Dating sims, also known as relationship simulation role-playing games, have gained popularity in recent decades. These games, often anime-inspired, aim to nurture romantic relationships with non-player characters through gaming interaction. One of the most successful dating sims is Mystic Messenger, a South Korean mobile app game released two years ago. The game requires players to choose a female avatar who chats with six attractive men in real-time, from whom they select a fictional character to begin a romantic relationship.
The game takes place in real-time, synchronizing with the player’s mobile phone time zone, with characters sending emails, texts, and phone calls pre-recorded by humans. Despite criticisms of the lack of complexity in the characters’ personalities, the conversations provided by the characters seem engaging enough to sustain attention and spark romantic emotions towards the characters. Is Zen Japanese or Chinese?
Zen Buddhism originated in India but was formalized in China, with Chan, or Chinese Chan, being transmitted to Japan in the thirteenth century. It became the most prominent form of Buddhism between the fourteenth and sixteenth centuries. Immigrant Chinese prelates introduced Chinese literature, calligraphy, philosophy, and ink painting to their Japanese disciples, who often traveled to China for further study. Today, ink monochrome painting is the art form most closely associated with Zen Buddhism.
The first Japanese artists to work in this medium were Zen monks, who painted quickly and evocatively to express their religious views and personal convictions. Later, artists moved on to secular themes such as bamboo, flowering plums, orchids, and birds, which were endowed with scholarly symbolism in China. The range of subject matter expanded to include literary figures and landscapes, and the painting styles became more important than personal expression. Zen Buddhism’s emphasis on simplicity and the importance of the natural world generated a distinctive aesthetic, expressed by the terms wabi and sabi.
Why did V go blind?
V, a renowned figure in the world of espionage, had a profound love for Rika, whom he considered his “innocent soul” and his sun. V tried to protect her and preserve her memory, but she ultimately sacrificed his life for her.
In the Secret Ending, Rika’s hatred of V deepened, and she became a shadow of herself, rarely responding to others and her environment. In Another Story, Rika’s hatred of V deepened, as she believed he had never truly accepted her, the dark version of herself. V begged Rika not to hurt the MC and let him take her place, but Rika rejected him, expressing her deep hatred towards him.
When V admitted that their love was an obsession, Rika was shocked that she had never truly been loved by anyone in her life. As V moved on past their relationship, Rika begged him to return while discussing her disgust for him. Eventually, V ended their relationship, causing Rika to break down again, begging and threatening the MC to bring back her sun.
As V mourns for his failed love, he now realizes that the love they had was toxic and wants to move past it with the MC.
What ethnicity is Zen?
Zen is a Mahayana Buddhist school that originated in China during the Tang dynasty as the Chan School or Buddha-mind school. It has evolved into various sub-schools and branches, influenced by Taoism, particularly Neo-Daoist thought. Zen spread to Vietnam, Korea, and Japan, becoming Vietnamese Thiền, Seon Buddhism, and Japanese Zen.
Zen emphasizes meditation practice, direct insight into one’s Buddha nature, and personal expression of this insight in daily life for the benefit of others. Some Zen sources de-emphasize doctrinal study and traditional practices, favoring direct understanding through zazen and interaction with a master, often depicted as an iconoclastic and unconventional figure. However, most Zen schools also promote traditional Buddhist practices like chanting, precepts, rituals, monasticism, and scriptural study.

Hello Cheritz. I had the game on my phone but had to delete it for personal reasons. The last time I bought some hourglasses was 2 or 3 days ago, but money is still being taken away from me even though I deleted and uninstaled the game. This is a HUGE problem for me and I am litteraly begging anyone who sees this to help me figure out what the hell is happening and how I can end this. Thank you.
