This step-by-step guide explains how to use peel-and-stick caulk, an adhesive-backed strip that can be applied over existing caulk or directly onto surfaces to create a watertight seal. These strips are typically made of flexible materials like PVC or silicone. Magic’s Peel 8 Stick Caulk is an easy alternative to traditional caulk, designed to create a tight seal between the bathtub and floor to keep moisture out. It is easy to apply and stick to the surface, even over existing caulk. The molded-in score line ensures uniform positioning against the surface.
Magic Bath Tub and Floor Peel and Stick Caulk is pre-shaped, flexible trim with pre-applied butyl adhesive. Simply peel and stick to the surface, even over existing caulk. The molded-in score line assures uniform positioning. Starting in the corner, peel a small section of the backing from the top half of the strip and press the top half firmly to the tub. Press the bottom half of the strip firmly against the tub to complete installation. Repeat the process for shorter strips of caulk.
After 12 hours, the adhesive strip will harden over time, but the top caulk strip will stay as it is. To ensure proper sealing, cut triangles out of the strip with a razor knife. Real caulk is recommended for longer durability, and painters tape around the corners can make clean-up easier. Magic Tape Caulk provides a flush seal without the usual mess of caulking.

📹 Magic Caulk for tubs, Does it really work??
I installed some Magic Caulk around a tub today, it was hard to get it to fit around the curves. See what you think!
Thanks for the article! I bought this being hopeful. I have to remove the caulk job I did because.. it turned out terrible. I honestly don’t like the way this looks though. Oddly, my Magic Peel & Stick Caulk “Tub and Wall” appears to be roughly half the width of what is shown in this article. Still, there is a gap between the adhesive and the top of the rubber material which I can’t imagine would be good long term.
I dont get it. If the caulk is the sticky, tan colored stuff on the one side, what is the plastic or rubber white part for? I get pull the clear film side off, stick to surface, then what? Leave the white part on? That really isnt caulking then, its just gluing the white part down. Im returning this.
I got the caulking tape for my toilet. It helps a lot when you see somebody do it first. This article was helpful. I was procrastinating all day. I didn’t want to go through issues. But suddenly, I just did it. It went great!! Only on the round curbs was challenging. Hope it doesn’t unglue. The hubby put the caulking glue a bit messy as time went by it gathered dirt and just was bad looking. When I got it, he said, ” it was my deal” 😅. Let’s see how well this goes spending the money!!
