In astrology, the Vertex and Anti-Vertex (VX, AVX) are fictional points that represent two intersections of the Ecliptic and the Prime vertical. In astrology, the Vertex is considered an auxiliary Descendant and requires accurate birth details. Most astrology software programs offer the option to calculate the vertex in the chart, while to find the Vertex by hand, calculate the Ascendant at your co-latitude. The Ascendant at 90 degrees, minus your latitude, is the Ascendant at 90 degrees, minus your latitude.
To determine your Vertex sign, you need to know your birth time, as it is just as time-sensitive as the Ascendant. To calculate the Vertex, pull up a copy of your natal chart and look for the letters “VERTE” in the right half of the chart, in the Fifth – Eighth Houses. Look for the Vx symbol, which will be located between the 5th and 8th houses, and have a zodiac sign that rules this house.
To find the Vertex by hand, calculate the Ascendant at your co-latitude, which is the Ascendant at 90 degrees, minus your latitude. The Vertex is a point located in the western hemisphere of a chart that represents the intersection of the ecliptic and the prime vertical.

What is the rule to find the vertex?
The vertex formula is a mathematical tool used to determine the vertex coordinate of a parabola when the graph crosses its axes of symmetry. It is represented by (h, k) = (-b/2a, -D/4a), where D = b2-4ac. The standard equation of a parabola is y=ax 2 +bx+c, with the vertex at the bottom of the U-shaped curve if the coefficient of x 2 is positive and at the top if it is negative. This article will provide an in-depth understanding of the standard form and vertex form of a parabola, its vertex formula, and examples.
How do we find vertex?
The formula for determining the vertex on the y-axis is h = -b/2a, derived from the standard equation y = ax2 + bx + c, where h represents the x-coordinate and k represents the y-coordinate. An alternative formula is provided as h = (-b/2a, -D/4a), derived from the standard equation y = ax 2 + bx + c, where D represents the distance from the vertex.
Where is vx in my chart?
The astrological vertex in a birth chart is typically located in the fifth, sixth, seventh, or eighth house, represented by a symbol like “Vx”. This placement reflects the type of interaction and connection with others. The left side of a birth chart reflects the core self and individual matters, while the right side relates to public-facing arenas and how you interact with others. The ascendant, or rising sign, falls on the left side, reflecting the face you present to the world, according to astrologer Rachel Lang. The placement of the astrological vertex in each hemisphere of a birth chart reflects a specific aspect of interaction and connection with others.
How do you activate the vertex in astrology?
The astrological vertex, an imaginary point in our charts, is usually dormant until triggered by a natal or transiting planet. It requires something reflecting or holding light against it to activate it. In some cases, the activating force can come from someone else in our space, such as a person whose sun, moon, or ascendant conjunct are in the same sign or house as our vertex. This relationship can feel fated and create an instant connection.
To interpret our vertex in astrology, we can note current planetary transits to these regions and any fated happenings during those transits. The house placement of our vertex can also provide clues about the kind of fated events we may draw towards us.
How do I find vertex in calculator?
In order to locate the minimum or vertex, it is necessary to navigate to the second trace, then press the down arrow key until the word “minimum” is reached, after which the minimum can be found.
What is the luckiest aspect in astrology?
Trines are favorable aspects in astrology, occurring between planets approximately four zodiac signs apart (or 120 degrees). These planets are usually situated in the same element (fire, earth, air, or water) and create a gentle union distinguished by ease and fluidity. When they sync, these planets understand each other, allowing for easy movement with little external effort. However, too much trining can lead to problems, such as laziness and complacency.
The most notorious aspect is the square, which occurs between planets approximately three zodiac signs apart (or form 90-degree angle in the sky from our vantage point). These planets are usually situated within the same modality (cardinal signs), fixed signs, and mutable signs. Squares are considered hard aspects, creating tension and dividing intentions, leading to emotional or logistical roadblocks. Despite this friction, squares always catalyze action. They are considered motion-oriented, enabling us to easily identify issues and address them rather than sweeping them under the rug.
For example, when Mars (all about spontaneous motivation) and Saturn (all about rules and regulations) square, we may feel that our passions are being dampened by our responsibilities. However, this aspect also creates an opportunity to slow down and become a true master at our craft through refinement, hard work, and strategic planning.
