In Arcane Odyssey, players begin with a magic of their choice, but they are given descriptions of each magic without any details such as stats or names. To change magic, players must complete the initial quest and talk to the NPC on the island they wash up on. Once they receive their first awakening, they can choose their second magic.

Magic is one of the four primary methods of combat in Arcane Odyssey, along with Fighting Styles, Weapons, and Spirit Weapons.
