Can I Believe In Chakras And Be A Catholic?

Chakras, the seven energy centers of the body, are believed to be part of God’s wisdom and can impact certain areas of our personality. While they are not explicitly mentioned in Catholic teachings, individuals can incorporate chakra concepts into their personal beliefs as long as they align with key Christian principles. Some Christians argue that belief in chakras does not necessarily conflict with the Bible, as they represent aspects of human consciousness created by God.

Incorporating chakras into Christian practices can raise concerns, as it may diverge from core Christian beliefs and values. However, the Holy Spirit plays a central role in Christian faith. Christians can engage with chakra healing and invite the healing power of Jesus into the chakras. The intersection of chakras and Christian beliefs is explored, uncovering the compatibility and complexities of biblical principles and spiritual harmony.

Chakras are “parts” of our souls that impact certain areas of our personality. While it is not considered a faith, Christians can believe in chakras as part of God’s wisdom. Chakra meditation, yoga postures, breathing practices, and meditation are ways to unblock your chakras.

However, there is no direct mention of chakras in the Bible, which may cause concern. It is important to note that electricity is not a part of the chakra system, and it is essential to understand the relationship between energy and the seven chakras in order to fully understand their significance in Christian beliefs.

In this video, I discuss the topic of opening your chakras and if a Christian should participate in doing so. As an ex-Hindu, there is …

Are chakras okay in Christianity?

The concept of chakras is one that is embraced by some Christians as a means of integrating spiritual practices, particularly in the context of spiritual healing. The tenets of the power of prayer, meditation, and spiritual practices are held in common by both chakra and Christianity, despite the differences in language and practices. This connection serves to underscore the shared importance of spiritual well-being.

What religion believes in chakras?

Hindu and Buddhist texts describe the important chakras as a column along the spinal cord, connected by vertical channels. These chakras are believed to be continually present, highly relevant, and a means to psychic and emotional energy. The tantric traditions seek to master these chakras through various breathing exercises or with the assistance of a teacher. The chakras are symbolically mapped to specific human physiological capacity, seed syllables, sounds, subtle elements, deities, colors, and other motifs.

The belief in the chakra system differs from the historic Chinese system of meridians in acupuncture, as it relates to the subtle body, with no definite nervous node or precise physical connection. The tantric systems envision the chakra as continually present, highly relevant, and a means to psychic and emotional energy. Meditation is aided by extensive symbology, mantras, diagrams, and models (deity and mandala).

These ideas are not unique to Hindu and Buddhist traditions, but have overlapping concepts in other cultures in the East and West, known as subtle body, spirit body, esoteric anatomy, sidereal body, and etheric body.

Can you be Catholic and believe in spirituality?

Catholic spirituality is a sacramental approach that perceives the presence of God in all aspects of life, including individuals, communities, movements, occurrences, locations, objects, the environment, and the entire cosmos.

Does Christianity allow spirituality?

Does Christianity allow spirituality?

The doctrine of “the spirituality of the church” is distinct from Christian spirituality, which focuses on personal living in the power of the Holy Spirit. The church, as an institute, is a spiritual entity, not a civil or biological one like the state or family. Its call and mission are not political, social, or economic. The church’s proclamation of the word of God may have moral implications that impact matters politically, socially, or economically, but it does not render the church a political institution.

The spirituality of the church means that the church has a spiritual mission to the world, telling it the glorious news of new life in Christ. This mission is not given to the state, family, or any other institution of God, but solely to the church and its members. Recognizing its true spirituality allows the church to attend to its calling or do what it is called to be and do by none other. A recovery of the doctrine of the spirituality of the church will allow the church to properly distinguish itself from the world and give itself to the world, fulfilling its Great Commission to all nations in the gathering and perfecting of the saints until the end of the age.

Recognizing the doctrine of the spirituality of the church (SOTC) and properly employing it does not simply permit one to put everything in the proper box without dealing with potentially difficult matters. The recapture of this doctrine is not a panacea for all problems, but rather a step towards a more comprehensive understanding of the church’s spirituality.

Can a Catholic believe in crystals?

