Blind is a debuff that reduces the accuracy and evasion of an affected target by 20 and lowers the light radius to the minimum value. It does not affect the ability to hit with a spell, as it always hits and does not take evasion and accuracy into calculation. The Disorienting Display cluster jewel has a 10 chance to blind nearby enemies when using an Elemental skill.
In hardcore builds, some people might use Blind Support and shaper mods, such as the Gladiator’s passive skill “blood in the eyes”. However, most dangerous damage is usually spell-based, which blind, evasion, and armor do not affect. The “10 chance to blind enemies on hit” only works on attacks made with the wand.
The base duration of Blind is 4 seconds. Attacking with Resolute Technique or attacking a target which does not have a chance to hit, and critical strikes have a 10-20 chance to blind enemies. Combining the Blind Effect with Wind Dancer Keystone can increase the Evade Chance.
Blind does not affect your Light Radius, but it does reflect the blind you inflict to you. This support gem provides supported skills with a chance to inflict blind, which greatly reduces an enemy’s chance to hit for a short duration.
In Blade Vortex Builds, the prefix of blind on hit works on spells or not. Zombies can be supported by the blind gem, and they blind enemies when they hit. Blind does not affect your Light Radius, but it provides a 10-20 chance to gain a 10-20 chance to inflict blind, which greatly reduces an enemy’s chance to hit for a short duration.

Does overwhelm work with spells?
Overwhelm is a spell that can be applied to both spells and units, dealing leftover damage to the enemy player. It does not work for blocking units but works for spells played on enemy turn. If a blocker is removed before damage is dealt, the blocker will deal damage to the player. If a blocker is blocked by an invulnerable unit or a unit with unspent Regen Regen, the first time a Regen Regen is dealt damage, prevent it, and no damage is dealt to the blocking unit or the player, even if the blocker’s health is lower than the attacker’s strength.
Does evasion work in sanctum poe?
In 3. 22, three buffs were added to Sanctum, allowing players to mitigate Resolve loss and scale with their Armour, Evasion, and Energy Shield. The Forbidden Sanctum is a league mechanic similar to a Roguelike but within PoE. Players must navigate through four floors, acquiring Boons and Afflictions to help them. Dying or taking too many hits will result in being kicked out of the Sanctum and forcing players to start over from scratch. This league mechanic is not for the faint of heart.
Is Unbreakable good PoE?
Unbreakable is a passive skill for the Juggernaut that grants life regeneration, damage reduction, and doubles the amount of armor received from equipped body armour. It also grants life regeneration based on physical damage mitigation. Iron Reflexes do not double evasion rating bonuses from body armour. Petrified Blood’s damage spread mechanics do not count as mitigation and do not contribute to “prevented damage”.
How many hours to beat PoE?
Path of Exile’s main story takes around 30 hours to complete, including playing through all ten acts and an epilogue. The completion time may vary depending on side content, such as challenge league-related side content. Achieving 100% completion is a challenging task, with an average completion time of 700 hours, varying by player. However, until the game ends its seasonal leagues, there will never be a shortage of content. The completion time varies between players, with an average of 824 hours. The game’s completion time varies from player to player, but it is a significant challenge for players.
Does on hit work with spells?
The text posits that experienced players and elites engage in item trading within the confines of the town, whereas novice players, lacking the requisite knowledge to navigate the intricacies of PoE, resort to monster slaying as a means of acquiring items. A 17-chance blind on hit craft with winter orb was tested, and no subjects observed the winter orb proc blind. Additionally, the text references a confrontation with Kitava, yet no corroborating evidence was provided.
How does blind work?
Blind is a community of over 8 million verified professionals who anonymously share advice, discuss company culture, and gain exclusive insights to inspire change in the workplace. Leading companies use Blind’s employer tools to help them hire, understand, and retain top talent. The platform balances anonymity with the context of a shared workplace, resulting in rich, relevant, and authentic conversations. Verification of a work email is required for full access.
Does sharpshooter work with spells?
The spell “Sharpshooter” is applicable only to spells that require an attack with a ranged weapon. It is most effectively utilized in scenarios where the player has the advantage or is able to ignore cover. In such cases, the advantage effectively negates the -5 penalty. The Sharpshooter ability may be applied to multiple attacks, as it is applied prior to initiating an attack.
