Does The Obama-Clinton-Soros Conspiracy Make Sense?

A pipe bomb was sent to the home of George Soros, a billionaire hedge-fund manager and global philanthropist. Rush Limbaugh accused Soros of “pulling the marionette strings” of President Barack Obama. Soros contributed over $25 million to Hillary Clinton during the 2016 campaign. Social media users have been sharing images online that make disparaging and false claims about Soros. After explosive devices were sent to prominent critics of President Donald Trump, including Barack and Michelle Obama, Bill and Hillary Clinton, and former CIA Director John Brennan, Soros has been the focus of right-wing anger and conspiracy-mongering.

The FBI said packages addressed to the Obamas, Clintons, Soros, Brennan, and Holder were all sent in yellow Manila envelopes and listed the same return date. A study by Zignal Labs found that unsubstantiated claims of involvement by Soros were one of three dominant themes in misinformation and conspiracy theories around Soros.

Suspicious packages reportedly contained functioning explosive devices were sent to the homes of President Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton. Conspiracy theorists accuse former hedge-fund manager George Soros of aiding Nazis, conspiring to fill Budapest with refugees, and trying to start a civil war.
