another fishing tip: try to keep the fish near the top of your green bar, because some fish drop much faster than your bar can when you release the mouse, so keeping it at the top of the bar will allow you more time to drop with it. Holding down the button can make it rise at about the same speed of the fish regardless of how fast it is, so you don’t need to worry about that aspect.
I don’t think it has come to the point yet but I think this game will be viewed as legendary sometime in the future. The art, the music, and the charm that this game has. Compare it to other games from the 1990’s. They were made by teams of people and still don’t even come close in terms of how much love was poured into this game.

the legend fish is available all seasons round, not just spring edit: i actually revise my statement. the game files and ca are wrong, which is incredibly hard to believe. this fish just isn’t catchable other than spring. there are few reported exceptions but i believe them to be glitches, just like the famous catching 2 legendary fishes. so don’t be a fool like me trying to spend all three seasons trying to catch the legend with rain totems. got it on the first day of spring
Honestly, the Legendary fish were all easy for me except for the Glacier Fish and the Legend fish. Honestly, of these two, the Glacier Fish was significantly harder for me to reel in. It took me dozens of failed attempts. However, the Legend fish took me longer overall because his bite rate was so low. The Glacier Fish was far harder to beat in the fishing mini game, but he took less time because every time you cast to his spot, he bites and you’re prepared. The Legend fish surprised me with his unpredictability with his bite, but he felt a lot easier with his fishing mini game. If the Legend Fish bit with every cast, I probably could have caught him after a half dozen tries. Was Glacier Fish harder for anyone else, or am I just nuts?

When catching the GlacierFish, just so you know, you can have an attempt to catch this fish after 10pm. My fishing lvl is only 7, and I had multiple times after 10pm there was this legendary fish spammed the fishing pole. I’m just mentioning this so everyone else has a chance to catch it too! No gloating intended. I’m having a really hard time catching it though, not sure how you did… ffs.
While it was raining I was fishing for a fish and I didn’t know I was in the wrong area caus I was dumb I caught a really hard fish and I saw something on it’s head I thought maybe it’s special I had a small bar for fishing and I caught a legendary fish the angler I was so happy I didn’t sell it I waited for my sis to come home and see it she never caught a legendary (I bet no one will read this cause how long it is)
thanks for the upload. Hey has anyone solved the mystery of that strange wailing noise that comes around nighttime whenever its raining, i guess it could be one of these fish making the noise though. I’m thoroughly convinced that its a separate mystery (there’s even a forum I saw online where, supposedly, the creator says there’s still a mystery nobody has managed to solve and I’m willing to bet it has to do with the wailing noise). I’m not at top friendship with Willy but maybe he has some hints because it always sounds louder when i get near the ocean, in the rain at night.
yeah i only caught the sewer one and the angler one…… i rage quit after only 2-3 tries at the other legendary ones xD also! these “water” and “lava” bodies in the mines…… whenever i fish there i only get garbage or that darned ghostfish!! none of them lava eel or ice pip or stonefish! why is that??

3:11 “But it is hard to find” Bruh, I was fishing for a super cucumber and I kept running into this. I had to keep closing Stardew Valley because it kept getting away from me and I know you can only get one of them per save file. Eventually, I got so mad I bought trout soup, an iridium rod, a bunch of trap bobber’s and I caught it. Well, at least I have it.
Cool tip if anyone is having trouble catching The Legend fish (or any others for that matter!) If you use the Bait Linus shows you, a Trapper Tackle and use either Dish O’ The Sea, Lobster Bisque or Fish Stew (giving you 13 fishing lvl) you can catch them all pretty easy. I got the Legend very quickly with this set up ^^
