Is zeta a dog or cat?
Zeta is a female Therianthrope from the Golden Leopard Clan, known for her blonde hair, large cat ears, purple eyes, and long tail. She bears a striking resemblance to her ancestor Lily, like Alpha and her ancestor Olivier. Zeta wears a customary Slime Bodysuit with a large cape in the light novel, and a stylized jacket with puffy fur accents at the collar and waistline. She also has an asymmetrical legging with gold rings circling her right femur and parallel belts circling her left femur.
In the anime and game, her leggings don’t have frills but instead have boots with a V collar and cuffed endings above the short-heeled shoes with a simple gold lining over the metatarsal. Zeta dresses appropriately for the location she finds herself in, such as in a jungle, a snowy tundra, or a fishing boat out to sea. In the anime, she wears standard khaki shorts and a jacket with exploratory boots, while in the game, she wears a cute sailor girl outfit similar to a schoolgirl uniform.

What is the alpha animal?
In social animal studies, the alpha is the highest ranking individual in a dominance hierarchy, often referred to as the alpha pair. This role can be held by males, females, or both, depending on the species. Alphas usually gain preferential access to food, desirable items, and sex or mates, and may achieve their status through superior physical strength, aggression, social efforts, alliance building, or breeding. Alpha status can change through a fight between the dominant and subordinate animal, which can be fatal.
Beta and Omega are other social animals in a hierarchical community, often acting as collaborators and second-in-command to the reigning alpha or alphas. In some bird species, males pair up in twos when courting, with the beta male aiding the alpha male. The social context of the animals significantly impacts courtship behavior and overall reproductive success. In some species, only alphas or an alpha pair reproduce, and the individual with alpha status may sometimes change through a fight between the dominant and subordinate animal.
