In a 2012 presidential debate, Mitt Romney claimed that it took President Barack Obama “14 days before” the Benghazi attacks. However, Obama did not call the attacks a conspiracy theory. President Donald Trump shared a conspiracy theory that falsely claims the Obama administration ordered Navy SEALs to be killed in order to cover up a failed deal with Iran to stage the death. President Obama said the May 8 House hearing on Benghazi and subsequent reporting produced no new information.
There are questions about whether the Obama administration misled the public when it initially claimed that the Benghazi attacks began “spontaneously” in response to an attack. Obama was correct that, in the day or two after the attacks, he did use phrasing such as “act of terror”, though it was vaguer than he implied in the debate.
A two-year investigation by the Republican-controlled House Intelligence Committee found that the CIA and military acted properly in responding to the attacks. Former Army Ranger Paronto, a former security contractor and author, repelled attacks on a nearby CIA annex and helped rescue more than 20 people.
Democrats call the conspiracy theory a right-wing conspiracy, but the fallout from the September 11, 2012, terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya, is not a conspiracy. The conspiracy refers to the “radical” stances in the past, such as the birth certificate of former President Obama.

The Obama admin hung out the guys in Benghazi to dry because Dems couldn’t face up to the political fallout from destabilizing the entire Middle East.
He hated us. Just look how he treated us on base in Hawaii. You’d think he would have loved being around us. Instead we couldn’t park at our Barracks or use the gym every morning so he could play basketball. He would ride through just to shut the base down instead of taking the other route that went right around to the new mansion he built in Lanikai. Cost 300,000 in tax money every time he rode through Honolulu that the state never gets reimbursed for.
