I have been in my day wrongfully arrested by pushy police. I felt they exhibited absolute malice, but I never assumed that they had been “bought off,” by anyone. Here is a woman who insists from thousands of miles away that police officers she has never met must have been bought off because the alternative is for her to accept accountability, even in the most indirect way. Gas prices! In the UK, we pay £/l – Pounds Sterling per litre, so it takes a bit of calculation to compare it with $/gal, but it works out that the UK is paying about four times what the Americans are paying. It’s because Russia is a major oil producer, and most of Europe was getting its fuel from them – but now that their fuel revenues are funding the Ukrainian war, Europe, and the UK have decided to look elsewhere for their petroleum products, and, of course, the price has gone up massively – and as a knock-on effect, the prices in the US have gone up as well – and, of cpourse, in any country where the cost of fuel, and consequently the cost of transport increases, inflation increases alongside it. If you guys feel that Biden is the source of your increased fuel prices, would you send him to the UK please? We could really do with his fiscal management, and to have fuel and inflation as low as they are in the US!
When I was 9-10 ..in the 60’s ..was throwing a football around with a friend who wanted to inform me that the South never lost the war …They just let the North think they won ..Because they were such “crybabies” …His exact words ..this 9-10 year old mus have learned this from his parents …reminds me of where we are today …just glad I’m old and have brought no kids into this mess of a world ….

I think it’s because people remember what was happening, pre-pandemic. They remember the booming economy with the lowest unemployment for minorities in our country. They remember the packed stores, the low inflation and the booming stock market. They remember their 401 k’s growing and growing as well, as their brokerage stock portfolios doing the same. American’s love their cars and the low gas prices appealed to them. They remember that ISIS was decimated and our troops were starting to come home.Things were not bad back then up until the pandemic. Now I know that none of this had anything to do with Trump’s policies and was just the result of Obama’s plan kicking in, but the Trumpies think that this stuff was because of him. It was not. Those Trump supporters are so so ignorant. Just be patient and soon Biden’s progressive ideas, laws, and executive orders will take effect. Remember, that soon we will be respected again on the world stage and our allies can stop laughing at us and can trust us again; and most importantly, getting the climate global warming under control so we could finally see the earth cooling down. I read in the NY Times that very soon the Biden plan will kick in and we will see our country better than ever. President Biden is trying his best to undo what Trump did to our country; just give it more time and he is sure to make America great again.
Go and vote and ask everyone you know to do so. Nag until they vote. We will be the part of the history which would save the democracy. Short-term hardships is worth enduring for freedom of choice and democracy. We should learn from Ukraine how to fight for democracy. Get up your couch today and do it.
