Has There Been A Death At Six Flags Magic Mountain Before?

Six Flags Magic Mountain has been the site of several fatalities, including eight teenage visitors trapped in the Haunted Castle attraction in 1984 and a man killed and his wife seriously injured in 1978. The park has also experienced accidents, such as a gondola car falling from its cable 50 feet to the ground on the Eagles Flight ride in 1978 and a 10-year-old girl losing consciousness on a Six Flags roller coaster in Southern California in 2006.

In addition to these incidents, the park has had the highest number of individual accidents resulting in fatalities, with seven incidents occurring between January 2001 and December 2006. In the summer of 2001, a woman with high blood pressure-related heart disease and a brain aneurysm died on the Goliath roller coaster. In 2006, a 10-year-old girl lost consciousness on a Six Flags roller coaster in Southern California and was airlifted to the hospital.

In addition to these incidents, the park has also experienced accidents at other attractions, such as the Ninja roller coaster derailing after hitting a tree, and the last person to lose their life at Six Flags Great Adventure in 1987. It is important to be aware of these incidents before visiting Six Flags Magic Mountain to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors.

  • Let me just make a quick point here. Disneyland has more deaths than magic mountain does. sure magic mountain doesnt have the most happy environment but they have one of the safest. Six flags always maintains their coasters and tests them every day inspected my mechanics daily before the opening of the park. The tree branch could have fallen on the ride from several feet above the track. Things happen in life, but you cant let those things persuade you from enjoying or living the rest of your life to its fullest.

  • awman gettin stuck on a coaster like that is like hitting the lottery. imagine all the sweet settlement goodies you’d get from six flags management in exchange for not suing. definitely a lifetime free membership for you+4, cash, and i’d have my lawyer ask for 10 life sized plastic/outdoor quality cutouts of the bald six flags guy as well so i can put them on my lawn. worth a lot more than your average 8 hours of work that’s for sure.

  • They should get sued. Six flags is the worst rollercoaster/theme park franchise because they dont have enough safety measures. Or educated workers. Who csres if the lady was too fat? One of the workers should have checked!!!! MOST, (if Not all) coaster accidents are from idiotic six flags companys. They dont have enough inspectors and they do not have enough people working. It doesnt matter how huge the coasters get, If you have people who check and inspect PROPERLY the rides and seats and evey little detail, it will be safe. Six flags gets rides that are half broken from other companys nd they try to patch them up. That, in itself, is horrifying. Go to some other parks that ACTUALLY regularly check up on their rides.

  • Kinda reminds me of when i rode the sizzler 2 years ago ( i have major back issues but can still ride rides) I was fine but then like a minute in i started screaming bloody murder screaming at the top of my lungs that i wanted off that i was hurting that i wanted my mom Screaming begging my mom to make him stop it My friend tried to comfort me And yelled at the guy to stop the ride but he refused When i got off my mom made sure i was okay then we went and complained I am always fine on rides But when someone is screaming like that you need to stop the ride im sorry i dont care what if that ride hurt me even more like come on That was the worst ride of my life And i was fine later on when i went on the tilt a whirl with my mom
