Does The Lockdown Indicate A Plot?

Online conspiracy theorists have transformed vague proposals from an influential organization into a powerful viral rallying cry. These theories range from a human-made virus to vaccine conspiracy theories, with the belief that the COVID-19 pandemic was a hoax or that the virus was deliberately released for sinister reasons. The Reopen movement, which advocates for the reopening of the country, has also been influenced by these conspiracy theories.

One such conspiracy theory is QAnon, which claims that President Trump is waging a secret war against Satan-worshipping elites. Another is the “Climate lockdowns” narrative, which promotes the idea that governments and elites would use climate change as an excuse for imposing new measures.

Past research shows that the increase in conspiracy theories during a pandemic is not a new phenomenon. Protesters radicalized by their opposition to Covid-19 lockdowns have a new target: anti-traffic measures. False information, including intentional disinformation and conspiracy theories, about the scale of the COVID-19 pandemic and its origin, prevention, and response has become a significant issue.

A survey also found that one in seven people believe violence is a fair response to alleged conspiracies, such as “15-minute cities”. As the COVID-19 crisis worsens, the world also faces a global misinformation pandemic, with conspiracy theories that behave like viruses themselves.

  • This article does more to confirm the “conspiracy” and “disinformation ” then refute it. Fines for traveling too far or on the wrong road, how is this not a form of government locking its residents down. Then UK government needs behavioral change huh or more fines? So is that still a democracy? I missed the part where the people are consulted for the decision rather government academics.

  • This comment section is so demoralising. Use of private motor vehicles, especially for longer distances, has been proven time and time again to be an inefficient way of travelling that is expensive, inequitable and dangerous. Car-centric design has destroyed the vibrancy of many places where streets that were made for people, are now thoroughfares for vehicles to speed through. Cars still have their place in our cities – we just don’t need so much of them.

  • Why force a lockdown on people? If you just provide the damn services, everybody will naturally prefer closer services over tdistant ones and you would in any case reduce by a lot traffic etc… What’s the need to FORCE a lockdown? The only answer is that stripping away people’s freedom is EXACTLY your purpose, and the environmental thing is just an excuse.

  • Dang wow what a comment section ive come across. It’s a bit upsetting to see people misunderstanding what the 15 minute city is. The idea is very simple: Having your basic necessities like healthcare and grocery stores within a 15 minute walk or bike ride outside of your house. The whole idea is to make urban and suburban areas more people friendly and walkable. I don’t think I’m gonna be able to change many peoples opinions here but just note that making a place more friendly to other modes of transportation is about giving people the freedom to choose a mode of transportation that suits thier needs best instead of being dependent on thier car for every trip outside of the house.

  • Obviously, cameras and fines is a totalitarian approach. How about re-zoning suburbs (talking mostly about the U.S. here) to allow mixed use, to allow small convenience shops and barbershops and coffee places and libraries and whatnot closer to where people live? Biking up to, say, 5 miles is totally fine – you leave your home, exercise while biking to work and have a productive day. Good cities are actually built like this, there are clusters of houses, shops, child-care centers, schools, drugstores, etc. You leave your area to go to a big theater or an amusement park.

  • This isn’t about climate change . The last climate change meeting was world leaders in planes not vaccined all meeting in Scotland in Glasgow . So based on facts, the new measure with gas increased prices, the poorest again with mortgages, rents, food, increases that are out of control will pay the price again for something the public haven’t voted for that doesn’t seem to be any inflections on the people pushing it

  • Holy shit, the comments here make me lose my faith in humanity. 15 Minute Cities are about having all ammentities within a fifteen minute walk, saving the neccessity of needing a car. Something that american cities for instance have embraced the opposite of to such an extent, that having a car is a neccessity with no viable alternative. Public transit either badly funded or not existant at all, bike lanes are a rarity and sidewalks are so thin they are a danger. And that all was and is actively supported by big companies that have a vested interested in keeping their customers in their cars. It seems these people here see a threat in having the option to walk, take public transit or drive and not be reliant on the latter. Fear and furthermore spreading conspiracy theories does terrible things to people. This comment section is a monument to how far the propaganda from auto firms can go.