Crystals, a part of God’s creation, are considered good and beautiful. However, the modern fascination with crystals as “healing stones” and the claims of “crystal energy” has been around since the beginning of time. These deceptions attempt to turn part of God’s creation into a false god, violating the First Commandment. Attributing spiritual power to crystals is akin to creating a false god.

Some of God’s creation does provide healing power, such as medicine, which is a scientific discovery of the natural healing power of certain plants and minerals. However, the claims that crystals have some form of “energy” are not scientifically based but rather a spiritual claim.

The claim that crystals have spiritual energy stems from various occult practices that are now commonly grouped under the “New Age” movement. These practices go back to the beginning of time and have been identified and condemned by the Bible. One of the clearest modern-day teachings on these issues can be found in the Catechism of the Catholic Church under the title of “Divination and magic”.

Is it OK for Catholics to meditate?

Meditation is a key method of prayer for Catholics, as it allows for intentional time with God, strengthening their relationship with Him. While not everyone is given this gift, it is important to recognize that not everyone is a better or worse follower of Christ. A free beginners guide to Catholic Meditation is available for download, allowing individuals to carry with them the gift of contemplation.

Can Christians do meditation?

Can Christians do meditation?

Meditation is a crucial spiritual discipline for Christians, as it helps shape their thoughts, character, and actions. In the Old Testament, Psalm 145, a poem about God’s character and works, encourages meditation on God’s attributes and actions. This practice shapes a person’s thoughts, character, and actions. Psalm 1 and Psalm 119 also call for meditation on Scripture. Psalm 1 explains that regular meditation on the Bible will nourish the soul and help resist sin, indicating human flourishing.

In the New Testament, passages like Philippians 4:4-9, Colossians 3:1-3, Romans 8:5-7, Hebrews 3:1, and Hebrews 12:2 encourage Christians to focus their minds on God and his plans, aligning their thoughts, emotions, and actions with God’s purposes. These passages also encourage believers to focus on Jesus, filling them with hope and enabling them to emulate him. The writers of these New Testament passages emphasize that a person’s thoughts determine their future, making meditation a critical spiritual discipline for followers of Jesus.

Can you be Catholic and believe in chakras?

Chakras, Sanskrit for wheel or disk, are one of seven basic energy centers in the body that facilitate life energy flow into and out of the aura. They correlate with major nerve ganglia branching from the spinal column and are associated with levels of consciousness, archetypal elements (Jungian concepts), developmental stages of life, colors, sounds, and body functions.

Chakras are influenced by Eastern religion spirituality, which influences New Age and eastern religious practices such as yoga, Reiki, and Transcendental Meditation. These practices are considered occult-based and must be avoided by Catholics. The Kundalini Serpent, the eighth Chakra, is a significant reference as it is stated in Catholic teachings that the serpent is the devil and satan.

The focus of Eastern spirituality is on the inner self, sometimes referred to as the “god source”, which is in direct opposition to the First Commandment. This spirituality treats the person as their own being or god, ignoring the true God’s request and focusing on self-improvement through human techniques.

Are Christians allowed to meditate?

Meditation is not a sin, but rather a way to draw closer to God. It is encouraged throughout Scripture and is not forbidden or discouraged. God will never turn away a wholeheartedly seeking after Him. Spending time daily in prayer and pondering God’s Word helps draw closer to Him, not away from it. Jesus had issues with those who relished the Law more than they worshiped God. Christian Meditation is a form of prayer that helps answer the question, “If I meditate am I sinning?” The Old Testament often translated “medicate” as “muse or ponder”, which helps answer the question of whether meditation is a sin. The psalms are the most prolific purveyors of the concept of meditation, with over 87 of the references to the word “meditate” in the English Standard Version found in them.

What did Jesus say about chakras?

What did Jesus say about chakras?

The Bible does not explicitly mention the chakras or energy, which may seem like a cause for concern. However, it is important to note that the Bible is not the only source of information about God’s creation. It also shares God’s promises in the world. The Bible was not intended to be an exhaustive text describing the intricacies of God’s creation. However, we can find concepts like the “breath of life” in Genesis 2:7, which refers to the vital life force or life-giving energy. This highlights the importance of considering the Bible as the Word of God and not as an exhaustive description of God’s creation.

