Historian Edward Guimont argues that the reptilian conspiracy theory, popularized by conspiracy theorist David Icke, is a result of earlier pseudohistorical legends developed during the colonization of Africa, particularly around Great Zimbabwe and the mokele-mbembe. The theory suggests that ancient shape-shifting reptilian humanoids with elaborate underground abodes work in the shadows to rule humanity, including via infiltrating various groups. The idea of shape-shifting lizards taking human forms in a plot to rule America and the world has become one of the most majestic and marvelous conspiracy theories created by mankind.
Thousands of years ago, reptilian beings from the constellations Orion, Sirius, and Draco intervened on planet Earth and began interbreeding with humans. However, some colonists believed the war was secretly occurring during the US War of Independence. The Reptilian conspiracy theory can activate unresolved memories of trauma and serve as a powerful tool for promoting conspiracy theories.
The deadly Capitol siege was fueled by far-out conspiracy theorists, including Ashli Babbitt, a QAnon supporter fatally killed. The Reptilian conspiracy theory alleges that shape-shifting reptilian aliens control Earth, sometimes referencing anti-Semitic texts. Belief in reptilians sometimes references anti-Semitic texts.
There is a lot of overlap between the lizard-people theory and other conspiracy theories, but the Reptilian conspiracy theory has a serious and anti-Semitic aspect. The concept of après-coup is used to explain the idea of reptilians exploiting humanity, and the Reptilian conspiracy theory highlights the importance of understanding and addressing the root causes of conspiracy theories.

📹 David Icke: Conspiracy of the Lizard Illuminati (Part 1/2)
Conspiracy theorist David Icke takes us to a local satanic execution site and discusses the plot of the secret lizard illuminati.
Gotta love the use of Apophis’ serpent guard (enslaved humans, bred to be subservient to a Goa’uld, a parasitic alien with a somewhat serpent-like appearance, pretending to be a god through the implantation of the larval form of the Goa’uld into an abdominal pouch, and subsequent elimination of the human’s immune system, making them reliant on the larval Goa’uld to live, but gifting them with long life and health) in the thumbnail.
“V” the original 1983 mini series also have the reptilian alien angle. Kenneth Johnson (the creator) has been contacted by conspiracy theorists asking how he knew before everyone else that reptiles are trying to take over… Ironically, V is inspired by Sinclair Lewis’ novel, “It Can’t Happen Here” from 1935. Oh, and there’s that Doctor Who episode, as well as Howard’s work.
When I had a drug problem some years ago I ended up spending some time in jail. There was a woman there who was convinced there were many different types of humanoid shapeshifters. I was always nice to her and one day she looked me dead in the eye and said “You’re the kindest Draconian girl I’ve ever met.” I asked what that was and she smiled and said “Oh come on I know you’re a lizard” 😅 I just said thank you and kept it moving 😂 over 6 years sober these days.
I always thought it was a metaphor for people who lack empathy. People disconnected by wealth, workaholics, sadists with a social outlet etc. Cold people who are good at pretending to be warm. Driven people with an agenda. A long plan that costs them a portion of what they call humanity. Misers. It’s always more complicated than that because everyone calls everyone else a narcissist.
In bulgarian folklore we have allot of stories about lizard people, who are living underground. Once in a while some of them are shapeshifting and looking for a bride. We have stories about Krali Marko, who is a son of a lizard man and human woman. The hero have super human strength and is helping people. This lizard people conspiracy is just reinvented old folklore.
I have a lizard friend. She was just a little baby when i learned that, after coming back from the chicken coup id take my slippers off at the back door, but because of chicken poo, flies would gather around them, and then the lizard would come over for the flies to eat them. So I’d intentionally step in fresh poo while out there, carefully walk back and place my slippers nearer to the wood pile where the lizard lived at the time so she could hunt the flies closer to the safety of her home. Id pour water on the ground near her, and she’d come drink it, ravenously, when thirsty but she doesnt always drink water, especially if she just had some the day prior. I eventually began feeding her freeze-dried meal worms and can now feed her by hand even tho she lives outside and is completely wild. She disappeared over winter, hiding from the cold, then came back out when it warmed up and she was slightly larger than before since she was growing. She was about 3 inches long when i first really began interacting with her, and shes now about 6 or 7 inches from tip of her nose to the tip of her tail (i keep saying “she” because the sexual dimorphism between males and females is very distinct with the males being larger and very colorful on their heads, but she is smaller and no coloration, so, female) and she’s nice and healthy from getting fed and watered basically whenever she wants. Everyday now, at sunset, i go to the larger wood pile she lives in now and tap on it and call “lizard friend?
Mark 16:15-16 King James Version 15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. Revelation 5:13 King James Version 13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
Still doesn’t say where the origin or ideas of the lizard people came from. We all know it didn’t start with the one guy you went into about that wrote a bunch of books. I was expecting something way older, like the Sumerian Texts or something along those lines. Where did people get the idea that these lizard folk feed off our energy? Where did the concept of talking lizards come from? You didn’t even mention the Bible, as that is technically a source of talking lizards folk, but of course can’t be the only one. Disappointing.
