To change the batteries on an Apple Magic Mouse, follow these steps:
- Remove the back cover of the mouse.
- Dispose of the dead AA batteries and dispose of them properly.
- Insert two new AA batteries into the battery compartment cover.
- Place the back cover back on the mouse.
- Heat the mouse in the oven to 50 degrees Celsius to remove the battery without damaging the housing.
- Use adhesive strips to secure the batteries in place.
- Check the battery percentage and save the changes.
If your mouse uses replaceable batteries, you will receive a warning when the batteries are running low. Replace all of them at the same time.
To open up your Magic Mouse for battery replacement, follow these steps:
- Flip the mouse over and turn it off by pushing down the on/off switch.
- Push the oblong black tab on the bottom of the mouse to remove the battery cover.
- Replace the batteries.
If your Magic Mouse has a ribbon cable, follow these steps:
- Remove the battery compartment cover, then insert the new batteries.
- Reattach the ribbon cable.
- Close the mouse and wait for the battery to charge before replacing the batteries.