  • What we refer to as Yoga, the stretching and breathing exercises were not a big part of the original Yoga. But in the early 20th century, Hindu nationalists, impressed by British physical culture appropriated what was a YMCA program of breathing and calisthenics based on the work of a Dane called Pehr Henrik Ling, the creator of Swedish massage. This system of calisthenics was then fused with the original system of mystical practices to create modern Yoga. Just remove the pagan woo and call it what it originnal was, Danish Calisthenics.

  • Since you say you do not know too much about the history of Yoga, you should comment on it out of ignorance. Yoga has Occult roots and the basic meaning of Yoga is occult and encourages idolatry. For that reason alone, no one should practice it because it opens them up to being influenced by demons. If a person wants to get more flexible all they have to do is research the many normal stretching exercises that are known and avoid yoga with its accompanying pagan roots.

  • WRONG FATHER! YOU ARE WRONG!!! Go ask Father Carlos Martins, a well known EXORCIST, and he will tell you to NOT do Yoga because the positions are worship positions for the Hindu “gods” which are actually demons! So instead of trying to answer a question about which you do not know the history, don’t answer! Just say you do not know and that you will find out for us and answer at a later time when you have the answer. Be humble and admit that you do not know! You are causing people to sin and worship demons known as Hindu gods.

  • No Fr. Nick…ignorance or intentions do not protect you from evil. You may practice yoga for exercise but the reality is that it is opening pathways for the demonic. This is part of Hinduism which worships many gods, meaning demons. If it’s exercise you want, there are plenty of other stretching exercises. You don’t have to do Yoga. Please educate yourself before you give advice.

  • Fr Nick, you should have educated yourself about what yoga actually is before answering this question. It is a Hindu worship practice, as many swamis & educators made clear when I was learning about non-dualist Vedanta Hinduism. In fact, it was Swami Vivekananda from that school of Hindu thought who first brought what Americans think of as yoga instruction to the US in the late 1800s. Yoga itself refers to yoking & there are multiple paths of yoga. Hatha yoga involves the practice of various physical positions – asanas – in order to seek liberation from self & oneness with universal consciousness (brahma), also known as enlightenment. (I was more drawn to Jnana yoga, the path of knowledge, & listened to hundreds of hours of lectures & recordings/studies of Vedantic scriptures.) There are plenty of testimonies from former asana teachers who came to Christ (whether thru Catholicism or Protestantism) here on Youtube who you can learn from. Exorcist Fr Chad Ripperger also indicates that yoga has opened people to demonic influence/oppression/possession/etc. Old Testament & New Testament aren’t vague in cautioning against the gods of gentiles & the danger of participating in such worship practices.

  • And furthermore, Fr. Nick, this line of thinking then is the same as saying that you can look at horoscopes as long as you just think they are fun and don’t mean anything by them, or fortune tellers, if you don’t buy into it but just want to enjoy it, or what about masturbation? if you don’t think sexual thoughts and just do it for “relaxation” as you say, then is it not still a grave sin, that is a spiritually open door to evil. No all of those are grave sins you would agree, yes?, they may not be mortal because the intent is not having full knowledge, but that’s a lie from the enemy to say no harm in venial sin because you didn’t “buy into or believe in the evil of it”.

  • With all due respect… how could you give advice against yoga to potentially millions of people on the internet when you have openly admitted to not knowing much about this ancient and deeply spiritual practice that has existed for thousands of years? Please stop tainting our culture and traditions.

  • You acknowledge that you don’t know much about yoga, then suggest that there is a conflict of spirituality. Before answering a question like that, you should educate yourself and understand that yoga is not a religiion and is totally compatible with Christianity. Otherwise you are just disseminating ignorance which give Catholics a bad reputation. More Catholics should probably try a more intellectual approach and understand the immense healing value of yoga and put into practice – starting with you Fr. Nick.

  • Each Yoga pose is meant to YOKE the practitioner to the Hindu God/dess it represents. Therefore you CANNOT separate the Spiritualism from the poses. I wish you would have researched what Yoga really is before answering the question. There are plenty of Former Yoga teachers who will tell you what is just said above. Do your research people please.

