  • I just got back from a trip to Disneyland. My daughter is autistic and I was a little worried about the interactions the characters would have with her. They were all perfect. At one point she got upset that she had to wait her turn to meet chip and dale. She didn’t understand she was next. She thought she was going to go with the family in front of us, when I held her back she sat on the bench and quietly held back tears. Dale held his hand up to the photographer and went over to my daughter, sat next to her and began to pet her head and hug her, making my girl giggle and lifting her mood. He then signaled her to wait right behind the photographer and after posing with the family ahead of us. The two of them played with her and got her beaming again. It really is magical.

  • THAT, that omg-I’m-feeling-the-outline-of-Mickey’s-ears moment, when you suddenly realize the source of all that nonstop positive energy you’ve experienced from Mickey your entire life is standing right in front of you and is excited to meet you….. THAT is what it’s all about. The very center, the nucleus of Walt Disney’s mission in life in 30 seconds.

  • Man…Disneyland/World is always a land of magic. So many heartwarming events caught in their parks. This also reminds me of another article where Minnie Mouse communicated to a deaf child using sign language. In truth though, we gotta give huge credit to all actors and actresses beneath the suits and masks.

  • This reminds me of my friend, she never went to Disneyland as a child as a hobo spider bit her and the venom ruined her organs and would get frequent heart attacks. But after finding the right medicine that helped her get better she was able to do everything she never got to do. When she finally gets to Disneyland and saw Mickey for the first time she ran up and cried in his arms. I wished I had been there to see that.

  • I remember when it was my first ever time at Disneyland and me and my family went into the mickey house tour and no one in my family knew we were going too meet mickey at the end my mom and dad grew up perusal Mickey in Mexico and she said since she was little her dream was too meet mickey and when she saw him she was so excited and she started asking me to tell her how to say “I grew up perusal you” in English mickey Heard me and he started speaking Spanish to my mom I was so happy he even thanked me for helping my mom Disney is the happiest place on earth

  • i cried so much! Disney does loveable things for ppl… i just love it! I been very close with Disney ever since i was about a year old… i still remember the first time i touched Mickey’s nose… im 11 now… and i still have to take pictures with the crew! Im able to go to Disneyland every week because of my pass… but that’s not important… anyways, this article is adorable!!!! Keep it up Disney! Everyone loves you =,)

  • Oh this is exactly what I needed to brighten my day! This is..sweet. And I have a story of my own to tell: I was born premature, meaning I was born early. I had very, very, very, very bad sight. And I had to stay in the hospital for three more months than expected. Moving into First Grade, my parents realized that I couldn’t hear very well out of my right ear. So they took my to a doctor. He said that I have permanent deafness in my right ear. My parents and I were pretty shocked about this. I am starting 7th Grade this year, all throughout my Elementary I’ve told people about how I’m deaf and have terrible vision, some understand completely and feel for me while others don’t and call me an attention seeker, which didn’t really help with my life. I hope that these high schoolers can understand, as well as my new teachers for this year and more on. I hope whoever is reading this will understand and not be so rude about it, also I hope you have a good day!

  • I… have a story of going to disney world when I was 14. It’s… not an entirely happy one. It’s not due to any fault of Disney… But… I was in that persons’showes in a way… and looking back.. I feel bad for what happened, only towards the end, I realized that I should letgo of my grievences with my disability and enjoy as much i can, after all, it’s disney world.
