The Sticky-Note Slide by Tyler Twombly is an hour-long tutorial on performing moving ink effects close-up using post-it notes. The trick involves drawing four spots in each corner of a pad with a sharpie, moving them one by one with the rub of a finger until they end up in one corner of the pad. The top sheet with the spots on it is then peeled off and given away to examine.
The project requires only three materials: a square piece of paper (such as a sticky note), a pair of scissors, and a bit of magic. To perform the magic, fold the paper in half lengthwise with the sticky out and stick it to the inside of your palm. Take one of the stack of post-it notes and tear it until it’s about a inch thick.
The performer then uses a small sticky note to stick it on the back of the top card. The spectator selects a card, and the performer tries to guess the card by placing a small sticky note on the back of the top card. The original routine involves drawing any letter, number, shape, or symbol in permanent marker in one corner of a sticky-note and moving it three times visibly. This technique can be used to create magical effects and make learning easy for beginners.

I love working these things out, not to be nasty but,, I don’t know why just to know. but I can’t blow it all either, that would be unfair, yes ordinary paper ..a lot of pre-work for the first one,, ….erm top and bottom … fingers and thumb … and the last bit to show its a real ink letter,, nice touch, I wondered why you turned the paper ….. blind spot … and thats enough … it’s a great trick
