Rite Aid has announced that all of its nearly 4,600 stores in the US will start accepting mobile payments as of August 15, including Apple. The pharmacy chain has joined the Kubra retail cash network, allowing customers to pay bills at the brand’s 2,257 locations across 17 states. Customers can receive reminders by email, text, or phone when their prescriptions are due for a refill or are ready to be picked up.

Rite Aid offers up to $40 cash back when paying for purchases with a debit card, and some locations also allow cash back when paying with Apple Pay or Google Pay. There are no fees for these transactions. Customers can also pay their Rite Aid bill directly on the website or on doxo with credit card, debit card, Apple Pay, or bank account.

In addition to mobile payments, Rite Aid has also acquired Things Remembered® and acquired 1-800-FLOWERS.COM. Installments with Afterpay allows customers to make purchases now and pay for them over time. To learn more, visit www.afterpay.com.

If your store has closed or is now a Walgreens pharmacy, please contact Customer Care at 1-800-Riteaid. At Rite Aid, they do accept $100 bills and can call the manager to break the bill for your sale if necessary. Rite Aid made the decision to begin accepting mobile payments because it is in the best interest of their customers to have a variety of payment options available.
