That is sad that a comedian has to defend himself and kinda defuse a situation because 2 dummies cannot take a JOKE. He was cracking jokes about everyone, not just her and she got all sour about it. Her boyfriend too got all sour about it as well. Both of them were so salty about it that they didn’t even come back the following year in 2014 when he hosted it again. If I were in Danica’s shoes, I would have been laughing about that too.
My son and I had a chance to meet Ricky at Sonoma this year. To all the people saying he has no personality, you are flat our wrong. He was one of the nicest most cordial drivers on the track. He gave my 3 year old a fist bump and signed his book. He seemed very genuinely happy to give us just 30 seconds of his time.
Is this woman ever happy about anything? She always acts as if everything is a bother to her. She needs an attitude adjustment about life. She was boo’d heavily in Indycar just for saying it wasn’t her fault they weren’t fast at Indianapolis one year, and since then, haters have been relentless with talking trash about her. She’s seen, read, and heard it all, but she’s never had practice with feeling out of place as someone’s date, in an event honoring the best of the best. She really looked uncertain with how to react, especially with knowing she’s such a center of attention. She looks totally caught off-guard.

Danica doesn’t think its funny cause its the truth . She is not a good driver in the Nascar series . She is a pretty face and she is a member of a great Nascar team so its not the CAR, Until she actually figures it out she will be a bit of a joke for the sport because to market her,makes the sport stronger.But if you point out the overwhelming lack of success in the actual events it appears to be a crime. She was better in The Indy Cars and most drivers don’t do well in that transition to Nascar. I don’t think she will ever win a Nascar race. She simply is not that class of driver in the Nascar series. Dale Earnhart is more relevant but he grew up with the series and even he has underwhelmed as well . Both are likeable Drivers but sports is judged by results not looks. In Danica Patrick case, those results are pretty laughable.
It’s actually pretty rude of her to have a such an obviously cold reaction. Making a host feel like he’s done something wrong when what he said was perfectly fine in this sort of environment. If you can’t take a little light-hearted ribbing then award ceremonies aren’t for you and you should probably stay home.
Danica’s ice queen act is getting old. She keeps saying she wants to be known just as a racer, not someone who looks great in a bikini, then gets mad when they do exactly that. Sorry, but when finishing on the lead lap is a major accomplishment, you suck. If you watch the whole thing, Gordon took far more heat than her and Stenhouse combined, and he was laughing, smiling, having a good time. And unlike either of them he’s actually made a mark on the sport (at least a mark that doesn’t have swimwear as a prerequisite). Ship her back to open-wheel. Let them deal with her traveling circus show. Or maybe she can get a job driving a tour bus at Disney World.
Ricky, or whatever his name is, is a huge tool…Why is he sitting there looking like someone just took his lunch money? It’s F’ing comedy and if you can’t take it then don’t show up, they obviously knew the jokes were coming, which is why they were so defensive as soon as Jay mentioned her name. I was actually a Danica fan until I saw this clip.
Jay Mohr is brilliant. He is a COMEDIAN. Dont blame him. Blame NASCAR for hiring a comedian. They make fun of people. Yoi cant have it both ways. Shame on Danica for not having thick skin. Its comedy. That’s all it is. Jay Mohr Is so talented. His job is Make jokes and make jokes of situations. He was not the bad guy. Laugh and deal with it. If NASCAR didnt like it than dont hire comedians to be the host.
Actors don’t really compete. Drivers do. Actors can smile all day because they know how to cover their emotions when made fun of on live t.v. These drivers clearly have no way to emotionally deal with the situation and so they wear it on their faces….which makes a roast like this totally unfriendly. Kudos for Jay Mohr. They should be honored.
feel sorry for Jay Mohr… he isn’t kissing danika’s ass here… he is kissing the ass of the people in charge of hiring and firing him for OTHER gig’s… you have to do stupid gigs like this (a be nice) to get other ones. But on a side note… there are MANY comedians out there that would have ripped her a new one when she reacted like a two year old… there are a lot of comedians (Gilbert Gottfried Aflac deal) that just say F to all that and keep pushing… because, really, that’s what they should do.

I was a Danica Patrick fan since she started in Indy Car. I followed her & my support in the move to Nascar. BUT? I defended her on Facebook & told her haters to remember to treat her like a lady. The terrible things people said about her & her Female Mind & Body just made me mad. So as I continued my support, I reported to facebook the many Bullying, bashes & foul language about Danica. Well. A year a go I found I could no longer comment or show my support to My Favorite Female driver. On Facebook some one reported my attempts to try to make people, Say something nice or not at all? So after Danica’s page blocked my comments. I have taken all my support & items I had as collectibles, Fan stuff & Pictures etc. I destroyed. Go look for my Support in the Land Fill. I am so sorry that as a Gentleman I tried to defend her honor. Then to be blocked & told that My comments to the derogatory comments? Got me blocked & can no longer show my support? I don’t particularly like Jay Mohr, but he was doing a great job. I do like Danica, but she needs to pull her head out of her ass and listen to what her mentors/coaches, whatever, are telling her. Quit letting your feelings get the best of you and for shit’s sake, have a sense of humor! How can it be fun without a sense of humor?
God damn, the fact he had to basically apologize is all due to the fact Danica needs to just loosen up and stop taking everything he said so damn person…her and that douche bag boyfriend of hers need to just relax and learn how to relax….everybody is just so damn serious these days when it comes to stuff like this..to a point were it just becomes ridiculous…I’ve heard my 4 year old nephew drop more insulting jokes toward people than this, just way too innocent for him to have to apologize, and explain himself.