  • Christ was a Yogi. There’s clear depictions of him in eastern yogic poses. Same with various saints. “One cannot eat bread alone to survive but from the very breath of God”. They fasted for weeks and focused on their breathing and we’re eventually thrust into Prophetic states mentioned in the Bible. Sounds really close to what Yogic sciences are talking about lol Let’s not leave out the fact their is much evidence to suggested Jesus traveled to India and learned during the “Lost Years” before the crucifixion.

  • Fr Nick, as some one said, before answering a question or a subject you are not familiar with, you should read up the subject and see what the Catholic Church and Exorcists have to say about esp this subject – yoga. You’re not expected to give your own private opinion as based on your answer many innocent lay persons may fall into the “Occult”. And, you will be responsible to God for their souls. If you put a sandwich consisting of meat – two kinds into your mouth, you can chew only on one and not chew the other? If you’re breathing in air – can you eliminate Carbon dioxide from entering your lungs? Get the message?? You cannot do Yoga ie do stretches only without the corresponding spiritual connotation behind it. Each pose is an occult symbol meaning and dedicated to a spirit of Yoga.

  • Practicing Yoga is a Hindu practice, along with going to a Hindu Temple, not eating meat because of a belief in reincarnation, and marking various Hindu religious days. Assisting at Holy Mass, confessing sins to a priest for absolution, and praying the Rosary are Catholic things. Make a choice. Follow a Hindu deity or follow Jesus Christ. It is not right for someone who does not believe in reincarnation to practice Yoga. It is a mockery of Hinduism to do so even though most non-Hindu North Americans do not realize that they are mocking Hindus by not taking Yoga seriously. Similarly, to practice Catholicism while believing in reincarnation is a mockery of the Catholic religion. As Christians we believe not only in the bodily Resurrection and Ascension of Jesus Christ, but also in the Resurrection of our bodies, a reuniting of body and soul for each of us one day. This will happen at the time of Jesus’ return for most of us. Regardless of whether someone considers Hindu deities to be gods or demons, reincarnation is not compatible with Christianity. So, make a choice. If you choose Yoga, then do it all in and embrace Hinduism. If you believe in Jesus Christ, then choose to follow Jesus all in. Learn your Catholic Faith and put it into practice. You cannot have your left foot in one canoe and your right foot in another canoe for very long. As a Catholic priest, I say, choose Jesus Christ. God bless.

  • As someone who was into Yoga in my late teens and twenties, here’s my two cents. Yoga stretches will develop a certain frame of mind, oneness. It’s a frame of mind that is Antithetical to the Christian one as taught by the Church. Personally speaking, although experiencing oneness seems fine at first, you come to the frame of mind that you are the universe in a way. This becomes eventually a somewhat selfish and inward focus and addictive. I practiced purely the poses without chants etc, but I would classify it as a belief system. That’s why I gave it up a long time ago.. By all means find a type of exercise or practice that relaxes or trains the body, just be careful. ..

  • I think it depends a lot on the person. I started yoga just as an exercise and ended up believing a lot of things that I later found out were completely opposite to my Christian faith. But I’m the type of person who gets invested, who reads a lot, who likes to really know the things I’m into. I also used to have a lot of free time to do the research and learn. I had to completely cut it off once I realised the beliefs were not compatible. However, I see some people are happy with just the surface of things and really just do it as an exercise. I wouldn’t really call it yoga, but that’s what makes it OK. I think. It’s still a bit like playing with fire, though, but it’s something you can’t really see until you’re already there.

  • The physical exercises we recognize as Hatha Yoga date back 1500 years prior to Hinduism. They stem from the cultural heritage of the Indus Valley. Initially, the Asanas were not linked to Hindu deities. Should you believe practicing Yoga could result in possession by a Hindu god or demon, abstain from it. I, however, do not perceive this as a cause for apprehension. However, it should be noted that many Hindus currently disapprove of its practice in a secular context or within the framework of other religions. I’d be more concerned about cultural appropriation than something like demon possession.

