Good Omens is a TV series based on Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett’s novel, featuring Michael Sheen and David Tennant as angel Aziraphale and demon Crowley who try to stop the Apocalypse. The series has two seasons, with Season 2 premiering on July 28, 2023, on Prime Video. The series follows the unlikely duo of fussy angel Aziraphale and loose-living demon Crowley, who have become overly fond of life on Earth.
The series premiered on Amazon Prime Video on May 31, 2019, and aired weekly on BBC Two between January 15 and February 19, 2020. The show has a strong foundation and a genius motif, with the angel and demon working together to prevent Adam and the Four Horsemen from beginning the apocalypse.
The series has been praised for its strong chemistry and the genius idea of the motif. However, at only six episodes, it may have benefitted from being a little less faithful to the book. The book is a comedy about the birth of the son of Satan and the coming of the End Times, with attempts by the angel Aziraphale and the demon Crowley to stop the apocalypse.
In the upcoming season 3, Crowley and Aziraphale will be back, and Neil Gaiman has already announced exciting updates about the final season. The series continues the adventure of an angel and a demon after stopping the End Times in Season 1.
