Whoa, Where Are The Teleport Spells?

Mages can learn a spell that creates a portal to Valdrakken and a spell that teleports themselves to the city. These spells can be learned in the city itself, from the portal trainer in the Seat of the Aspects. There are several items available for purchase, crafted by profession, or obtained in various locations to teleport individuals around the world.

Teleports are useful utility spells that allow casters to quickly transport themselves to another friendly location. All portal spells in the game can be learned at level 24, with the exception of portal spells to Oribos and Valdrakken, which can be learned at levels 58 and 68, respectively. To train their spells, mages must discover the city before learning to teleport themselves or port a group there. In Classic, you must discover the city before you can learn to teleport yourself or port a group there.

Each mage teleport spell is trained at a portal trainer, usually located near the mage trainers in a major city. In Shattrath, the neutral portal trainer, Iorioa, is located near the center of the city, in the eastern cove inside the Terrace of Light.

The most basic teleportation spell is Blink, taught by the mages of the Kirin Tor in Dalaran, which designates specific destinations for teleportation. You can find the Portal Trainer in UC at the top of the Skull building in the Mage Quarter. Teleport is a mage ability that allows for teleportation to various cities and is a container spell for other Teleport spells that can be learned. If you don’t learn these spells automatically, you will need to visit the portal trainer in Stormwind.

  • At the 7:40 mark you state about using the AV insignias may help a coordinated team to win the game faster . I can say as part of the largest Epic BG community’s on Horde and Allied side we use these pretty regular to recall to recap towers in base it may be hard to get pugs to use these and sometimes some pugs dont even know about these toys or the old trinket of the same effect

  • finally time to aknowledge way too long cooldowns! Also putting down a jaina locket portal next to the summon stone is the best thing you can do to blame the mages. you should have covered the last edict of argus and Cartel Xy’s Proof of initiation; Both are great teleportation for people who like to go.

  • I know it’s not quite the same type of item, but the Potions of Deepholm are super useful, since they are class/faction agnostic and function as a quick way to get back to faction capitals on a 5 minute CD. Useful if you don’t want to put another method on CD for some reason, or you are needing to go back and forth a lot

  • a lot of good choices here, i’ve personally always had a soft spot for any of the hearthstone or equivalents that take you to a similar place to your regular hearthstone (like dalaran hearthstone) because i tend to swap from current content to old content a lot and having that amount of utility to get back to base is useful af (until they change the portal hubs in the previous expansions)

  • I’m wondering if you can do a TLDR rundown of expansions. Obviously starting with Shadowlands. TLDR being a solid 20-30 minutes of just pure lore 😀 I personally love the lore of cataclysm and the elementals and how you’ve talked through the villains spotlight. I just want to know more about sylvanas, the jailer, the eternal ones. And maybe even why certain bosses appear in the raids (Rygelon).

  • 9:20 I know this is an old complaint by now, but I really wish they’d done a better job trying to get the maps of Outland and Draenor to match up. Sure, Outland is technically something like 30 years later and after the world shattered and the landscape changed…but the differences still stand out like a sore thumb to me

  • The storm pike insignia and the one for the horde given during the Alterac valley event back in BFA is also very useful because if you have a group of people who have this and you’re having problems in alterac valley, like for example the horde is at your base but you still have a few minutes before the towers go down to destroy their boss a group of players can use this to instantly teleport back to their base and just annoy the horde while your team caps the towers

  • Just got ‘Going To Need A Bigger Bag’ a couple days ago, had to kill over 1100 Spineclaw Crabs since downloading a tracking addon, so it was likely near 2000 or more if MoP-legion kills were included. Crazy achievement, I hear the Nazjatar one is harder if you didn’t get it during BFA due to some rares requiring zone player saturation.

  • Anyone else feel like this article was quite buggy? There were a lot of errors in it like: – Direbrew’s Remote doesn’t go to the Grim Guzzler, but to the entrance of the Dungeon – Direbrew’s Remote does have a cooldown. It says so in the on-screen discription – There was a picture of Dreanor Shadowmoonvalley, but it should have been the Outlands version – Only the raid is called the “Trial of the Crusader”, the dungeon is called the “Trial of the Champion”

  • The MOST useful item in the game is the Dalaran Hearthstone, it teleports you to Dalaran and there is only a few seconds travel to a room where you can teleport to your main capital, from where you can teleport to ANYWHERE. I use Dalaran Hearthstone all the time to get to Stormwind and it is only a 20 minute cooldown while your number 1 item has a 2-8 hour cooldown and require you to switch gear. I used to have the back in my inventory but it is just a waste of space.