  • Im a recent Urban Planning graduate. I currently work for Maryland, Usa state gov and this shit has been driving me insane. It saddens me that the conspiracy and the outright ineptitude of the Oxford Planning commission are soiling a genuinely good idea. This isn’t what 15 minutes cities are supposed to be! You’re supposed to incentives people with bikeways, towen centers, alterning traffic patterns, economic development. Not N@zi like surveillance! Shame on you.

  • Perhaps one of the easiest ways for individuals to lower their emissions is by giving up the luxury of fast transportation e.g. planes and yachts. Seems like 15 minute cities are not a conspiracy theory but simply an expensive way of missing the actual target. Elites behaviour change would solve much of the problem (75 percent plus) according to many reports whereas changing the behaviour of ordinary folk would reduce 3 percent of emissions if reports are correct 🤔.. it doesn’t take a conspiracy theory to rationalise that this places the reasons given as erroneous justification i.e. to reduce emissions subservient to concerns around controls, nudging and fining and changing the behaviour of normal folk which make little difference to said justification. If on the other hand the 15 minute plans are simply there to make life for citizens more convenient the erroneous justification is no longet necessary and another debate entirely is required with ordinary people at the helm.

  • I am a Brazilian, legally living in Europe for more than 20 years, all my family lives in Brazil and along all those years I somehow managed to visit my family once a year, than c19 came it took me two years to visit them, then because of the fuel higher prices it probably will take me another two years BUT what I am really worried about is that I will never see my mother again, when travelling from my village where I live in Europe will be already a challenge and flights will be only for very very very rich people. I think about the millions of people around the Globe that have families living very far away… I live in countryside, I deal with plants and have a garden and I know that a whole plantation can be destroyed if we don’t react on time when we see a single small plant disease, predator or a 15 minutes city. God Bless You All!

  • But I see no one mentions the downside where you get fined if you go over your entry / exit zones allowance for the year, as per Oxford and other planned 15 minute cities. It’s all rainbows until you have family, work etc that live outside your area which causes you to leave said area frequently and thus then get fined.

  • Imagine not being to see your loved ones or friends because you drive down that road “too often” my family and my friends live around and hour or 2 away from me so you’re telling me to take public transport instead when I can be on my own comfort of driving to them, this is a massive agenda and something worse is coming this is only the tip of the iceberg.

  • Nothing to worry about they say, use your car too much and we’ll happily fine you £70 ago so it will contribute to their over inflated pension packet. Live how they tell you not as they do, you would assume all council staff and some sections of society will be exempt and just Mr & Ms average will be left wth a limited way of life. I can’t believe this is happening in Great Britain land of the free home of the brave come on people fight this, many people have died fighting for our freedom don’t wave it away

  • We understood perfectly that you want to lockdown people. What’s the purpose of insisting so much on the obvious? Of course everybody prefers to have services close to home. The point is: once I have them, will you use that to strip away my freedom to move? That’s the point. You start with the carrot just because you want to obtain something else. Otherwise, you would just build the damn services, and maybe brag a bit to get votes, but there no need to create all this “15mins City” fuss, it’s simple common sense. The fact that you insist so much on it reveals that you want to strip away freedom of movement and we will not allow it.

  • Dammit, we finally start redesigning our cities for people and investing into public infrastructure and they develop a conspiracy around. It took decades to make any improvement. Hopefully they just stay in their Cottages until they move on to the next conspiracy so our cities can finally get better.

  • I think the most frightening thing is realizing you live among a lot of people who lack basic comprehension. I think a lot of you are insanely close minded and when it comes to presenting new ideas, instead of researching and forming your own opinion. You opt to listen to the comments of people who don’t even know what urban planning is and how important it is and you take this idea of ignorance and run with it. That is terrifying. I’ve lived in cities where I could get to everything within 15 mins and I’ve lived in cities where it’s took 40 mins to get to a place I needed to go. Why in the absolute hell would someone opt for the 40 mins option? No one is locking you up anywhere. You literally still have the option to go where you want. Not to mention a lot of you don’t even live in cities. So this doesn’t even apply to you. But for people who live in cities and who DONT drive, their options should in fact be closer since we’re paying a city tax a lot of the times. I really wish college was free in America because a lot of you need a critical thinking class. Also, BBC is a terrible news establishment. They’re Fox News but with a fancy accent.

