Can Spells Be Used With The Scourge?

In Path of Exile: Scourge, players must fill the Blood Crucible with the blood of their enemies and shift into an alternate Wraeclast where an apocalyptic event rages. The Scourge Arrow is a channelling bow attack skill that charges up an arrow that creates spore pods as the arrow travels when released. This skill does not apply to multiple types, and does not apply twice to converted or added damage from passives or items such as Ming’s Heart.

Poison and ignite are classified as damage over time and not as an attack or spell. Minions deal 70 increased damage if you hit recently. Two of the Scourge passives give players a chance to get higher tier upsides more often and lower tier downsides more often. Scouring hundreds of items will be difficult, but players will be scouring hundreds of items.

The Scourge Arrow interacts with Ranged Attack Totems, like a spell totem using flameblast. It cannot be triggered or used by Totems, Traps, or other items. Spells and a handful of attacks deal damage based on the level of the corresponding skill gem. While linked, their hits can trigger your supported spells. If the target dies while linked, you will also die.

In addition to the Scourge Arrow, the game introduces new gems, unique items, and divination cards. Spell suppression is introduced, which reduces the damage of incoming spells but does not interact with incoming ones. By default, cards referring to other game objects use “spell” or “insert type spell” when referring to spells on the stack.

How is Scourge so strong?

Scourge, a Dark God-serving Transformer, has a dark energy that makes him almost invulnerable. He can infect victims and corrupt them into his will, and when unable to reach them, he can deploy Freezer and Novakane, fearsome Sweeps, to sniff out prey. Scourge’s servitude to the dark god has made him a formidable adversary, with various Transformers and toys like Studio Series, Buzzworthy Bumblebee, Rise of the Beasts, Pop!, Yolopark, and Blokees.

What can Scourge do?

Scourges are powerful creatures with learned Punishment skills, which involve corrupting enemy boons into conditions and eroding their will. They can also wield torches as offhand weapons, lighting the path for their enemies’ souls into the afterlife and burning away their bodies. Scourges combine damage dealing and support, corrupting boons from enemies, cleansing conditions from allies, shielding them with barriers, and drowning them in the desert sands.

They lose access to Death Shroud in exchange for summoning sand shades and using Shade skills at all times. Shade skills are fueled by a static cost of life force, and all skills have a half-second delay before activating. They channel their life force into the desert sands to summon biddable shades, use punishment skills to torment enemies, and wield torches to light the path to their destruction.

Does orders wrath work with blessed strikes?

The text posits that Blessed Strikes is not compatible with Order’s Wrath, as it necessitates the Divine Strike, which has been supplanted.

What is unlucky in Poe?

Lucky and Unlucky mechanics roll numbers twice, with Lucky rolling the best result and Unlucky rolling the worst. Modifiers affecting damage ranges only, not accuracy or critical strike chance. Lucky and Unlucky modifiers cancel each other out. Effectiveness is linear with percentage rolls, such as critical strike chance, with Lucky/Unlucky rollings increasing by 100 more/less. Damage rolls have an average damage of 33 more or less when the minimum damage is near zero, but weaker when it’s closer to the maximum.

Which is better, evasion or armour poe?

Evasion is a powerful defensive stat that is equally effective against many small hits as against fewer large hits. It reduces the chance of being critically hit and can be improved by using Granite Flasks. Armor is effective against many small hits but ineffective against fewer large hits. Evasion uses an entropy counter, ensuring that every subsequent strike follows a predictable pattern based on the player’s evasion rating and the monster’s accuracy rating.

Evasion is preferred over Armor due to its ability to achieve high percentages of avoidance. However, it lacks a dedicated flask like Armor Does (Granite Flasks), but flasks with a mod can increase the Evasion rating for their active duration. Many people choose IR to combine Armor and Evasion for socket color weightings, but there is no equivalent option for Evasion. Acrobatics removes armor and energy shield, making it more challenging for an Evasion stacker to achieve Red/Green color combos.

Do spells count as hits?

In the context of damage, a “hit” refers to a discrete amount of damage applied to a target. While damage can be mitigated to zero, it cannot be negative. Damage is derived from three primary sources: attacks, spells, and secondary sources. Hit packages comprise a set of mechanics and effects, including additional effects with a quality rating of 1-20, which augment damage inflicted upon enemies with full life points and provide supplementary effects in the context of poison.

Does curse on hit work with spells?

It should be noted that the totems displayed on the skill bar are capable of casting curses and arcs. However, it is important to understand that the curse applied upon contact does not extend to spells that are cast by totems. Conversely, should one receive an item that applies the curse on hit, the totems will apply it. It is possible for Asenath’s gloves or corrupted implicits to add the curse on hit.

Does divine smite work with spells?

The Class power of Divine Smite is not a spell; rather, it is a bonus damage that is applied to a strike that has already hit a creature with a melee weapon attack. Furthermore, this damage cannot be counterspelled.

How does the scourge work in PoE?