“apparently the lizard people knew their little corner of the Galaxy would look vaguely like a serpent from Earth when connecting the dots during a certain part of Earth’s history and so went ahead and spent millions of years evolving appropriately on their home” that’s what you call, playing the long game. hehe
Area 51 wasnt mentioned in 1948 because Area 51 didn’t exist yet. The base is part of the Nellis Air Force Gunnery and Bombing Range, which wasnt established until the end of 1950. A small airfield existed there since 1940, but the security lockdown didnt happen until it was picked to host development of the U-2 in 1955.
My dad’s friend saw one pretty recently. 10 foot tall with a tail and humanoid features. I can’t see the reason why he would lie. And if one you guys say where’s article proof just imagine this thing in your own back yard would you actually risk your own life to record? You would be dead and your death would be a mystery but god knows how you went out. Stay away from any forest is all I can say.
I like how dishonest the title is, stating that is automatically a “conspiracy theory”… because if they or if they do not exist, isn’t a conspiracy at all, its just a word that people use in order to discredit people, even if you’re a detective and doing real detective work and that is biased and misleading right away. Block website.
Well theres Robert E Howard’s 1920s story: The Shadow Kingdom. That is the statt of the popular culture rise in popularity. However it is speculated he got the idea from existing cultist books from the previous century. And there is an incredible statue of a man with a snake head discoverd in a monolythic structure, an architecture from before the bronze age. Discovered by archeoligists in the 2010s
As a resident of Las Vegas for many years and having a close personal relative who worked there. It is actually much more secretive than that. Employees are ushered into windowless buildings for work. Secondly, you aren’t reading up on your Roswell ‘law’. It was taken to Edward’s Airforce base. Not Roswell. Have you read anything on the Roswell incident? It’s well acknowledged that something happened there? Haven’t seen the breakdown of the letter Marcel held in his hand for the news photograph knowing somehow it could be read decades later? It’s all pretty convincing stuff.
every time I listen to things like this I can’t help but think that RPGs aren’t as much of a modern invention as people think, and the time people take to world build and put backstory to their D&D characters is not new. World building being somekind of hobby horse that has been going on for eons even if the format has changed some.
I wonder how many people actually believe this. The flaw in online polls is that there are people out there that think that it’s clever and funny to pretend that they believe something that’s completely idiotic. It’s like that poll that was taken a while ago about the flat earthers that offered a third option. Do you believe the earth is flat? Check one box: __Yes ___ No __ No, but when I’m online sometimes I pretend that I do
You can’t give the Area 51 concept a fair shake until you’ve heard Bob Lazar’s testimony about working there under contract. Joe Rogan had him on and he gave a good interview but there are plenty of interviews online with him. His story has been consistent, he’s a very educated guy and claims that he was hired to reverse engineer an engine from a recovered saucer of non-human origin which worked on a controlled loop of magnets, capable of shifting a localized center of gravity to propel the craft directionally without an exothermic reaction. He claims he saw several saucers there. I don’t believe in Icke, but I do believe Lazar.
Regarding the Area 51 thing, the thing that was always the funniest to me is that if you want to keep something secret, pretending to keep something else secret as a distraction is a fantastic way to do it. Got some top secret (but very man made) military aircraft you are testing? Start acting shady and suspicious when people bring up aliens and UFO’s and make it look like you’re doing a really bad job of covering that up. Not only will people have no idea what’s actually going on, but if they happen to see anything they’ll be conditioned to describe it as something completely different. There’s few better ways to hide something in plain sight than to twist the context to make it look like something it’s not, especially if that something is more interesting than the truth. We humans have a really bad habit of preferring the fantastical imaginary scenario’s we make up in our heads over reality. Whatever makes for the better story will emotionally resonate with us and we’ll be inclined to believe it out of preference and attachment. The truth about Area 51 is a lot more boring than the narrative around Aliens, so it’s very easy to reject it.
Harry Turtledove wrote a novel set during WW2. I can’t recall the name, but it starts out like a regular WW2 novel. the allied fighter pilots dodge “Foo Fighters” that turn out to be scouts from a civilization of lizard people. The humans fighting each other soon realize they have a much bigger enemy to deal with. It’s a lengthy series about how the humans and lizard people end up……..No Spoilers here!
Why are you explaining Area 51 when they themselves do not? It is NOT a ho hum base it’s a black site with no oversight and no knowledge coming out. It’s about as big of a wrong as you can get, doesn’t matter what’s going on there. Why you would downplay this crime is beyond me. You’d probably tell Minas tirith that orcs aren’t that bad if you were in that book. It’s not like the pres get an Area 51 briefing. He is many steps below clearance for it. We do not even know who runs what goes on there. It is at worst an Uber power mafia base. By LOGIC.