  • With every idea, an idea can be hijacked by people who turn a good concept and idea into something that is originally not that idea. The 15 min city concept acording to wikipedia is simple; The 15-minute city is an urban planning concept in which most daily necessities and services, such as work, shopping, education, healthcare, and leisure can be easily reached by a 15-minute walk or bike ride from any point in the city. This approach aims to reduce car dependency, promote healthy and sustainable living, and improve wellbeing and quality of life for city dwellers. If there are politician who for some reason want to restrict people that they need a permit to go out of the 15 minute radius, then they hijack a good idea into something bad. That isn’t freedom. But that doesn’t make the 15 min city a bad idea. It’s just urban planning. Nothing more. Amsterdam where I live we are pretty close to a 15 minute city. Not everyone but it is coming closer. You dont NEED to use your car anymore. Only if you want to go outside of the city. The same as that a UBI can be implimented in a good and bad way, where it can cause harm, or do good.

  • Meanwhile, in China, they were literally welding the doors of apartment buildings shut. I can sympathize with those in small countries where density is a necessity and having everyone travel in a 4x2m automobile all the time would lead to instant gridlock, but there are other solutions. Grade separating vehicular and pedestrian/bike traffic, with the former inhabiting the ground level, and the ground floors and below providing parking and logistics, and the latter on viaducts above, with their own entrances to structures is one. Cabin motorcycles, combining the all weather and long distance travel capability of a conventional automobile with the rough dimensions of a bicycle is another. But leaving people without independent means of leaving their neighborhoods is not the answer. And yes, people are short sighted enough to assume that if don’t need the means to leave their neighborhood on their own 95% of the time, they will not bother in large numbers. If everyone needs to leave at once, they can’t. Public capacity is never built to that level. Systems break down. Ask New Orleans’s Lower 9th Ward what happens then. And as the Chinese can attest, if abuse is technically possible, sooner or later someone will find an excuse to implement it.

  • I don’t blame people for being skeptical. Not too long ago we are told by the “experts” that we need to have taxes on certain foods to fight climate change, ban all petrol/diesel vehicles, and commenters in certain media like The Guardian were talking about limiting the number of flights a person can take per year.

  • The final aim of all these things that appear to absurd to normal people but seem to be implemented anyways (lockdowns, ULEZ, 15 minute cities, CBDCs, zero cash societies etc.) is to reduce our choice so that we just stay in ‘our lane’ and only undertake activities that are allowed. Programmable digital currencies are already on their way, paving the way for restrictions where we spend only on items that are “allowed” or purchase carbon emission allowances, for example if one wants to get on a plane. All will be sold to us under the virtue of climate change (much like the ‘deployment’ of the Kent variant). While none of this will apply to the few super rich. Let me be clear, there will be no division in 10-15 years time apart from one: Those with Capital vs Those without. Whilst this is being implemented, we will be provided with numerous “look over there” events and issues, which I am sad to say a vast majority of us fall for quite easily.

  • How about all the security, facial recognition and then implementing CBCD! It all about controlling the people! Then all of the people will be segregated again, except for government or state officials, people in the justice system, criminal elites, globalist, etc! The people of the world better wake up to see the control and tyranny! The tyranny is not just from government it’s also from globalists, philanthropists, criminal elites etc!

  • Its hilarious to think think that theres people out there who live in car centric cities, entirely designed so you cant go anywhere in a timely or efficient manner without a car, forget about even trying to walk out of your neighborhood or having a shop to buy food from without planning out a road trip. Theres this whole industry built around making as much money as possible from making your life difficult and offering a solution to a problem it created and now everyones clutching their pearls at the idea of making it possible to not live like that?

  • This is the start of the end of self-employment, freedom to travel, freedom to purchase what you want when you want, Loss of trade from outside areas, and the suffocating of private local business ownership. WHO decides on what local businesses are allowed to still exist in the area? What are these new “Compliant” regulations and costs for existing businesses that they intend on implementing? WHO voted for this crap?

  • Thing is, we HAD the “utopia” being pushed here. Every residential area had a cluster of shops that provided most everything, and there was abundant public transport in the form of trams and omnibuses locally, and trains for anything non local. Owning personal transport was rare because it meant you had to own a horse. And yet despite this “paradise”, the motor car was immensely popular. Why? Because it represented personal freeedom to travel wherever one wished, whenever one wished, rather than by a timetable decided by someone else. And soon motorcars were enclosed so who wanted to hand around waiting for a bus in the pouring rain with a ton of shopping when one could travel by car?

