I’m perusal tarot readings like for a straight year and I do it because it gives me some psychological comfort and relief in difficult times. But basically it’s just a balloon of emtpy air and pipe dreams. Empty promises. I guess people need to hear what they wanna hear. And those tarot readers need to make money too,you know subscribers(hence always the suggestion of pushing the subscribe button, hit that like and bell buttons, etc.). These articles shouldn’t be taken seriously. And the most obvious thing is that they always get away with “this reading is a general reading and may not be for anyone, so please leave what is not for you etc etc.”
The problem with tarot readers is not only that we hand over all of our personal power to them, we allow them to exploit very vulnerable people – people who very likely have fallen upon hard times, are experiencing problems in their life and have a deep need for guidance and direction. Another issue is the fact that every single tarot reader has their own subjective interpretation of each tarot card. That’s why every tarot reader will give a different reading even when you see monthly readings by different people that are so extremely varied and totally oppose each other. Surely, if there were any otherworldly or magical forces at play these would at least have some consistency. I now believe it’s all BS! 💩

I’ve been laid up with a disability for 2 years now. 18 months of being bored and broke with nothing to do led me to tarot readers. What happened was lot of tarot readers helped me to process my emotions and made me feel better. However, many other readers had me all up in my own head way too much and it was giving me anxiety and depression. What I’ve learned to do is use it. If I need to get in touch with my emotions I watch a tarot reading and hash them out. I’m an Aquarian with a Cancer Moon. Sometimes I need a little help with logically processing all of my emotions and right now these readings help. But just like everything else in this life, moderation is key.

I didn’t interpret the card readings that way. If the card reader was talking about things I was actually experiencing at the moment, then yeah it resonated and I just listened to the advice. not everything is going to apply to everyone. Obviously, we have to take responsibility for ourselves. Some card readers are great at giving advice and that’s what I take with me, but nobody has your future in their hands. You can always change your path.
Yes I agree with you 100%. The old analogy of “feed a man a fish, feed him for a day, teach him how to fish and feed him for life” is exactly what I believe should be the outcome we strive for. Now having said that, it takes dedication to that mind set, it is a lot of hard work and not an easy accomplishment. When I got readings I would really think things over on how I could change what was told to me or how I should respond or what I should do. I never wanted to settle for what I was told. I totally feel ya on this. I got into tarot solely to understand myself better. I do occasionally watch readings…when I need clarity. For ex’s: 1. How I feel about a situation/person in order to work thru & process my emotions (something I know I tend to ignore or bottle up) 2) Feel the universe is trying to show/give me a msg but, don’t think I’m getting or understanding it correctly. 3.