  • Yoga never helps christians to unite with their creator jesus christ… Because jesus never said in the bible ” Do yoga and unite with me ” But in John 6 : 56 Jesus said “Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them” That means the only way to unite with christ is by eat and drink his body and blood… Yoga never helps a person to unite with jesus christ…✝️

  • Dear Father, each yoga pose worships a specific eastern deity. The exercises were NOT meant for exercise but for worship. Every pose is intended to worship a specific god. We cannot condone this practise. It is anti-GOD and all new age philosophy. Please do not participate in these ‘exercises’ as they yoke you to the gods of the underworld. Yoga means to YOKE oneself. To who? To thee gods you are posing for….You are opening doors to the occult. Be warned!!!!

  • No matter wheather you do it or not there is one thing which is certain. That is your death, that will happen any time. Hence stop bothering about your mortal body and be rather concerned about your soul which belongs to jesus. Neverever attempt anything which goes against the spirit of god Thank you Jesus

  • Thank you Fr. Nick. I struggle with scruples and had stumbled across people on the internet claiming yoga was evil, but I was confused because it is an exercise routine that really works for me–in fact, I began using it for exercise when I felt God calling me to better take care of my body because I just wasn’t bringing myself to exercise much at all prior! I don’t buy into any spirituality behind it–with the “exception” being when I’m begging Jesus to help me hold a stretch 😉 So I thank you for this balanced view point you provided 🙏 I will continue to use it simply as a form of exercise, inviting God in for strength as I do in all aspects in my life, and not going into any philosophy behind it!

  • “Let no one, then, pass judgment on you in matters of food and drink or with regard to a festival or new moon or sabbath.” (col 2:16-17) I view the practice of Yoga somewhat the same way I would view a Ouija Board. The original intention of each does have an anti-christian element to it. Don’t be fooled into thinking it is absolutely harmless; but depending upon the health of your christian faith it can be a slippery slope for some; or simply a method of exercise and stretching. The fallen Angels only have as much reach into our material world as God will permit; and no more. That is why millions can play with Ouija Boards (especially since Hasbro has apparently marketed a kid-friendly version); but for only a handful of unlucky souls it can become the incident which leads to untold problems with the diabolic. Unlike a Ouija Board though (whose intention is markedly clear; and why I would never touch it with a ten-foot pole even just for fun); Yoga without the spiritual intent (like Karate, Jujitsu, etc) offers a method to stretch and exercise the body which can be a good thing. People can kneel down to an idol; or kneel down to pray to the One True God; or kneel down to tie their shoe. Each of these actions differ greatly in their intent; so if you are going to do Yoga I would advise that you clearly understand your intention; and as others suggested, avoid the postures which seem more ‘prayer’ related than exercise related.

  • I’m sorry but I do not in any way believe that Yoga is evil or anti-Catholic (and I am someone who is Catholic and prays the Rosary nearly every day). Yoga helped me to gain strength during a very rough time in my life. It helped to calm my mind and monkey mind down. It only showed me that God was ever present in my life. Doing yoga never changed my beliefs in God, Jesus, or the Holy Spirit. In fact is strengthened my faith. I don’t know where the church got the idea that Yoga was evil. I think this notion needs to be challenged more. It seems that someone in the Church felt threatened by Yoga and it was not God, Jesus, or Holy Spirit that felt threatened. God made us in his likeness. Our bodies were meant to move and feel strong. God would never say don’t keep your body or your mind strong and that’s what I feel you are saying here.

  • I’m confused… I’ve been told in the past by Catholics, that doing yoga is not acceptable for Catholics Christians. Because yoga is a Hindu/spiritual practice. I’ve been told that attending yoga classes may cause scandal. Because others might see a Catholic or Christian practicing yoga and may think then, that the religious form of yoga is acceptable when it is not. I’ve been told that the postures themselves are oriented towards the worship of their Hindu god and goddesses by people who understand the Hindu/spiritual religious practices of yoga. But that it’s okay for Catholics to stretch and do similar poses outside of any kind of yoga class because they don’t “own” the stretches… We just Cannot attend yoga class or go to a fitness studio that’s says yoga. Because it may cause scandal. Is that correct? Please if you could kindly clarify this for me. Thank you Father and God bless. ✝️😀

  • I say this is completely wrong. You can’t compromise with the world when it comes to the truth in Christ Jesus. It’s either you are all in or out. I beg you priest to please to stop leading Catholics astray. If you value your relationship with Christ. Avoid yoga period! There are other exercises out there. Why would you choose yoga if it puts you in danger to pagan practice? It’s that simple. Stop bending the rules!!

