How To Create A Basic Amulet Bag Using Beads?

This tutorial teaches you how to make a beaded bag with seed beads that can be worn as an amulet necklace. The process involves gathering all the necessary materials, including beads, thread, and tools. The right angle weave is used to form the base of the bag, and the design is expanded by adding additional rows and incorporating DiscDuo and RounDuo beads. Crystal bicone beads are used for sparkle.

To create the bag, you will need to gather all the necessary materials, such as 11/0 seed beads, thread, and tools. The pattern is a small purse-like amulet bag, and you will learn how to create multi rows of right-angle weave. The beads are slipped on both sides of the bag, and the pattern is easy to follow.

To create the bag, you will need a long length of thread or string, thread your needle, and string 4 beads. Start by picking up an odd number of beads and continue adding beads, stitching around the outside of the shape, up one side, and finally, the bag is ready to be worn as an amulet necklace. This tutorial is perfect for beginners and can be found on the Bead Spider and Beaded Amulet Bag tutorials.

  • If someone wants to try this I have a great advice, don’t use elastic cord because in my case one of the beads wasn’t big enough for it to pass and I pulled so much that the cord pulled back and the needle pierced my fingernail so, don’t ever use elastic cord, but before that happened it was looking good so I think the final result would also be cute. ( I gave up btw)

  • Mathew, I adore this pattern. I am going to make it larger to fit my phone. You have such great ideas and you are an excellent instructor. Thank you so much for sharing your talent. I have taught locally, so I know how much work goes into teaching a beading class. Stay safe. I appreciate you so much.
