Also you can buy chocolates, wine, cakes etc for you to share with her during your time with her just make it known to Goddess Aphrodite that it’s to share with her while you communicate. You can also create oils, bath salts, perfumes etc that you can ask her to charge with her loving energy and then use these beauty products when you cleanse your body before going to spend time with her. I just started working with her because she reached out to me, and so far she has been very nice and gentle with me (because I am a minor, and I reminded her that). I’ve had a lot of problems with mental health recently so I am glad to be working with her. I just recently started working with her and I have my own bathroom (my husband and stepson have their own). I dedicated my entire bathroom to her, I had a strong pull in regards to that! Aphrodite is my patron goddess! I love her, I see her as a mother figure. My first offering for her was fancy looking lipstick. The day after I offered it to her, I was looking through my mom’s makeup, and I found an Aphrodite/Venus pallet! I took it and the colors are very lovely! Lady Aphrodite has also helped me with bullies and giving them karma. She enjoys music too! I play her Lana Del Ray. In my experience copper and pennies are a sign of her too 😀

Aphrodite came to me sooo fast 😅 I thought of her and next thing “yeah that’s my diety” and when I was an ignorant brat and decided to “test” if she was real or not she showed me big a Big Bang in my face and still continues to do that for the 1 thing I had asked for 😂😂 I feel closely to her, her energy makes sense to me and I feel like her energy really completes me in a lot of ways, especially my identity as a woman. i’ve worshipped aphrodite all my life but i only started working WITH her not too long ago, im financially lacking and in a nonsupportive household so her altar is my makeup vanity and she has an offering dish and a few candles atm, but i still offer her pearly/sparkly things, coins, etc..specifically i gave her a (probably) fake pearl bracelet recently, and today i visited my parents to get more of my things and they found a bunch of jewelry and there happened to be a pearly bracelet and earrings accompanied by a REAL pearl necklace. she basically said “tysm but you gotta wear some pearls too hun, advertise the brand”🤣👼

I just started to work with her and started my pagan journey but with me having to stay in the broom closet (I don’t know how my parents will react so I’ll wait to tell them once I can support myself with being a minor). I have a tiny portable altar for her and I feel like she understand that I have to keep this hidden to keep myself safe. She is starting to help me love myself and accept myself for what I look like. I feel like she understands that I can’t offer all the time to keep myself safe. Once I can I will get her a proper altar that will look beautiful.
I don’t believe in any deities. I’m a secular witch, but there are certain deities that I use for self help, with an almost placebo effect. Baphomet, Ganesha, Anubis, and Bast. But, lately I feel a connection to Aphrodite. I’ve done a lot of self reflecting on how I view romance and love, and I realized I need to learn to open up to love. I feel she is a perfect representation of that and I want to start using her image to help me get through these struggles. I also have a great love of the ocean. When I meditated I asked to see one of my dieties who want to work with me and I have been asking for more self love and beauty and relationship stuff. Anyways I saw waterfalls and some tall beautiful lady wearing white with long lucious blonde ish hair. I didn’t know who it was but they brought me to someone else. It was a man who looked a little familiar but was of course more masculine and we talked and it was interesting. After I finished meditating I realized I didn’t know who it was. And questioned it. Finally the name Adonis kept coming to mine and I looked it up and realized the two I saw were him and Aphrodite!! For a while I’ve had little things that I do and but that made me realize she’s calling out to me more and might be helping me!! This for sure just answered every question I had! Thank you!

Quick questions on offerings: how often do you leave offerings, and how do you dispose of them when they’re done? Things like incense and candles are easy enough to swap out, but offerings like flowers dry out, or food offerings like chocolates can sit there forever. I feel like I’m supposed to dispose of them in some special way but I’m not sure how. Also in regards to how often: I’ve been working with Aphrodite for a while now and generally burn some incense and say a short prayer daily. I can clearly feel her energy when I do it, but at times my words feel repetitive because I do it so often. I’ve considered scaling back to Friday offerings to make them feel more special, but I don’t want her to perceive it as a slight by comparison.

Aphrodite is quite well known for disliking any woman who is even remotely close to her own beauty. Don’t even say you are as good looking, or more than, her. She will curse you and you’ll likely end up in an incestuous relationship with your father… that will ultimately end up in suicide. As she did with Adonis’ Mother.

I see her as the embodiment of Divine Feminine energy and I try to website that energy through myself. I respect her and see her as her own Goddess but I also see a Goddess within myself at the same time and feel a very strong connection but it’s more like being a daughter of hers that I feel. Does that count as taking her name in vain?
I went thrifting to find stuff for a possible altar for Lord Apollon and Lady Aphrodite, and oh wow I felt so drawn to stuff I could possibly put on there for her. I was following my friend and for what it felt like my eyes all of the sudden went downwards and were met with a statue of her. The urge I felt to buy it was immense. Perhaps because I also really do like statues but I feel like she really wanted me to buy it ahaha. How very drawn I felt to stuff for her lowkey/highkey felt like a sign. Hi, I’m still fairly new to witchcraft and diety work. 👋🏼 But I felt a heavy pull towards Aphrodite and wanted to follow it. I’ve been making time to sit and talk with her regularly, but as I’m still “in the closet”, I find it difficult to keep an alter set out 24/7. I have twice weekly bath rituals, in which I set up my tray in honor of her, and set out whatever offerings I feel she might like for the time being. However, once my bath is over, I pack up the temporary alter until the next bath. Is this something that might offend her? I carey rose quarts on me regularly, buy roses once a month, and often burn vanilla incense for her. My hope is that she sees these as her offerings and understands my hesistation to let my friends/family know I’m practicing. Thanks in advance! I appreciate any sort of feedback.
i have a pink sands yankee candle, with a conch shell (pink on the inside) and a pink oyster lamp. i spread some heart shaped quartz and fake roses (i wanted real but oh well) I dont have a statue though. i dont have the space for an altar but im kinda making my room her altar. my room is super pink and has ocean stuff anyways.
I know her myths say that she punishes people who take her name in vein, buttttt, myths aren’t to be taken 100% literally, they are there mostly for lessens, the lessen here, like with many of the myths is to never put yourself above the gods, never, that is hubris.. I have asked Aphrodite to lend me to beauty on multiple occasions and she was fine with it, but never once did I call myself more beautiful, as that is a definite no no, and just plain disrespectful to her. Also with offerings, with my experience, she does LOVE offerings, but, she doesn’t demand them, give to her within your means, don’t go broke! Aphrodite though is like a mother to me, I love her dearly! Such a lovely Goddess!