Does evasion work on spells PoE?
Evading an attack prevents damage and other harmful effects, including status ailments and stun. Only melee and ranged attacks can be evaded, and spells are automatically hit. The chance to evade is based on the defender’s evasion rating compared to the attacker’s accuracy. The chance to evade is limited to 0 to 95. Two modifiers bypass evasion: Cannot Evade enemy Attacks (e. g., Unwavering Stance keystone or Ezomyte Peak Quality), and attacks using Hits cannot be evaded.
Does evasion dodge spells?
Rogues should note that evasion does not affect spells, and “ranged attacks” refer to bow attacks and possibly wanding. Popping Ice Lanced to death in low-level BG will have no effect. ZAM Network, LLC DBA Fanbyte, the owner of Wowhead. com, has discontinued servicing users from your location and is preventing access to any websites owned and operated by them. This decision was made due to the number of visitors from your region and the operational costs required to continue providing access. How does a blind system work?
Window blinds are a type of window covering made of various types of hard materials, such as wood, plastic, or metal, and are controlled by cords. They can be opened and closed manually or remotely, and can be manipulated using a manual or remote control. There are also shades, which use a single piece of soft material instead of slats. Window blinds can also refer to a wider range of window coverings, including shutters, roller shades, cellular shades, wood blinds, Roman shades, standard vertical, and horizontal blinds. In the United Kingdom, awnings are sometimes called blinds or shades.
Window blinds are typically sold as ready-made or made to measure. Ready-made blinds are manufactured to set sizes based on typical window dimensions, while made to measure blinds are cut to a specific width and drop to match the window. The advantage of ready-made blinds is their availability and cost, while made to measure blinds are more expensive but better fit the window’s dimensions.
How strong is blind PoE?
Blind is a debuff that reduces the accuracy and evasion of a target by 20 and reduces the light radius to the minimum value. It has a base duration of 4 seconds and can be nullified by attacking with Resolute Technique or Unwavering Stance. Blind also reduces a target’s effective critical strike chance by reducing its chance to succeed confirmation rolls of critical strikes. It is not an elemental status ailment and is not affected by the Crystal Skin notable passive skill. Blind mitigation sources include Cannot be Blinded, Second Sight, and You are Blind.
The funny bit is a lot of this, especially the trees, aren’t all that complex… they’re just designed to give you that illusion when you first open it up and see there’s 500 nodes to read. But then you spend 5 minutes with it and see the majority of it is travel nodes that aren’t really choices, and then the rest of the tree are build specific things that are also mostly non-choices. Like you’re not taking the minion or dual wielding nodes for your non-minion shield wielding build. There are some neat things you can do with very specific setups by combining items etc but for the most part its very straightforward once we’re past the shock value. The atlas tree is even more this case, you’re just picking what content you want to focus on in a convoluted way because it feels good to put the points in the thing.
The problem with PoE talent tree is, you never get the chance to experiment organically. There is no full talent reset outside of creating a new character – you can only revert talent points step by step by using currency. So most players will feel shoehorned into blindly following a guide, becoming completely ignorant to what other options the tree has. The depth of the system is good, but you get punished so hard for trying to experiment.
It took me around 3 years to even get into this game. Just constant installing it, playing it for a bit and then losing any motivation given the steep beginner curve (talking about PoE around 5-7 years ago). At some point, I had some spare time and I finally decided to look up a guide so that I can just follow along and actually play the game. Long story short…I am addicted to it now and any ARPG I played since then, I immediately start missing the complexity and in-depth nature of PoE. (Not saying that I do not enjoy games like Diablo or Grim Dawn, but nothing hits like it anymore, you know?)
People who think the atlas skill tree made the game more complex never really played or have a terrible memory. I guess you don’t remember shaper and elder influence on the atlas, having to move it around, combining sections, ping ponging influences, working through tiers perfectly to get to red maps, moving influence to the middle to be able to do guardians. Atlas skill tree, you want to kill more guardians? Put a point in guardian map drops. Done.
