I would like these YouTube doctors to do a deep dive into aspartame. I’m no doctor, but I do have a science background. I did my own research on aspartame. It’s 200 times sweeter that sugar so only minute quantities are needed in soft drinks. It is true that it is metabolized into methanol then to formaldehyde. These are natural chemicals in our bodies and also produced by eating some fruits and vegetables. These chemicals are metabolized into carbon dioxide and water. Yes, it is labeled as a possible carcinogen. Not because of any evidence but because of lack of evidence. I enjoyed a Diet Pepsi last night. I typically don’t drink a full bottle. I believe in moderation it should be ok. I’m on a very low carb diet and doing great. I use Allulose for my coffee. It’s expensive. Maybe I use aspartame for that as well. Please, somebody tell me where I’m wrong other than “it’s not natural”. Glucose is natural but too much is a bad thing. I remember from my toxicology class that “the dose makes the poison”.