  • This article takes a dystopian perspective of a 15 minute city and makes the idea sound far worse. I’m guessing the majority of people don’t know the details behind a 15 minute city is, so I’ll explain it. A 15 minute city is a city in which essentials such as grocers and pharmacies are within a 15 minute walk, public squares, parks, and retail are a 15 minute cycle ride, therefore the city center has no need for cars (though they are still an option, but when walking or cycling is easier why would you). If you’re an American, you need to understand that an ideal 15 minute city has inter city train lines as well as inner city public transit. In a perfectly designed 15 minute city, you would not want or need a car at all. You would be able to take a train out of the city to vacation wherever you wanted. In America, where driving is the only option in most cities, it does certainly feel like you should be able to do so and not have to pay fees to do it (though you do with registration fees and taxes). When a city is designed in a such a way to where you don’t need a car to enter it, it is justified to make cars pay higher fees. This article really makes it seem awful, and the way then pan to the cameras saying they don’t want people to leave is dystopian. I do find it funny how a lot of people pointing out how they don’t like 15 minute cities probably live in an American metro area that has terrible public transportation and alternative transportation methods.

  • If you can’t safely leave your neighborhood without a car, you already live in a prison. You have to pay a car company, an oil company, and a gas company just to go outside. The government can take your license away at any time. You have to wear an identification tag on your car at all times. You have to rely on the government for a spot to park your car every single time you want to leave your house.

  • “If everything a resident, citizen, or inhabitant of a municipality needs exists within a 15-minute walking or cycling distance, nobody would have bought a car (except everybody who needs to go to work, live, and be happy) to begin with!” This concept assumes that the 15-minute walkable distance is measured from where? The center of the circle, the radius, or the outskirts? Such an impractical and very very very very stupid notion would require dozens of mini cities within an actual city, which is physically impossible to create. Airports, metros, water treatment plants, schools, universities, hospitals, courts, police stations, theaters, cinemas, restaurants, bakeries, bodegas, supermarkets, table dance joints…etc…etc. These people have $#1T for brains!

  • So there is a trial run in Oxford for 2024. I just saw a article explanation of dividing it into districts and that you will be allowed 100 trips outside your district and after that fines will be implemented. It sounds like something out of China. The mayors of Edmonton & Calgary in Alberta Canada want to implement 15 minute cities, but their explanation was to make accessible stores, doctors, dentists etc within a 15 minute walk. Right now that is virtually impossible in Alberta, in the winter time, they see -30 to -36 some months. This would cause frostbite….not practical. It is as if, the world has been taken over by some brain eating amoeba….common sense has gone out the window. Like an episode of the old Alfred Hitchcock’s The Twilight Zone.

  • In my area the whole thing was done without proper consultation. Most people had absolutely no idea they were on their way. + only the richer, middle class roads have had the blockades put in (which has now only increase their homes value). I almost feel that in a decade, only the rich will be able to afford to drive their new electric cars, and they’ll drive them down all the unblockaded roads with poorer people on.

  • Love the way the piece ends. The final thing you see is a glaring red BBC screen with the command “Download the app” Information collection is not mentioned, of course. And the whole piece is defensive of overt methods of controlling citizenry but then the website IS owned by the government, isn’t it? Hmm

  • READ THEIR 15 min city Rules first!! They implied that “all you need is 15 minutes away, as if they know what you need,” if you read between the lines. This sentence can be changed to with. If it’s not 15 minutes, you no longer need it because WE decided that you will only be able to access a certain number of alternatives and nothing else. Don’t forget that all of your rights will be subject to limitations. The term “15 min.” denotes a maximum time limit of 15 minutes during which you must remain inside the doors. You would only be permitted to drive your automobile 25 times a year and would require a permission if you wanted to travel beyond the city.

  • I think you people need to look up definitions again because “conspiracy” is a REAL thing, “conspiracy theory” is just a theory (idea) of a conspiracy. So if a conspiracy THEORY is Proven to be true, it is no longer a theory but it IS a Conspiracy… meaning people CONSPIRED to make it happen. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Oh wait… maybe they are just CONFIRMING that it is a conspiracy. 😅

  • The fifteen minute city phemonomon is real. They told us to stop driving and to rely on public transport. The public transport services are TERMINATING lots of services. I live in Wincanton, Somerset. We only have two bus services. One to Street that takes a hour and a half, first leaves Wincanton at 9:15, last one back home from Street is 1:15. The second service is to Yeovil, first bus is 9:18 and the last bus back home from Yeovil is 6:45. They are both under threat of termination! If those bus services go and with the car ban slowly and steadily being put into place, Wincanton is the definition of a fifteen minute city. So, to whichever Broadcasting Bullshit Constantly (BBC) member who replies back to this comment, please tell how exactly this is just a conspiracy, when the events that are unfolding are saying otherwise.