To identify the zodiac signs that are always squaring each other, use the following list: Aries, Leo, Sagittarius (fire), Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn (earth), Gemini, Libra, Aquarius (air), Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces (water).
What is the formula for vertex?
The vertex form of a parabola is y = a(x-h)2 + k, which is determined by the vertex formula in mathematics. The vertex point is typically represented by (h, k). The standard equation for a parabola is y=ax 2 +bx+c, with positive coefficients indicating the vertex at the bottom of the U-shaped curve and negative coefficients indicating the vertex at the top. This article will provide an in-depth understanding of the standard form and vertex form of a parabola, vertex formula, and examples.
How to find vertex house?
This post explains how to find the Vertex in a birth chart by looking for the letters “VERTE” in the right half of the chart in the Fifth – Eighth Houses. It has been updated to include more information about activating the Vertex, including links to free chart generators and instructions for discovering if it has been activated before. The post also mentions a post about when the Vertex was struck by an eclipse in 2021, but it hasn’t been cleaned up or updated in years. The post is a re-publication of a previous post on the topic.
What is the way to find vertex?
The number displayed here is positive k, as is the number displayed there. Therefore, there is no need to switch the number.
How is the vertex calculated?
The equation y = ax2 + bx + c can be solved by calculating the x-coordinate of the vertex, -b/2a, and then substituting the value of -b/2a into the equation for x, which allows the solution for y to be determined.
What is your vertex in astrology?
As a predictive astrologer, the Vertex is a unique point in our charts that reveals the possibility of fate. It is not a planet, asteroid, or celestial body but rather the intersection of the ecliptic and prime vertical points. Fate can come in various ways, often not being immediately apparent. This is particularly true in relationships, where the Vertex plays a crucial role in determining the fate of two lovers.
It is rare to see planetary connections, such as the Moon, Venus, and Mars, being made to each person’s Vertex, and the exact time of birth is necessary to fully understand this connection. In conclusion, the Vertex is a crucial component in understanding the potential for fate in relationships.

I think that there are certain milestones or events in life that were already planned to happen before we were born or picking this life we are living. Sometimes I don’t really believe in free will as the way most understand it to be. I also think that every single moment in life was already planned out as well. There are just too many daily dejavú moments and other indescribable events that happen for me to not think my life was already planned out.
If you have fully raised Kundalini Shakti you have free Will, if not generally speaking you have not. In a sense you might say you can control the effects of Astrology by changing location and timing, and that is true. But whether you actually do or not is clearly dictated by the Natal Chart. For most, real free Will is a wonderful fantasy, but it’s just that. We are all here to fulfil specific purposes, whether we like it or not.
it’s interesting that i’m pieces with saggitarius acsendant and found a article where you have them both on the wall 🙂 do you also look at synastry? we have vertex, lilith, north node and chiron conj aspects with each other and my sun – neither of us understands what’s going on but we don’t seem to be able to stop it
Aloha oh I do not know if you ever see this because today’s date is May 20, 2022 my request to you is please God please do not say you know you know it’s so obnoxious and draining to hear the important vital information that you are bestowing on us and it’s a overcoming yes most everybody is absolutely obnoxious with this you know please I need this from your important wisdom sharing thank you Aloha 🌺🌺🌺
MY upcoming solar return ascendant is EXACTLY on my natal vertex, (my natal anti vertex is conjunct my natal moon also BTW) . I have read that this happens often when people die ! What is your take? The rest of the SR points more to a relationship with venus, sun, mercury and mars in the SR 7th, woth venus and mars within a few degrees of natal.
In my solar return for this year (’21/22), my vertex (in Libra) is being transited by the ASC, Moon, Venus & Mercury in the 7th house. By some weird hand of fate, I met a Libra sun guy who I am now romantically interested in. To this day, I don’t understand why I’m attracted to him and if this could do with fate – though the astrology begs to differ LMAO.
i have my vertex and nn in leo both in the 7th house and my vertex is trine jupiter and other aspects i dont remember. i have artistic persuits im planning to start going after this month. would that make the road easier when it comes to recognition? my north node is quintile my sun and trine pluto, from what i remember there was more.. according to astro.com but not astrotheme. i also have my venus in there which has to do with my artistic persuits so i guess that would make things easier. im thinking of getting a chart reading 🙂
