📹 Skin a Watermelon Party Trick
Here’s a cool watermelon trick to make you the #1 food bringer at your Labor Day picnic this weekend. PLEASE CONSIDER …
The thing about eating watermelon is that it loses flavor as you eat it. The way a watermelon is cut for eating ( traditionally or conventionally) is in triangle shapes because the watermelon is so large and in an oval shape that it is cut first in thick round slices and the slices are cut in triangle shapes. And thus you eat the watermelon unavoidably starting at the tip of the triangle (which is of the center of the entire watermelon) and as you eat and bite further down you get closer to the green skin of the watermelon and the sweet flavor of the center of the watermelon is not as strong mid way to the skin and after you have been eating the sweet center you notice that the part closer to the skin practically tastes like water.
You can do something similar with a banana by slicing the banana before you peel it. That way when someone peels it, the banana pieces start falling apart. You use a new needle and thread and essentially sew the thread around the banana until you end on the starting hole. Then you take both ends of the thread that are now together and you pull. This pulls the thread through the banana and cuts it leaving very small, mostly unnoticeable, needles holes in the skin.