  • I remember when the term “Conspiracy theory” was basically enjoyed by everyone and the phrase, “everyone enjoys a good conspiracy theory” was a thing people said. Now it’s become completely politicized and there is zero room for it not to be politicized. Frankly…..the politicizing of it has made me question what is going on even more and actually taking it as probably more truthful than the media lets on. Because…well…lets be honest…most of the things that were conspiracy theories 15 years ago, we are all finding out were true for the most part. I’m more likely to think the bbc is lying to me now and i’m probably right. Next they will get everyone used to this and then keep you in zone where you’re not allowed to leave. No 15 minute cities for me.

  • Many places in the world, such as Spain, have been living in so-called 15-minute cities for generations. Life is easier, more efficient and it works very well. Having more time in your life gives you quite a bit more freedom. It actually seems absurd to have to get into your car every time you need to leave your house.

  • How bloody sad…when someone’s opinion becomes mis and dis-information and conspiracies when the truth is represented and accepted negatively. Yeah. Let’s have a limit on times we can traverse an area and fines if we go over. I don’t like that. Call it what you like, but I don’t want restrictions. Bit too 1984 for my liking. Does that make me bad?

  • A hundred years ago we already had “15 minute cities”. Everywhere had a local cluster of shops and so on because the only transport was walking or an omnibus – or a taxicab, which most could not afford. Personal privately owned transport meant a horse. Yet there was no sinister plan to get rid of those. Cars proved immensely popular because they offered personal freedom of travel in comfort. People were happy to stop walking and going by bus everywhere, and who can blame them?

  • Great, make everything within a 15 minute radius pleasant, convenient and conducive to healthier individuals and communities. Sounds easy *cough. If it’s going to be so wonderful, why is it necessary to institute fines and tracking. Conspiracy is not necessary, it’s just an imbecilic and vapid idea when you engage with the reality of the resources available to achieve it. Normal people being arm barred into paying more for the same old crud. Ooh can I? How’s everyone doing so far, loving what the gov have done for hospitals, schools, railways, justice etc etc, but yeah, why not, I’m sure they can achieve a little slice of 15min heaven nationwide.

  • “Telling tourists/visitors that Oxford is not accessible and you cannot visit Oxford” well what about a tourist like me? I was just in the UK and I didn’t want to rent a car, designing civilization around cars is actually quite limiting. I got around multiple cities without needing or wanting to use a car, but (besides London) nowhere near as easily as I was able to get around Amsterdam without a car for example. Of course you can’t just jump from where things are today to a car free design, and the use of cameras and permits seems woefully heavy handed. The way to go is to start building in such a way that it encourages the use of alternative transport and discourages the use of cars, but literally fining people is bound to provoke this kind of response. I can understand the concern with such heavy handed policies like fines and permits, but the actual idea of you being able to access everything you need within a 15 minute walk or bike is wonderful. If people walked or biked more often then they would be healthier both mentally and physically, the environment would be healthier, and local businesses would also likely be stronger. These are all big wins.

  • “Potentially FINE people if they use it too often” WHO decides what is too many, from month to month I use my car differently and how the hell can you be fined for using a road for what it was built for. Using a road here or there, that person will be on A road either way. So how is that going to be environmentally friendly when the person, no matter what has to go from A to B…. Ridiculous idea. Money should be spent on better roads and improvement of car pollution and and not move people from one road to another, RIDICULOUS…. Go read the wording of the Oxford 15 minute city crap. Some people have to drive further and longer because of the rules, what happened to the environment? Ridiculous.