  • If you want to get the truth the true answers to your questions and learn the true faith that was taught for more than 2,000 years and it’s still talk today you need to check out the the fssp and the sspx in The Institute of Christ the King in The Institute of Christ the Good Shepherd and there’s even more suggestion you should study the history of Holy Catholic Church

  • 1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus 2 Corinthians 11:1-4 I hope you will put up with me in a little foolishness. Yes, please put up with me! I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy. I promised you to one husband, to Christ, so that I might present you as a pure virgin to him. But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough. Matthew 23:9 And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and he is in heaven. Luke 11:27-28 As Jesus was saying these things, a woman in the crowd called out, “Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you.” He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.” Leviticus 26:1 Do not make idols or set up an image or a sacred stone for yourselves, and do not place a carved stone in your land to bow down before it. I am the Lord your God. Revelation 17:4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication. Ephesians 1:22-23 And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

  • This Father is not really giving a Catholic answer. I’m not sure why he is not telling the full truth. The true goal of yoga is to do the poses of the Hindu deities. Which are Demons. It also creates union with these deities. Which is the meaning of the word Yoga which is Union. I would not recommend yoga for any Catholic. Just stretch. This is a nervous and terrible response.

  • Glad to see a priest answering this way. Both my Catholic parents and Catholic aunt and uncle are convinced that it is evil even if you don’t do the yoga poses for worship. My mother recently hosted a Catholic conference with one of their subjects being that no one should supposedly ever do these moves, like, ever.

  • Yoga means union. It’s not against true Christianity. It’s not against anything. Jesus was an accomplished yogi. He studied under Indian spiritual masters during his travels which are part of the 18 years of his life unaccounted for in scripture. There are records of Jesus in Tibet and India. He was called Isha by them.

  • Unfortunately the priest is going against Church teaching, pray for him. Yoga stretches and positions are specific to salutes and positions of worship to pagan gods. So even if you are not doing the meditative aspects of yoga, you are making an obscene and idolatrous gesture with your body by doing yoga. The Church teaches you cannot engage in physical acts that are purposely designed to worship a pagan god even if your intention is not to worship the idolatrous god. For example, the early Christians were forbidden to offer incense to the Roman gods, even if their intention was not to worship the Roman gods and just save themselves from being executed. The intention was irrelevant because it caused the sin of scandal to others that they were worshipping a pagan god by offering insence to it. This is why yoga is a mortal sin, you cannot do the yoga position of “salute the Sun” because even if your intention is not to salute the Sun, you are doing so with your body which is both idolatry and scandal.

  • God bless you Father Nick. I will keep you in my prayers. It’s better to say “I am not the right person to talk about this” than to say anything at all. You are quite young and you have no idea what you are doing by telling people it’s ok to do Yoga. The Church has written an extensive document about it. You should read it. God bless you.

  • Respected Father Nick–Please Educate your self a BIT about YOGA,because in a Position to Advice your followers –YOGA forms a PAIR with SAANKYA in SHAT DHARSANAS =SIX VISIONS of HINDU RELIGIOUS META PHYSICS –SHAT =6 is divided into 3 Pairs NYAAYAM + VAISESHIKAM —– SAANKYAM +YOGAM MEEMAAMSAM + VEDHAANTHAM ACCORDING TO SAANKYA DUALISM –PURUSHA (WHAT CHRISTIANS CALL ‘”SOUL” OR SPIRIT) –IS ETERNAL –NEVER IS BORN –NEVER DIES (Bhagavat Gita-2-20) wHEN THE PSYCHO-SOMATIC BODY (PRAKRUTHI) DIESTHE “SOUL” ENTERS A NEW BODY AS WE CHANGE TO A NEW CLOTHE -WHEN THE OLD CLOTHE IS TORN “( Bhagavat Gita-2-22) => RE-INCARNATION WHICH IS TOTALLY OPPOSED TO RAPTURE AND RESURRECTION OF CHRISTIANITY SO SAANKYA IS NOT COMPATIBLE TO CHRISTIANITY