ok so like…. i don’t have a statue and my parents are very religious so it’s very hard for me to work with deities. i set up my altar for aphrodite, and i think it looks really cute!!! instead of the statue i put a nice smelling candle and hopefully she accepts it. shells all around, opal, rose quartz, and rose calcite. i really hope she accepts it 😭☝️
Aphrodite’s voice sounds like music… I had some feathers and dropped them in a river and asked her for help with love with someone. I think she helped me but once I saw the larger picture I backed out of my initial plan. She was kind of upset but she hasn’t done anything against me. This is going to be a hella long comment, but if someone could help me decipher this I would be most grateful I’ve just recently started in my craft again, nothing major really. I started again after I realised that I had been doing glamour/beauty magick. I have been thinking on getting into deities, not so much working with them but more so just honouring them and learning about them. But last night something strange happened; I had just cleansed my space, my crystals etc. and had sat down to do a 5 minute positivity meditation with my pendulum because the day was very stressful for me and I had reacted very negatively to something. During this I had a black and white candle burning, both right next to each other. The flame on the black candle was completely fine, burning straight up, no flickering or anything. But the white candle- the flame was quite tall and flickering to the west (from where my altar sits, there was no wind, my window wasnt open, no draughts etc.), bare in mind I have not done any spells so this does not mean anything in regards to a spell. I had done a little research and found that it apparently means that someone is trying to contact you. I was a little scared, and while trying to figure out what to do my room and my self felt very cold. Bare in mind, my body temperature all day had been quite warm, and my window had be open during the day but when I had come home my room felt fine up until that point. I decided to use my pendulum to get some answers, did the basic pendulum questions first and then asked, “is there someone with me” “is there a deity or spiritual being with me” the pendulum answered yes, “are you a greek deity” it swung yes.

Okay for this altar thing.. I’m a minor that lives in a mostly Christian household so I don’t think I’ll be able to do it. The most I can do is collect seashells and buy candles. So should I just not work with Aphrodite until I can do the alter thing or is it ok to work with what I have? I really want to do this because Aphrodite and Eros have been calling out to me for a month now👁👁 (according to tarot readers here on YouTube) Suppose i use a little chest thing that I have so I can just close it and put it away when I’m out or something? I’ll say this, we are all reflections of God and Aphrodite doesn’t mind when I call myself her reincarnated. I think everyone is different and deities work with everyone differently and you shouldn’t scare people with what your experiences are. I’ll say everyone should get to know the deities on their own because your take is not going to be the same for everyone. She’s very different in my experience from what you say, not taking your experience away from you but it won’t be the truth for everyone else
I am the Greek mythology nerd. Aphrodite has made her mistakes. She has cheated on her husband many many times. But has also granted a lot of mortals wishes. She is still the goddess of love and beauty, she has her perks, but she not my favorite considering some of the bad choices she’s made. But Zeus is WAY worse. Did you know that to prevent his kid to be born, (the child was supposed to overthrow him) he ATE, you read that right ATE, his first wife Meitis. And the Greeks didn’t have a form of digestive systems, so she went to his head, and Athena the goddess of wisdom was born out of Zeuses head.
I’d hate to think that Aphrodite/Venus is so low and petty as to get offended by others comparing their beauty to hers. I mean yeah I agree that claiming to be her or even on a par with her is blatantly disrespectful but I don’t think occasionally comparing others to her is so terrible depending on the context and intention behind it. For example as a writer I occasionally find myself waxing poetic e.g. maybe referring to one of my fictional characters as Aphrodite-esque or as having Venusian eyes but I am by no means being literal or trying to offend the goddess on purpose. If anything I am trying to honor and flatter her in this way, by showing how much I admire her in even wanting to reference her in that way. I’ll give her a chance I guess but I’d hate to work with an entity I need to walk on eggshells around.

What is your view of the afterlife if you don’t mind me asking. I did a meditation ro meet my diety and Aphrodite came through in the most vivid and clear way. So i did the ask 3x and got yes all 3 times that it was Aphrodite. I also did the dream reveal request which leads to my question. I was taken to a war. Who in the war realm works with aphrodite or would that be another deity to work with when not calling on aphrodite? Is it possible that I’m actually working with freyja and odin instead? hey! if anyone knows the answer to this: i did a spell that specifically asked for aphrodite’s help and when it was done the wax had spilled over the two seashell’s and earring i left for her, but none of her other offerings. could this be that she is done with these offerings? or just a good sign? should i keep the wax on them? tysm!!!
