is available on newer Honda vehicles, but the exact model with the Magic Seats® included as a standard feature remains unknown. The 2021 Honda HR-V offers a surprising amount of cargo space, capable of transporting even the bulkiest items.
