This video provides a DIY guide on replacing the base and blade gear of your Magic Bullet blender. The plastic and rubber gear wear down quickly, making it easy to replace them. The video shows how to remove the plastic gear from the base and install a new one using a flathead screwdriver and slip joint pliers. To remove the blade gear, turn the Magic Bullet on its side and use a flat tip screw driver on the bottom end and the pliers on the base gear. Turn the blade gear in the clockwise direction to remove it off the shaft. The package includes one motor base gear replacement and one rubber blade gear replacement. To replace the motor base gear, insert a flathead screwdriver into the slit at the bottom of the device while holding the pliers in place gripped on the gear. Remove the base plate and wiggle the plastic fan off the shaft of the screw head.
The video also discusses researching alternatives to Magic Bullet blenders, such as Vitamixes and Ninjas, for longer-lasting replacements. The video concludes by recommending the Magic Bullet MB1001B base gear and blade gear replacement part.

You make it look so easy… Well, my Magic bullet is OLD. I bought the base gear at eBay. The plastic part in the original piece broke. I saw a article somewhere – similar to yours – but it showed how to unscrew the METAL part. I just tried to do it and it was too hard to hold it while turning the metal part counterclockwise. I don’t have the TESTOSTERONE to help me fix it. LOL! So much for DYI. :o)
