Wax poppets are a unique and versatile alternative to fabric-based poppets, offering a unique and versatile way to create magical objects. To make a wax poppet, melt your preferred color of wax and pour it into a poppet-shaped mold. As the wax cools and solidifies, you can carve or inscribe symbols, names, or intentions directly onto the surface.
Choosing the material with which to make the doll is as important as choosing the intention. A wax spell doll can be made out of cloth, clay, wood, wax, or other materials. It can be filled with herbs consistent to the purpose of the spell and a wand. Stuffing with a few herbs might do this poppet well, but making the poppet out of wax or clay might be best for binding the target from doing harm.
When working with fabric, the color can help to amplify your spell. Green for money-related spells and good luck, yellow for success, pinks and reds for romance and love spells, and white for protection and peace. To create a wax poppet, melt down candles, let it cool, then shape it. If working with cloth, cut out two identical shapes and sew them together, leaving a small gap.
Poppet construction can be as simple or elaborate as you like, depending on how much time and effort you put into it. You can make a simple poppet from a potato or twine tied together, up to detailed material poppets with hair and glass eyes. Choose your materials based on your intentions and create a unique and custom piece for your altars, shrines, and tools shops.

Question though I’m not sure you’re still responding to this article lol. I have a skull I was using as a poppet. However, I followed the instructions of an absolute charlatan and loaded the bottom with nonsense lol. Is there a way I can still use it as a regular poppet despite what’s loaded in the bottom?
Have you had any success using crystals in place of lodestones in working (ex: rose quartz for love, pyrite for money, etc)? I know its not traditional but is it even worth experimenting with? Also it would be so interesting to see a article of how you make your oils and incense. Not exact formulas, just showing your technique. Wonderful article as always! Thanks so much for your articles and podcast..