I think the complexity of the skills trees, combined with the amount of various unique gear, endgame playstyles, etc, is really the reason PoE is so succesful. I get so bored of WoW where there’s only one right way to play every spec and everyone wants the same exact gear. Nice to be able to theory craft and have tons of builds that are viable all the way to end game. Sure there will always be some that far outperform others, but you can do all content easily with tons of variations.
Thing is though, if you don’t have this you get Diablo 3 where everyone uses the exact same things because there is no variation possible. Yes this takes more time to fully comprehend, but as for learning I would say its pretty simple to pick up the game and just follow a build guide. I have thousands of hours and often still just follow cookie cutter build guides when I’m learning a new skill. Start simple and just follow what top players do and then when you do start to understand the ability to change so much and gain a ton of personalization makes thing so much more enjoyable in the long run.
I played PoE when it came out, then quit and ended up playing a lot of D3 over the years. Played the D4 beta and decided I was going to buy it… but I tried PoE again yesterday and holy fuck is it so much fun early game. The key is to not follow guides and just read items as you go. You just get so many abilities right away and don’t have to spend time auto swinging at shit for hours. The UI design and amount of options is also so nice. It’s a true PC experience. But the best part so far is the fully customizable/expandable STASH. WHY hasn’t Blizzard done this!? Space is the one thing that always makes me stop playing these games.
PoE Passive tree looks complicated as fuck but its like the easiest part of the whole game. Its very linear, you pick a side or sides and you start going one by one to where you want to go aka to get a certain BIG/Medium passive nodes. It’s not Diablo easy but yes it is definitely more complex which I find great.
one is for your character, to determine how you want to build it to kill stuff/survive etc. the other is the endgame tree, to determine which of the content which exists in the game you would like to enhance and focus on, which you would like to remove- not to be confused with the atlas itself which is a collection of the available layouts you can look to focus in on for your farming (note this doesn’t include large endgame systems like heist/delve which are independent of the atlas in a trade league pretty much). theres also some diablo style skill trees to determine additional defensive layers, your weapon/shield specific tree in this patch.
Imagine if Diablo had such a needlessly convoluted system? We would never hear the end of it. For POE it’s an engaging complex system and for Diablo it would be a Forced barrier of entry full of confusion. Overly complex doesn’t = good, even for POE. I’m not saying the game is bad, I really enjoy it. The double standards are annoying.
As someone who just started PoE, it’s honestly not that complicated. It’s a tree divided into multiple specializations, as long as you know what you want, you just focus on one area anyways. That said, it’s not good design for new players, because we all know people don’t bother to read shit, that’s when it gets overwhelming quick
It’s not as complicated if u think about IT. Thing is ppl are too lazy to think about their own builds. Just read words, take what u think suits Ur playstyle or u think u will need and enjoy the game. I am currently lvl 73 hc ruthless slick boi shadow (i didn’t die yet) and i’m having great time playing the game, even tho i’m new to Poe. The game problem is that they present u with too much choice and ppl get lost on IT, cuz they are lazy, and would rather have someone else think for them.
I think I have played about 6 or 7 PoE Leagues and every now and then I am between games or have some free time and try to jump back in to a new League and then I open that skill tree and think “Meh. I’ll play something else.” I am not always in the mood to figure out what ability I want to go with ahead of time and find a build to follow. As much as I have enjoyed PoE I am glad that Diablo 4 is going a more accessible route.
as some one who plays poe almost all the time, the skill trees arent that bad to learn, the atlas one is easier as its just league mechs but the normal one can take some time but once you know what to scale for example if your doing a ele build you dont want any phys damage scaling unless you convert, then you can focus on the other nodes
So to play this game you have to sit down, map out what every thing does, and then calmly pre-roll your character on paper (across hours of time) to then spend weeks slowly grinding your way up to the creation of the character you have deemed appopriate via your subjective view of what creates the most proficient & fun play through for yourself? Just play Dungeons & Dragons.
