How can I learn astrology by myself?

Astrology is the study of the alignment of planets, often at the time of a person’s birth. It helps people identify personality traits and gain insight into their lives. Anyone with an interest in astrology can learn how it works and apply the principles to create and interpret astrological charts of their own. Sun signs are commonly thought to determine individual traits, but all astrological signs are present on a person’s chart at the time of birth.

The sun travels through all of the signs of the zodiac as the year progresses, with their alignment with each sign being as follows: Aries: March 20 to April 22; Taurus: April 21 to May 22; Gemini: May 21 to June 22; Cancer: June 21 to July 22; Leo: July 21 to August 22; Virgo: August 21 to September 22; Libra: September 21 to October 22; Scorpio: October 21 to November 22; Sagittarius: November 21 to December 22; Capricorn: December 21 to January 22; Aquarius: January 20 to February 19; Pisces: February 18 to March 21.

How is daily horoscope calculated?

A horoscope is a tool used by astrologers to determine the exact time and place of a subject’s birth or event. The local standard time is converted into Greenwich Mean Time or Universal Time, which is then used to calculate the ascendant and midheaven. The astrologer then consults an ephemeris, a set of tables that lists the location of the Sun, Moon, and planets for a specific year, date, and sidereal time.

The true local mean time (LMT) is then determined by adding or subtracting the difference between Greenwich and the place’s longitude to show where planets would be visible above the horizon at the time and place. The horoscope also shows hidden planets beneath the Earth.

The composite chart is commonly constructed when two people meet and form a relationship, providing clues about the nature and function of the relationship. The horoscope features 12 sectors around the circle of the ecliptic, called the houses, and numerous systems for calculating these divisions exist. Tables of houses have been published since the 19th century to simplify the task.

What is the rarest zodiac chart?

Aquarius is the rarest zodiac sign, with February being the least common birth month. Water-bearer babies are rare due to February being the least common birth month. Astrology enthusiasts may often encounter Geminis or Scorpios, but never meet a Capricorn. This may be due to zodiac compatibility, but a few signs tend to compete for the titles of rarest and most common due to several factors. However, it has been criticized by the scientific community for lacking explanatory power and lack of scientific validity. • I appreciate this upload. I’m not necessarily new to astrology, but nor I am adept in it either. I had my chart read sometime ago, and with that reading it was told that astrology would be one of my grandest achievements. Yeah, right! I remember telling myself. At that time the only thing I knew about asrtology was nothing. I knew nothing about it except for little astrological tidbits you may find in a magazine. When I did look into the practice, it seemed to overwhelming to comprehend, so I just kept on doing what I was doing…which turned out to be uneventful. Anyways, I love the way you broke down the basics so simple. Now I got a new outlook when it comes to astrology. I’m gonna pull my study guide off the shelf and allow the stars to guide me. Thanks for a fantasticially inspiring beginners introduction!

  • Lavendaire, I have always been an Astrology Lover mostly because of my mom and my grandma. They were both Walter Mercado fans. My twin sister and I are an hour apart and have different rising signs; we’re both Scorpios but her rising is in Cancer and mine is in Leo. I identify with my big three, Like a Scorpio I’m very competitive, I’m loyal to my inner circle, and I hold grudges. Like a Cancer (My Moon is in Cancer), I wear my heart on my sleeve, I’m very sensitive, and can be a bit of a cry baby, Like a Leo I’m always leading things, I have a hard time accepting criticism sometimes and feel better when I get the occasional compliment. On another note, other people have told me that to them I have a sunny disposition (That’s probably the Leo in me)

  • Not sure if I’m a true believer in astrology or not but I’m still fascinated by it and I very much enjoyed this article and watched all the way to the end. Your presentation, explanation, and interpretation was very good. I even learned a few things and I liked how you simplified the representations of the Sun (ego), Moon (emotions), and the rising sign (mask)(loved that one most). Terrific way of putting it. Loved it very much. Thank you! PS I had an old chart from years ago so I was trying to understand some of it with the use of this article. It helped a little. I enjoyed it.

  • I did the planet sign house thing. Ill show you what I came up with based on my pluto- Planet- Pluto- Transformation, strengthening. Sign- Capricorn- Practical thinking to become more powerful and strong. House- 10- Public image, career achievements, professional aspirations.- Practical thinking to become more powerful and strong in order to improve public image and to achieve highest career ambitions. Any other Capricorn Plutos find this relatable?

  • Weird, I’ve looked at my birth chart a couple times and felt so overwhelmed. For whatever reason I chose tonight to take another look and write out some details. I stumbled on the nodes for the first time while perusal a tik tok vid and wanted to know more about my specific nodes so on to YouTube I came to really try to understand this chart. Your article was a great little tutorial. I watched and rewound and jotted notes, watched and rewound and jotted notes. Finally making it to the end where you talked about the nodes. Low and behold, our north and south nodes are in the Same Places!!! Your little explanation of what that mean really resonated with me. Apparently my north node in Aquarius really explains my vanlifer – be myself be weirdo be independent lifestyle! Thank you thank you thank you!

  • After all this time of being aware of all of our individual birth charts, ive realized i need to figure myself out, continue forward. so here i am looking for answers, taking what resonates and learning more but this article has proved helpful and just so amazed how your south node is in leo and n node is in aquarius. i am currently looking into my node and mine are the opposite! Definitely need to get into that leo and become a more significant star that the already significant but yet unique star of Aquarius. Certain aspects in my life have proven these things to be so true. Thank you for this general understanding of the birth chart, im excited to know more about myself than i already do!!

  • love your website. Libra Sun Libra moon and Libra Mercury. ASC Capricorn. I have loved astrology from when I was a kid, found a book on it in the house, lol. Numerology as well but I don’t delve that much into it.Thank you for this short article and sharing the book you studied. I am kind of split with my fate and freedom side. Anyway, I know this is an old article, bur still informative. Have a wonderful day!

  • Excellent article, thanks for clarifying astrology in simple easy to understand terminology. I have always fancied learning more about it, but when people discuss the subject they use lots of terms that make it seem so complex. Thank you for simplifying & demistifying the subject, I am more tempted to explore it further now. 😊

  • Dear @Lavendaire, when I had discovered astrology in depth this article was the article that explained it all. I was in love, everything made sense and it was that “missing piece”, I needed for guidance and answers. I was 3 years into astrology before it clicked that this one thing that gave me a sense of identity, and purpose was hurting me. I spent 3 years of wasted time trying to fill a void inside myself; 3 years shuffling tarot cards, tracking the phases of the moon and everything. I didn’t work. ASTROLOGY made me feel more helpless and hopeless. This one thing started to control my life, the worst decision I made. I wish I could unlearn it. DISCLAIMER!!!:) NO HATE. WHAT WORKS FOR YOU, WORKS. BUT THIS IS MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE::) Thank you.
