Luciferian Witchcraft is a spin-off of the Wicca movement, with a satanic twist. The church I just started attending thinks that it is ok on halloween night for everyone to meet at church and to let the kids dress up as people in the Bible”. I used every excuse I know not be part of this party but at the end I had no choice…on the day of the party, the drummer gets sick and the gig was canceled….😊 God moves in mysterious ways. I love this so much. I’m 28 years old and have never celebrated Halloween and I plan on keeping it that way. I get so many comments from people on why I don’t take part in Halloween and this is why. By the age of 10 my mom stopped me from going out and celebrating Halloween. I didn’t get it at the time. All my friends were going out and here I am at home doing nothing. Now that I’ve gotten older and God has gifted me a closer relationship with him I understand that what she did was the right decision. I’m grateful now! I’ve been celebrating Halloween my whole life I got saved n gave my life to God in 2011 the church I got saved at celebrates Halloween and they have a carnival and costumes so I thought as a new believer that it was normal. I got called out of that church in 2018 and went to a smaller church where it was more personal because my prior church was a mega church and that when that pastor told me the truth about Halloween I was in shock like wait what!!? So we didn’t celebrate Halloween last year we r not this year or ever again! The enemy had me like a puppet majority of my life I’m living the remainder of my life serving God with my family.

Days before we were set attend our annual neighborhood Halloween party, I was attacked by demons while I slept. I could feel the hatred they had for me and they wished only for me to be in torment. God woke me up and I immediately began to pray the Lord’s Prayer over and over. I could feel them leave my body in waves of shivers. Even though I knew what was happening I had no fear because I knew my God is greater and He would protect me! I instantly knew I could not attend the party or dress up to celebrate the day. I wish more of my friends would wake up to the truth! God is preforming many miracles and blessings in my life right now and I will not do anything to block this….and I am not perfect but I choose to be more Holy so I can be closer to Him! I share my story with others so they can take comfort that our God will never abandon us and loves us so much.

In my walk with the Lord I just want to be in His precense every day of my life. It is my pleasure to be obedient to Him. God has transformed my mind and soul in such a way that it is impossible that I willingly become a part-taker of a celebration that encourages darkness and fear. I mean think about it… The scarier the custome the cooler it is… Out of all the things I could be doing at night… honestly the last thing I want to do is dress up my kids, send them out to look for candy and hope for the best. I agree Jesus was not born on December 25th, but, any reason to put The Alpha and Omega Jesus Christ in the lime light is a good thing. My bible says “all good things come from above”. We exchange gifts symbolizing the gift of salvation which Jesus gave to all. For those reasons I’ll celebrate Christmas till Jesus comes again.
I grew up my whole life in the church we never ever celebrated halloween ever, I remember being a young girl like 9 years old and we would go over a family friends house who were not christian and in the basement the kids would be playing the ouji board game, and I instantly felt fear so much that i started to cry and resent the darkness of this game so much. The kids would make fun of me, but i didn’t care. I just would go upstairs to be with the adults. I always knew it was a dark game, now that he mentions it is just confirmation of god, im grateful god has protected me throughout the years and still is protecting me.
If you have an issue with celebrating Halloween as a Christian, you have no business celebrating Christmas or Easter. Both Christmas and Easter are clearly historical Pagan holidays that were co-opted by the Catholic church. This is proven, well documented, and a fact that the Catholic church admits to. If you don’t celebrate one but choose to celebrate the others, you are a hypocrite. And if you make the argument that they are now Christian holidays, you have zero arguments against the statement that Halloween is now an American holiday. I threw out everything of Halloween I had. Even broke items so no one could pick them out of the trash to use once I learned what really occurs. Didn’t even put candy out, though after Halloween the idea of prayer cards came to mind (a bit too late, lol). The snake’ been deceptive for centuries, and people just follow the pack. I have NEVER understood how a true Christian could ever acknowledge Halloween let alone celebrate it. It demonstrates that their faith is in name only and not real. Or alternatively that they have not been taught well or not read their Bible to find the truth. Building a close relationship with Jesus means he tells us these things. It means when we watch something that tarnishes us he whispers in our ear to switch it off. He whispers in our ear “don’t go that way, go this way and I’ll keep you safe” he positively shouts when we see items glorifying the enemy – Halloween merchandise.