  • next time you are tempted to do yoga kindly ask yourself this 6 questions: 1. Do I know who the Virgin Mary is? 2. Do I know what she is stepping on? 3. Do I know what Yoga is? 4. Do I know what is the name of the energy that Yoga wants to awaken? 5. Do I know what animal is associated with this energy? 6. Am I unknowingly tapping and releasing something that the virgin Mary is trying to keep away from us? Much Love❤️

  • Thank you Father Nick, This ? Came up on Catholic Strong group on internet. I knew my Mom did yoga taught by retired Nuns, before she was then too week. My Mom was a strong Catholic . And passed away in 2017. And a lady that asked kept getting answers from many that the poses are to Hindu Gods. I find the stretches I you can, and poses with Christ in mind for our health. No chanting or odd things that some may do. I agree with you, Christ centered, for heath and well being is common sense . Thanks 🙏🙏🙏God bless during these difficult times. Love in Christ and Mary Mother of God. Debra Naumczik

  • It is refreshing to hear from someone who is not a hysterical ninny who sees evil everywhere. Mankind commits some horrific atrocities and it is not because of Hinduism or demons invading the body. In the United States alone there are more than 30 million yoga practitioners now. I have seen no indication that these health-minded people are in league with evil spirits or some other entities that concern people terrified of what yoga is doing to our world.

  • here is the truth. yoga poses arose from martial arts, warrior one is parry, warrior two is a block and three is a thrust. It grew into helping yourself find strength and clarity in order to better serve others to find the same piece. Now it is mostly exercise and vegan based lifestyle. Meaning helping others and not being part of animal slaughter. Now look at the catholic damage to the world history, pretty mush ruined most cultures and was the forethrust of colonization. How can the church decry yoga, that is such foolishness its beyond comprehension. Also the canadian goverment just announced a 40 billion dollar settlement to indigenous tribes because of catholic schools treatment (murder) of small children who died scared abused and alone. But yoga is bad? are you high>?

  • With respect father………… this is a load of bull lol…. I’m a roman catholic and enjoy yoga. Yoga is exercise and strengthening the body’s muscles and core. I was encouraged to do it after several spinal surgeries. I don’t worship any weirdness when doing it. The church doesn’t have any moral authotity over exercise lol

  • Thunder and lightning will descend upon the Temple of the Lord Saturday Jan 03, 2015 at 08:20 pm My dearly beloved daughter, when God gave the world the Truth, through the prophets, it was an Act of Mercy on His part. So many had forgotten about God, adored false gods – which come from the hierarchy of Satan – that they began to believe in their own invincibility. Were it not for God’s Intervention many people would have suffered a terrible punishment. What God told the prophets, since the beginning, happened. The warnings He gave to humanity resulted in those, who heeded them, being saved while those who ignored them were cast away. All that has been foretold will come to pass, and those who oppose God in His attempts to bring peace and salvation to His children will have to account for their defiance. Because the Truth has been twisted and the Word of God ignored, people will continue to turn their backs on the Holy Word of God. Their descent into darkness will result in a punishment by God, the Most High. It pains My Eternal Father to see the depths to which man has fallen in the pursuit of anything that brings him pleasure. But, the day when the Holy Sacrifice ends, and the hour that the imposters desecrate My Altar, will be the final thorn by which they will pierce My Side. At the appointed time, thunder and lightning will descend upon the Temple of the Lord and it will come crashing down. Woe to the man who participates in this sacrilege for he will be cut off from every reprieve and he will fall into the abyss like a stone.

