📹 Is Carnival’s Havana Experience Worth The Cost??! What’s it Like?… Carnival Horizon
In this episode of Lauren of All Trades… Lauren FINALLY gets to try out a Havana Cabana and the Havana Experience!
We just sailed on Carnival Vista in a Havana Cabana patio stateroom last month. I will never again book another cruise with Carnival in any cabin BUT a Havana Cabana cabin on a Vista class ship; it was that good of an experience. The entire outside deck with pool, hot tubs, bar, sunpads, lounge chairs, etc… totally restricted, 24/7, to Havana Cabana stateroom passengers ONLY. There was never a wait for bar service. There was always room in a hot tub. There was never a wait for a lounge chair. There was always shaded seating available. The pool was never crowded or scummy. There was always a Carnival staff member checking for armbands and enforcing the rules. I’ve never felt more relaxed and free to enjoy exploring and experiencing all the amenities of a cruise ship as I did on this cruise because, I knew that whenever I was ready for cocktails, swimming and sun bathing, it was on immediate stand by. Well worth the price to have a private area just steps away from your cabin. We are sailing next on a Vista sister ship (the Horizon) and are going to try a Havana Cabana inside cabin on deck 5 and see if we really miss having the patio area. Side notes… no propulsion issues on our cruise and no fights witnessed. Excellent dinners at Fahrenheit 555 and Cucina del Capitano. Piano Bar was great as were cocktails at Alchemy and Havana Bars. Met some wonderful staff as well. Make sure you are booked on a Vista class ship for this same experience. Happy sailings all!
On my bucket list for the Vista, but I’d definitely get one on the same deck and not one of those on 6 or 7. Appreciate the tips for Jubilee and Mardi Gras. We cruised on Mardi Gras in April 2022 and will be on the Jubilee next May, but in regular balcony rooms. I didn’t realize they made those changes in those ships.
Thank you for this article we are sailing Havana for the first time on the Vista next month, we got a Cabana cabin on Starboard side. Aside from the door sliding open did y’all feel comfortable going to the pool area and leaving your back door unlocked? I’m really surprised there isn’t a key card entry available for security reasons. Also, what sort of food options if any where available in the Havana Bar area?
I will be getting a Havana Cabana with the balcony like yours in your article but on the Panorama in a week, but now i am a bit fearful because im on a FB chat and many talk about getting their clothes dirty with soot. Part of me is wondering if i made the right choice in paying that extra fee for the Havana area but i thought why not, we deserve it so we will try to enjoy it. Anyone try the Panorama Havana area here?