I’ve never dressed up for Halloween and had always wanted to growing up. I can remember going to fall festivals at churchs getting candy and even seeing some of the church kids dressed up in costumes. As I got older I started to look and see all that is connected to Halloween and I even stopp perusal scary movies. I can remember having decorations with fake spiders, fake spider webs and black skulls with red eyes at a place of past employeement And even being one time in my life being asked if I wanted to wear a witch hat as a costume. Overall time as I got older I started to lose the taste for Halloween.
All of us who say Jesus is our Lord and Savior and partake of ANY holloween activity, no matter how innocent it may seem; need to REPENT and never do it again. I’ve talked to pastors about this and they just brush it off. When we stand before the Lord on that Great Day, we will have to give an account. Who cares about this stupid day, and dressing up. Do we celebrate any Jewish or Muslim holiday? then why do we celebrate the high holy day of the satanists?? think about it. forgive us God for our blindness and stupidity. As a Spirit Filled Christian, I absolutely do not partake in this abominable practice! I won’t even buy Halloween candy. Nor do I even celebrate Christmas! A vile time of year. I lost my mother around halloween time in 2020 from a stroke after the rediculous lockdowns limiting walking and exercise. I hate seeing juvenile adults parading around in slasher movie outfits covered in blood and zombies. It’s disgusting. As a child I knew this was a satanic ritual and an ungodly event. There is an elderly care home i cycle past on way to work that was a strewn with skulls and horror images even with a sign reading enter at your own risk! An old peoples home! What is wrong with society!? It all went down hill in the mid 1950’s.
If non-Christians can celebrate Christmas because for them, it’s just about family and love or whatever, I don’t see why my fellow Christians and I can’t enjoy some fall colors, pumpkin-flavored refreshments, and spooky movies simply for the atmosphere. Its former intentions/connotations don’t dictate the meaning I derive from it or the investment I put into it. It’s a time to enjoy some fiction (as well as some fellowship with family and friends), and that’s all.
My old pastor never celebrated Halloween with his family because he basically said the overall idea of Halloween is a celebration of the dead and as Christians we celebrate life. There are plenty of things with Halloween that are fun and innocent but overall Halloween is in a nutshell a celebration of the dead which is completely opposite of the Christian faith. The Lord just preached a sermon to me about this. He said,” how ironic is it that everyone is so terrified of covid, yet they are all getting ready to celebrate the entities behind it, by celebrating Halloween.” We are to separate ourselves from these things, not embrace them. 3 of the Lord’s feasts are coming up, at the same time, and we need to celebrate those. I believe that even Christmas, Easter, and Halloween should not be celebrated at all, and if Christians who love God and are saved by Yeshua would learn why by asking the Holy Spirit to guide them in seeking these truths out they would find out what I and many other Christian’s know. I will just share one thing about Christmas but ask God our Father to lead you. (1.)Such idolatrous practices were worthless (heḇel, “breath”; cf. comments on heḇel in Ecc. 1:2) because the “gods” being honored were created by their worshipers (cf. Isa. 40:18-20). A person would chop down a tree, give the wood to a craftsman who fashioned it to the desired shape. This “god” was then covered with silver and gold and fastened to a base so that it would not totter. You might say well, we do not worship a God but you are wrong. Saint Nick AKA, Santa-Claus. The tree is set up in your home.
Me, as an old school typed Christian in the Philippines, that term halloween wasn’t or isn’t really the term we use, it is rather the “All Souls day”, it is supposed to be holy, to remember and pray for our relatives’ souls and for other souls and especially to the ones that are being forgotten, and to celebrate their memories. That was the main purpose of the All Souls’ Day, which is quite different from the western countries; they’re making parties and costumes and some scary outfits, which is also slowly being adapted in the Philippines now a days.