  • How dismaying that an educated priest admits knowing nothing about yoga (and apparently, is dismissively incurious)… and yet, having done zero research to determine if it’s spiritual tenets are actually in accordance (or not) with Christianity, feels ‘ordained’ to offer advice… based on what?…. assumptions?… or, a fear that understanding yoga might lead to (God forbid) an appreciation of some aspect of Hinduism? To discourage intellectual curiosity about other cultures, religions, and practices disparages the layman’s spiritual character. The implied message is that we’re not to be trusted… that the temptation of some imagined Hindi nefariousness in a neighborhood yoga class will suck us sheep in – really?… how insulting. Is it such a threat to understand (and yes, perhaps even appreciate) aspects of other religions?… Turning a blind eye rather than opening a book may be ‘easier’, but it’s not a pathway to peaceful coexistence on a shrinking planet… Father, the metaphoric irony inherent in your inability to ‘stretch’ is tragically poetic.

  • What you call Yoga in West is just some stretching exercise…..A marketing stratergy for Gyms. So you mean to say that stretching exercise is against Christianity….Then either you or your Bible is stupid. Decide that first. True yoga is much more than that…. You will be very very lucky if you learn correct Yoga….and experience its true benefits. Every human is capable of such experience…….. And there is no mention in Bible that Yoga is good or bad………..

  • Why do you need yoga when you have Jesus? If Yoga guarantees a healthy life why is India the diabetes capital of the world. Why do Indians develop hypertension and high cholesterol levels in their early thirties? Are those who practice yoga healthier than those who don’t. The answer is no. Any kind of exercise whether at home or the gym or at a park like the Falun gong or certain types of yoga, basically improves your blood circulation which strengthens your muscles and you feel stronger overall but Yoga is a form of worship like surya namaskar which worships the sun. Many of the physical exercises were added later to make them attractive to modern lifestyles. So yoga or regular exercise has the same benefit but certain types of yoga venture into the dark forces. BTW I’m Indian and catholic believe me all the yoga enthusiasts I know depend on Western medicine to treat their chronic conditions. If you have to do yoga just treat it as an exercise don’t follow the chanting or bowing to the deity stance at the beginning of the asanas.

  • How Christian of you to not accept another form of practice.!!?Whether it is to improve your mind, body or soul…who cares. Can’t we all just accept, open your minds to other new things all at the same time? Love and acceptance. Isn’t that the common thread…Let’s not get too caught up in anything else here. It is a practice, a way of life, not harming anyone..and that is a good thing

  • That your book is a book of contradictions would have been enough but you all lack common sense. 1- God Doesn’t Change His Nature (Malachi 3:6) 2- GOD Almighty is Greater than Jesus. (John 14:28 ) 3- No one is “Good” including Jesus. Only GOD is” Good” (Luke 18:19) 4- Jesus said he doesn’t know when the Hour will come. Only GOD Knows. (Mark 13:32) 5- Jesus said that” OUR God is One GOD ” (Mark 12:29 ) 6- Jesus also said “My GOD and your GOD” (John 20:17) 7- Jesus bowed his face down to the ground to GOD Almighty. (Matthew 26:39) 8- Jesus was tempted by satan for 40 days(Mat1:4), while GOD Almighty can not be tempted (Jacob 1:13) 9- Jesus said he is a man (John 8:40) 10- God is neither a man nor a son of a man (Numbers 23:19) 11- No one can see god (1 John 4:20) but people saw Jesus 12- God is the living and everlasting (Habakkuk 1:12) 13- Jesus always confessed he is just a prophet sent by god (Matthew 21:10-11) 14- God Declare Himself to be God, Jesus didn’t (Ezekiel 20:20) 15- Jesus told his real mission was to preach not sacrifice (Mark 1:38) 16- Jesus desired Mercy not Sacrifice (Matthew 9:13) Jesus refered himseld as 17- Servant: Matthew 10:24, 24:45, 12:18 John 13:16 18- Prophet: Matthew 8:20 13:16,21:11, Mark 6:15, 6;4, 9;37, Luke 7:16, 9:8, 9:19, John 13:17, 7:16, 6:14, 7:40 19- Son of Man: Matthew 5:9, 17:22, 8:20, 18:11, 26:2, Luke 9:22, John 5:27 20- Slave: John 13:16, Matthew 10:24 21- Student: Matthew 10:24 22- Father is Grater than Jesus (John 14:28) How can someone can be greater than God?