This looks daunting but then as you start allocating the levels you see that it’s really simple. You understand that those +10 dex / strenght nodes are just for pathing towards clusters. And the clusters are straightforward building blocks – bows, claws, swords, fire spells, mines, life, mana, caster, summons etc etc. If you play a popular league starter like Pohx RF you path to fire damage and damage over time. And defensive clusters ofc. It’s not that complicated. I think the game would be much less daunting if it covered the whole tree in darkness and only shown you a small part at first, then revealing more and more as you level up, eventually revealing the whole thing once you finish the campaign (once – for the whole account). And granting you 1 full respec if you want to. Then there won’t be that “jesus christ, where do I even begin” feeling when you hit level 2 and want to allocate your first passive point.
It’s not even that complicated. You decide what type of build you wanna play, I.e. is it elemental damage, chaos, etc., is it a spell, bow, melee 1h or 2h, etc. And you pick up damage nodes that align with that which are close to your starting location. You also pick up health and some defensive nodes to balance survivability. You can use the search box to find stuff and check what’s where. After a while you will know a lot of nodes by heart from taking them all the time on many builds since certain nodes work with many builds.
They could easily delete about 75% of the nodes in both trees and it wouldn’t effect the depth in any way, though. So many of the nodes are just pure fluff/filler. Just traveling around grabbing 10 dex or str here and there. So many of those could just be rolled into singular nodes of high amounts of str, fewer points overall. And not just straight attributes, but other fluff scalers like crit, % damage, etc. It’s not as complicated as it looks because most of your points don’t have any choice involved. Only a small handful of your points will matter, the rest just needs to create paths to the actual meaningful choices (ie: real keystones, like Mind Over Matter or Chaos Inoculation), and just needs to do so in an efficient way. I hope one day they gut the tree. It wouldn’t touch the depth of character building at all, but it would make more people play the game. And I say this as a person who does make my own builds and push leaderboards. Tinkering in POB is something I like to do. But not many people want to spend hours upon hours not playing the game before they get to play the game — hence why 90%+ of people just copy builds (which, I don’t blame them).
The people who are into this are REALLY into it, and then there is the rest of us who think it’s the most mediocre, and boring game ever, even just playing it for the “the story” is the longest, and ridiculously drawn out experience. And then for whatever reason they announced a 2nd one which really isn’t a 2nd one like 6 years ago and we still don’t know when it’s supposed to come out.
Dude I am honest but no problem with it I hope, when I was younger I never really saw you, or feel you and because of that I wouldnt like you, but today, I feel you so much, and listed to some of your stories and so and I want to say, I really appreciate you as a person and also creator and stuff, you have such a uniquely cool and funny personality I just like you very much and I wanted to say I appreciate you and the content you created, stay as you are man your a cool dude! 🙂
When i saw the “Atlas skill tree” i left the game instantly. Gave away all the items i had to random people, knowing that i will never come back to this garbage xD. A whole tree of “+2% chance of rare loot drop” kind of skills that work only in a randomly generated atlas dungeons. That’s how you know you’ve hit the grind wall. And grind is work, not fun.
i do all my own builds POE as an ARPG, offers something that none others will and no others in the future likely can. Freedom of Choice. you can Make whatever kind of Build. up to a certain extent how you want to play the game. the ability to really personalize a character is great. where 95% of all other ones theres only 1 right way true theres some builds that far outperform others but at the end of the day you can enjoy the experience the way YOU want to not how the game developers or Community says is the best way. as there is no true “best way” in path of exile. its all down to the individual and whatever works for them. if they choose to they can play builds off of blueprints / roadmaps forged by others or if they really want to they can be like me and trial and error your way to end game content. i was told when i first started playing. my first character wouldn’t beable to reach act 5. with simple reading of the Passive tree. and POE wiki searches. learning what some of the most basic mechanics do. i was able to get a Dualist summoner to end game. (granted i still don’t know 100% how some of the interactions behave) its just overall a very rewarding experience to see something you designed get to the end of the game and it performs how you designed it to.
That looks awesome to me but i keep hearing about the fact that if you build your character without a guide your effed. If only you can respec your character easily and or edit it in a way to allow you create a balanced character at the end thats playable. id rather make my own mistakes and fix it later without having to find gods left nut sac and or do some absurd quest to respec.