Overall, I think it’s a good report; the background is very interesting, showing a good level of reserach; but, I think you are incorrect by implying Lovecraft in it. I’m sure he is responsible for some crazyness; but the lizard people? He did include some extraterrestrial entity in his stories. But the weird part is the fishmen from Innsmouth… no lizard invoolved…
For a good laugh, watch climate disaster movies and realize NONE of it has come true. Watch Zero Population Growth, available for free on the Internet. Watch 2012. Did those predictions come true? What about Day After Tomorrow? Soylent Green? An Inconvenient Truth? 2012? 2012: Ice Age? The population bomb by Paul R Ehrlich?
Hold on…..lets not discount Trump being a shape shifting reptoid. I mean that would explain his really crappy paint job and hair. And to be fair republican starts with rep…..and everything they are doing is counter to the betterment of humankind. Including destroying or dismantling the EPA. So really. Is it really that unrealistic? . . . . Yes I’m kidding.
I know people by their website names. So when you said “Simon Whistler” and posted Michael from VSauce, or as I know him in my brain “VSauce guy,” I immediately though VSauce guy’s real name must be Simon Whister. I google Simon Whister and I get a picture of you. And “haha, I get it, funny, you both have shorn heads and beards.” Then I realize that dude’s name is Michael, he says it every article. I tell this story as a way of explaining that the human brain is dumb. Was the picture of “Katy Perry” also Zooey Deschanel, too?
No survey of the history of the popularity of the ‘Lizard People Conspiracy’ can omit Kenneth Johnson’s TV mini-series, ‘V’ in which alien visitors who appear human and benevolent are revealed to be evil Lizard People in disguise. Even people who don’t remember much about the series probably still have vague memories of the ‘human’ visitors chowing down on small rodents. It’s a little like the way alien-abduction stories are reminiscent of the 1950s kids’ movie, ‘Invaders From Mars’, which had many striking nightmarish images (oddly, the more surreal because it was made on a minuscule budget) that recur in such stories, likely half-remembered from the film seen as a child.
11:50 All together now, ” He’s NOT The Messiah, he’s a very naughty boy!” R E. Howard’s, lizard men actually started out as a metaphor. Referring to the court of the biblical King Saul, he described his duplicitous ministers as having purely metaphorical reptilian faces which they wore beneath their acquiescent smiles Only later did he take this as an idea of prehistoric reptiles evolving into sentience only to be displaced by humans and then having to infiltrate human society.
I heard, that while Area 51/Groom lake was originally a secret military installation, (that did build and test secret military equipment) that once satellites (private and foreign govt) gained the ability to see it, that our govt created a new “Area 51” type base (somewhere in the Colorado mountains). True or not, at that point, the US govt (a certain alphabet agency) decided to run with it and stoke the conspiracies in order to keep the focus of anyone interested on that site and not the new top secret military base. 🤷🏻♂️ Like a wise old friend said once, “If YOU figured out an actual govt conspiracy either, 1. They would silence you one way or another 2. It was created by said conspiratorial group to shift focus on it instead of something else. Either way, you ARE NOT going to like the outcome”.
That one is actually pretty old. Edgar Rice Burroughs and Robert E. Howard both had reptile people in their literary creations. The ‘Horribs’ for Burroughs and the snake men of Howard’s Kull and Conan. It received new life when someone proposed that Troodon might have evolved if conditions had been right.
Oof dropped the ball on Bob Lazar there, go do some research, it was found by actual journalists that there was in fact some scrubbing going on to make him a “none person”. When all records are wiped of a person’s history to attack credibility. In fact the company he worked for that he stated they were contracted to work at A51, that company said he never worked for them. But when the journalist went to dig into records that would have been overlooked during scrubbing, it was found that he did in fact work for that company. So the company was blatantly lying. Also if you want some insight into Bob, go check out his hydrogen car he made. It runs of hydrogen, the crazy part is, to make his own hydrogen, he built a particle collider on his property, crazy stuff. a Journalist interviewed him and he showed the journalist his setup.
What is it about reptiles, especially snakes, that these are the most common entities that people “meet” when they’re taking hallucinogenic drugs? This has been reported throughout history, and by most cultures. Why not wolves, or lions, or eagles, or anything else? And why have cultures with human sacrifice used serpent imagery in their religious art, and hallucinogenic drugs for religious purposes? If it’s a coincidence, why these 3 specific elements, and why so widespread?
It’s sorta weird that the fictional Sword and Sorcery Serpent-Men from Kull and Conan fame by Robert E. Howard are more realistically mentioned to be an intelligent species that evolved with the dinosaurs before us and as such are our evolutionary prototype and despuve that the newcpmer apes usurped them before the rise of Atlantis.
You got one data point backward According to the people who believe in the reptilians from the constellation Draco, they believe that we created the idea of dragons and associated the Constellation with the shape because of the beings that came from that constellation So what you said would be akin to arguing that we named the common blackbird after the SR-71 Blackbird. Your assessment of their timeline is reversed