  • Many of us live in a 15 min city already, just haven’t noticed. If you have local shops, GP, school and pavements to walk on you’re pretty much there already, and maybe even chose to live there because of it. Don’t know why people are getting so upset. I was shocked at Katie Hopkins ignorance, I used to like that she spoke her mind, but to misunderstand this so badly makes me question her ability to report on anything important ☹️

  • No way. I do not consent to restriction of my life and travel, I’m not in prison… these people are cooked and so is BBC. As soon as we the people of the world stand together in the name of freedom, despite your thoughts on ANY other issue, we will see how this is supposed to work and that is that WE the people of the world are the MANY and these non elected whatever they may be are the FEW and they cannot control us and cannot take away our freedoms.. So stand strong, stand together and fight for freedom if nothing else x

  • In August 1961, East Germany commenced building a wall separating Berlin from the west. As the curious citizens did nothing about it and just watched, within two years the wall eventually became impenetrable, and they were trapped in the East. Back then, the excuse was to protect citizens from fascists and capitalism, and it was all for a “good cause”. Today, the excuse is climate change. The only difference now is that a physical wall is being replaced by more sophisticated electronic monitoring systems and our citizens will be regulated as to where, when, and how they can travel. The mere fact that mainstream media and governments are promoting this idea without allowing debate as they did in East Germany, should be a wake-up call to all the apathetic sheep out there.

  • If you liked this article without reading their rules you were lied to and mislead with clear mis-information, how so did they explain the rules, punishments, fines, limits to how far you can walk and bike, curfew, limit to car travel 100 times 1 year, which will be reduced to 25 times 1 year and you have to get a permit from the council, permits are also limted!

  • #FtMyersFlorida ? #Florida You know how the hurricanes have decimated areas tragically. They sure are building A LOT of beautiful GATED communities! So Heads up! Z Great Reset? The book? So you all question the head of the World Economic Forum? Maybe tell “it” that hes the one that speaks of this! He loves how China is doing such a great job! 🕊😎

  • So a city is broken up into areas where everything “they say” you’ll need is within a 15 minute walk or cycle ride..that sounds pretty interesting apart from what if a shop i frequent isn’t in that particular area or city, is it going to become illegal to travel to another city or outside my zone and i’ll have to rely purely on “by post”. What about fancying a day trip to the seaside or a theme park or a nature attraction like the Derbyshire Peak District. Will they be travel restrictions to said attractions if you can only afford to go by car as train fares are astronomical now

  • Government has always been and will remain to be about control. The government has no natural or legal ability to take away the natural rights that humans have. Your right to think and speak freely. Your right to move as you see fit. Etcetera. No government or poly-tick gave you these right so how can it take them away? The Jewish ghettos were also 15 minute cities.

  • One of the consequences of the last pandemic was the transfer of 100’s of billions of pounds/dollars from the poorer section of society to the richest section of society and the weaking of our rights and freedoms. The W.H.O are funded by billionairs and decide when a “pandemic” is declared?! Knowning human nature ..is there a conflict of interest….yes. The conflict of interest in this particular case, is how people are governed, tyranny or democracy?

  • I have known about this concept for two decades because it has been a long standing idea in the science of Urbanism AKA Urban Planning as an alternative to the huge mistake that city planners did when they listened to the idiot in chief Le Corbusier, a Swiss-French architect who was the most prominent of his time. Le Corbusier told politicians that cities should be organized in “districts by function” like a financial district, habitational district, etc. This created a lot of problems, like getting stuck in traffic because the entire city tries to drive from one point of the city to the same point of the city at the same time, from the housing district to the business district, at the same time, and this just clogs the roads, creating lots of stress and pollution. And this idea of Le Corbusier created the idea of zoning that is just plain dead stupid. Urban planners found neighborhoods around the world that had greatest quality of life even in the middle of chaotic cities like Mexico city. They found neighborhoods that were walkable and were a mixture of business and houses, you can google for “Colonia Condesa” from all these “digital nomads” that move to Mexico city and love this neighborhood. People can walk, drive, cab, bike everywhere within it, they have pharmacies, grocery stores, doctors, office buildings, parks, green areas, etc. Calling it 15 minute city doesn’t mean you are going to be required a passport, this is just ridiculous, not even the government would want that, because those that actually wanna control you, already are controlling you with your mobile phones and you still use them, you fools.

  • Isn’t the article is saying that the 15-minute-city and the traffic regulation are two separate things? They don’t need to be implemented together, and you can still oppose the traffic regulation while still supporting imoroved local infrastructure. I for sure don’t want to be tracked and fined, but I still want someone to build a grocery store within 15 mins walking distance.