To be honest it looks scarier then it is especially atlas tree. It is pretty much look for a wheel of content that interests you click the big circle inside it and it will light up other wheels of the same content. About the character tree just get a good guide lol If you are brand new phox is the way he’s holding your hand throughout most of the game. Poe doesn’t have forgiving respect system so guide is must have for 99% of noobs
About %99 of the nodes there generic and repeating(sometimes combined at forks) stuff though. Like, starting from the big red orb, about first 20 of them are just +10 health or something. It branches 4 times, every branch again goes for about 5 times as +20 health %5 attack speed, or 20 health 5 attack damage or 20 health 5 movement speed etc etc you get the idea.
Honestly the reason I don’t play this game is 2 fold. 1.the story never changes. 2. you can 100% get to the end game and then find out the build you spent hours maybe even days on is just not going to work and have to start again from scratch. its a game where you either know what you are doing or HAVE to obey a guide step by step. lots of freedom sure but only like 1 or 2 things work per class per season. look at all of that, and only a few things work. naw I’m good thanks.
i remember playing PoE in 2015, enjoyed the game got a ways into it. Then the following year got a job that would result in me going months without internet, and since it has no offline play, i kinda lost track of it entirely. Now everytime i try to play again, i just kinda get overwhelmed by those very things and by having no idea at which point in the story i am, hwere to go to and what to do. Spend a few days trying to figure things out and just get tired and leave again.
People that develope POE have one worker there that is an actual genius, I saw too many exp poe players saying how they know so little about the game but they played it for years and beat it many times over, yeah some joked but many were serious, that can only happen when they meet an unmovable force aka some genius behind the scene making this for them.
actually there is 5.5 XDDD 1 is the basic skill tree (basic 🤣) 1 is the ascendancy 1 is the atlas tree 1 is for the weapons and one unique item (crucible league actually ) 1 is from the masteries of the basic skill tree (a mastery is a node in which you choose between multiple choices) 0.5 from the cluster jewel (it’s an jewel item that create a skill tree that give bonuses and notables and even more jewel socket You can do : cluster jewel socket you put a large cluster Jewel in which you put a medium cluster Jewel in which you put a jewel 😀
There might look like a lot of choice but it’s all superficial. Most builds have generic heat maps, regardless of skills played that use the same nodes over and over. Primarily this is driven by poor balance of the skills, not the skill tree. The disparity between the worst skills and the best is millions of dps, which is really annoying because it seems a perpetual issue. When you get down to it, almost all builds look the same, play very similar to each other and revolve around the same defensives & secondary support skills because the the majority of the more complex mechanics are hidden behind 1000s of hours of theory/currency that almost no-one gets to see or play because it requires insane time investment.
I used to play PoE years ago and thought the skill trees were so cool. I downloaded it again for the crucible update and I just turned it off when I saw that. I don’t think I like the game enough anymore to sit through and mess with that. It’s not complicated, it’s just too much. 90% of it is just passive numbers anyway. I find all of that very cumbersome.
It’s an awful idea. PoE and Diablo has just become a math problem. That’s why I switched to shooters, they’ve way more randomization and endless amount of situations AS WELL AS ACTUAL SKILLS and know-hows for dealing with situations. MMORPGs were supposed to be an adventure, not a damn hoarding and planning simulator.
These comments haha. Look i get PoE is super complicated but the majority of what the haters have problems with actually have such simple and ez solutions… but theyll never bother to learn. They’ve been using icyveins/wowhead and DLing 3rd party programs from curse to twitch back to curse now overwolf or some shiz since 2006, BUT NOW! BUT NOW that they are approached by the most conplicated leveling tree they ha e dealt with, “a game shouldn’t force you to follow a build or DL 3rd party programs to have a good experience.” Lol Good news is that the game doesnt require you to do those things. You can definitely figure it out on your own. It will take longer is all, but maybe that would be more enjoyable. If you want to trust that more experienced players have already figured it out, then find an ability/theme/playstyle you like and follow a build. Learn the game, then make your own.