👍👍 I got rebuked yesterday after church by 2 “mature” Christians, when asked if I would attend the churches “Trunk or Treat” as soon as I said no….the attacks came, reminding me of the evangelism opportunities during trunk or treat. I can’t do it. To me, it’s still celebrating Halloween, but just changing the name. Am I the only one who thinks Christians (churches) should not even celebrate a “Christian alternative” Halloween?
When I was a little girl I had an experience and I went to a house and I felt something bad so I pray to God and some men open the door to give kids candy and when I came they looked at me with fear and said no don’t give it to this one and then I said these are my brothers and sisters and they said don’t give it to none of them my brothers and sister did not understand they were mad but I saw and felt and under that there was an angel by me. God protect me and my brothers. And you don’t know if those candy hade venom or whatever.

That’s funny because Haloween is a Catholic holiday made by Pope Gregory the III in commemoration of converting a roman pantheistic temple into a church dedicated to saints and martyrs, and thus is a celebration of the church’s triumph over paganism. Samhain is a pagan holiday that happens to be on the same day, but is not Halloween, which is just a contraction of All Hallows’ Eve before All Saints day, before All Souls day. people seriously need to know what they are talking about before actually talking about something, as by this same stroke Christmas is pagan because it happens to be on Dec 25th which is the same as the pagan holiday of Saturnalia. just because Halloween has been turned into a consumerist garbage dump holiday like Christmas does not mean it’s in any way pagan.
My ex pastor and his wife used to love fortune cookies and would collect bag fulls to open and read at home with their children and watch movies like” the excorsist” and ” the conjuring ” and say it was ok to watch, it wasn’t until he preached an anti Semitic “sermon” saying all Jews were hateful and no jew would ever say Jesus loves you, after saying he had jewish blood which was a lie. Halloween is literally celebrating the eve of all saints day, or all Hallows’ day. It has been widely secularized, and some have used the holiday to spread some frankly disgusting stuff, but the holiday is actually a Christian holiday. If I were to guess, I’d say that what turned all hallows’ eve into a holiday about death is because the holiday is about celebrating martyrs. This is then followed by all souls’ day, also known as the Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed or the Day of the Dead. These are all originally Christian holidays that gained such recognition that they began being celebrated by non-Christian people. The fact that these Christian holidays are all about death, are probably why Halloween ended up being about death and scary things. Afterall, what is more frightening than death?

I read something in the bible, Corinthians I think, it was talking about people being scared of eating meat because they were scared that it was prayed over by people that don’t believe and I think it said that, pretty much, ignorance is bliss and it’s okay until you question it or something like that. I suck at citing scripture. I just started my Bible journey and getting into God’s word.
It is a sin for this man to even speak on this topic. (1 Corinthians 10:23-30) We have the freedom to make decisions about using wisdom and guidance from the Holy Spirit to lead us. If we listen to Jesus and do what He says, He will never lead us away from Himself. If dressing in costumes and going door to door offends your conscience, don’t do it. If it doesn’t bother you, celebrate it. But we must not impose our personal conscience issues on others. We have the freedom to navigate these decisions because God gave us this freedom.
I have three children two of them are in their thirties and I have a 15 year old I have never gave my children permission to celebrate Halloween . Instead parents that have the same views and beliefs as myself would arrange a party which we named a hallelujah party. The children would dress up in bright colours, play games, each parent would bring a dish over that was laid out on a big table outside for the children to share and eat together. There were only two rules needed. The first the word Halloween abs anything associated with it was banned and the second rule was to laugh, sing, be kind, play and love the light of life. Some children would tease and be horrible and the children were made to feel they were somehow weird because they didn’t celebrate something that quite frankly is what all our worst nightmares are made of. We would invite all the parents and children in the class every year but sadly most never came and celebrated Halloween with their parents blessing. My children did ask me once they reached secondary school and I said the same as I say now to my teenager. No way am I going to let the most precious things in my life Take part for one night in such a dark macabre event. All three thank me now.