The Blood Crucible is a powerful tool for transforming items. It absorbs corruption from the alternate Wraeclast and focuses it onto the item. After enough kills, the item can be transformed, granting it a pair of Scourged Modifiers. If you’re not satisfied with the result, you can transform it again by killing more monsters in the alternate Wraeclast. The Blood Crucible gains experience and can level up. Its passive skill screen allows it to specialize in unlocking additional item slots, faster transformation, better transformation outcomes, and the ability to transform unique items.

Does on hit apply to spells PoE?

The text posits that experienced players and elites engage in item trading within the confines of the town, whereas novice players, lacking the requisite knowledge to navigate the intricacies of PoE, resort to monster slaying as a means of acquiring items. A 17-chance blind on hit craft with winter orb was tested, and no subjects observed the winter orb proc blind. Additionally, the text references a confrontation with Kitava, yet no corroborating evidence was provided.

Does evasion apply to spells PoE?

Does evasion apply to spells PoE?

Evading an attack prevents damage and other harmful effects, including status ailments and stun. Only melee and ranged attacks can be evaded, and spells are automatically hit. The chance to evade is based on the defender’s evasion rating compared to the attacker’s accuracy. The chance to evade is limited to 0 to 95. Two modifiers bypass evasion: Cannot Evade enemy Attacks (e. g., Unwavering Stance keystone or Ezomyte Peak Quality), and attacks using Hits cannot be evaded.

  • Fortunately they nerfed (fixed) it so that a character cannot do more than 30 attacks or spells per second. To be honest I approve this fix since it caused so much problems in the groups where people are spamming their shit and you just waste your 1ex map because you get disconnected because of that spam on the screen.

  • LMAO the Rambo that was amazing. Memes aside, kinda, and I know you just finished with the build but, Stormburst had 58 stacks 0.0 that seems ridiculous for a Poison set up – Decay gets scaled the best by that skill also from my knowledge. Just some ideas to get more flowing for your next build 🙂 Loved it btw, always wanted to see this belt become viable since it came out. It would be disgusting if you had a support to ramp your damage

  • Hey Woolfio, what number does Seismic trap display at that point? Triggers a wave every 0.X seconds? When I tried to figure out the breakpoints, I couldn’t get to more than 0.2 triggers at around 257% Cast Speed + Trap Throwing Speed. Considering 0.3 was at exactly 157 TTS, how much is needed for 0.1 triggers? What number shows in the tooltip at 1000% cast speed? Thanks in advance

  • You missed one great thing to do, you need the celestial ice nova mtx, spell echo or cast just 2 frost bolts then have the ice nova with spell echo and faster casting in a pledge of hands and cast ont he frost bolt. Since the on frost bolt cast handles repeats itself without you needing to do the animation for repeats you end up putting a metric ton of ice novas on the frost bolts and with the celestial mtx it kinda breaks a bit in some situations

  • I appreciate the discussion of defensive layers on that side of the tree but there are some builds that straight-up suffer. For example, IIRC, traps don’t count as “you” doing the damage so life leech, life on hit, life on kill, and similar effects don’t really work. Getting a good combination of Life & ES + Recovery + Max Res + Spell Suppression + Phys mitigation + DoT mitigation + Evasion + Ailment handling + Damage all on a budget is really a tough thing to balance properly esp. with the wild swings in damage that occur as more of a “game design” choice than anything else. I think discussions on how to balance all the competing interests would be a better use of time. IMHO 🙂

  • You know what? I’ve never understood how energy shield works. How can people sustain it when recovery is blocked when you take damage? Like shouldn’t it just drain when you’re taking damage even if you’re leaching or recovering on block. Unless you avoid damage for 2 seconds (or less with passives), it should just be going down?

  • I’d love to hear about your opinion on Glancing Blows on caster builds (due to the lack of fortify). Maybe a pros vs cons on glancing blows for both staff and shield casters. To me it feels like it hurts more than it helps unless you have a good way of recovery on block and you wanna cap your block as efficiently as possible.

  • I really like being overcapped compared to spell supression. The only thing im dying to is 100+ krangle count chaos golem packs in high tier maps. Just cant afford to get chaos res up yet but 7800 hp is enough buffer to slam pots and dash away. Confused on block and stun recovery which catches me getting locked up even with unwavering stance, just gonna drop my shield for more damage soon anyways. EK hits a little soft on the T13+ maps atm but clears like a beast in most maps.

  • Also worth noting that the Instinct notable gives 50 flat ES gain when you suppress spell dmg, it might not be much against big hits, but it can help a fair bit in mapping if you use spell suppression and happen to be pathing near it anyway. Also if relying on conditional spell suppression chance then you really should aim to slightly overcap it, having 90% chance + two sets of 10% conditional is a lot better than having 90% + just a single 10% conditional, even if 100% guaranteed is better than both.

  • Hi sir… First of all, I really like your tips, but there’s something difficult to understand everything. In your article, you explain a lot of things, but some words can’t be compreensive because there’s not image of for example, a skill gem, or keystone passive, or items etc… That’s very difficult to get it, specially for new players who doesn’t know some item for their name (btw… it’s tough to hear some strange name of an item) Or even for only players who doesn’t get new mechanics such as spell supression and similars.