There’s no such thing as too many choices in a article game… Maybe paralysis overanalysis, but that’s just perception. More choices means more content, more content means more article game, more article game means more fun!! More fun means more your moneys worth! SO yea, give me all the choices, and if I have to replay the game to get different stuff thats called replay value! I’ll take that too.. Content creators sometime complain about “too many” this or “too long” that, listen not all of us want the game to be over ASAP so we can just go record the next one for content too! Some of us like to sit down for awhile and enjoy our games.
And there are people who still don’t understand why some people prefer Diablo or any other ARPG over PoE. Like Jesus fucking Christ just let me play the fucking game. It’s basically impossible to play this game normally. You either have to copy builds from the internet, go blindly and end up with shitty build or spend 50 hours reading all of this shit and planning out the best route. And we all know what majority of people will do…
Truly they do such an awful job over-complicating the game, obfuscating mechanics, and almost zero onboarding or teaching the player. A game where majority of players have to use multiple sites and tools to make it playable. Such a failure in design. Bloated, annoying game that feels like a job most of the time. I want to have fun ACTUALLY PLAYING THE GAME when I sit down after work to game, not hop through sites, tools, and documentation to advance. Its a shame because there is a good game when you get a fun build going but man does it take some effort to get there. I guess no lifers are fine with it. They dont put energy into a career or their life. Might as well dump it into a stupid article game that adds nothing to your life.
At this point, the only thing that PoE can do to become more new-player friendly is to implement an ‘auto-builder’. Someone in the game creates a build and generated a unique code for it and posts it online. You copy/paste that code in your game and all your shit gets automatically allocated when acquired. A drastically improved game filter for items is sorely needed as well. The one Last Epoch has is many fold better than PoE. I’m not saying that PoE should cater to more casual players but no matter how popular it is, the actual player-base will always be niche if it stays in a state similar to this. I love PoE and have tried several times over the years to get into and every time its just too much overwhelming information. Not only that, the game it also extremely punishing if you don’t have effectively ‘knowledge of the future’ (what build you’re going to do and other things like this. if you go into the game with actual 0 knowledge and do little to no research, you’ll EASILY waste 100s of hours on characters that can’t even complete the campaign.) Again, not saying this is a bad thing but certain pushes a large potential audience away that would bring in a good amount of money over time. I know they’re working on PoE 2 and all my hopes are that it will be more accessible to players who don’t go ‘hardcore’ for the game and dedicate 100s and/or 1000s of hours just to have a chance to create a potentially fun build to them that can actually do most of the content (not all of it, that’s for sure) Anyways, this is just my 2 cents on the topic.
It’s honestly not that complicated, it just looks complicated. Imo they should compartmentalize it better for new players and only let you at the whole thing after you beat say tier 5 maps. The system is not complicated, the tutorial is bad and the in-game tools to help you figure out what you are supposed to do don’t exist. With 3rd party tools even a 1st time player can clear tier 15+ maps easily, but it’s very handheld. This is why I ruined the game for myself, used too many builds designed by others and now I can’t design my own bc I can’t think outside the box.
i use to like PoE but shit has gotten so convoluted that it kinda took the enjoyment out of it for me. It’s too painful to respec so you have to go and set up your build before you start playing, only shit is so insanely complex you can’t realistically make a good build anymore unless you know 99% of the things in-game, so the only option is to grab other people’s build I like experimenting with things and discovering new combos by myself and stuff, that used to be possible in early PoE but nowadays it gives me a headache just starting thinking about it still don’t get why to this day the game doesn’t just let you fully respec easily, it would make me want to play knowing i can fuck up my builds early to experiment and still pivot into a viable build late game
Its sad to see all these children here complaining the game is too complex and they cant comprehend it, I remember when gaming was a hobby for geeks and a certain level of complexity was expected, but now our industry has been invaded by casuals who demand everygame catters to them by being simple, easy, unchallenging, unsophisticated and effortless as not to threaten to expose their lack of skill or intelligence and the very few who dont gets viciously attacked for it. Instead of simply considering a different game try considering a different hobby.
I think I played PoE for a about 3 weeks then one day I logged on and the weapon I got the day before which was really good had just vanished so I quit.. looking at this shite I’m glad I quit fuck that I hate these kind of skill set up makes me bored looking at it who wants to sit and go through 65k possible skill routes
