How To Navigate Spells In Wow?

The text discusses the issue of moving skills around on an action bar in ElvUI, where characters may cast spells or abilities while holding shift. To fix this, players can use UI scaling to make non-adjustable parts of the UI smaller, but this may cause smaller elements like action bars and portraits to become tiny.

Toggle Anchors is another option to move around certain elements on the screen, while Reset Anchors resets all frames to their original position. To move Hekili bars, users can enter the addon options and type /hekili into chat.

VuhDo replaces group unit frames with highly customizable ones and makes it easy to bind spells to mouse clicks, similar to using mouseover macros. It is particularly popular among healers who spend most of their time on the game.

To lock action bars and keybind something to press to move them around, users can change that by pressing escape -> interface -> action bars -> uncheck sticky actionbars. This will no longer require shifting clicks to move spells.

To remove spells from the action bars, hold shift and drag the spell. RetributionV2 (Topic Creator) 12 years ago suggested holding shift and then dragging the spell, which worked for him. However, he cannot move his spells on the action bars.

In the spell book, it opens out to the right and allows players to drag a portal to their Action Bar from here. Do you use an addon to control the size and position of the Action Bars?

  • My ingame friends know that If they whisper me in game while I am in combat and I respond that is not a good sign because I DO NOT even use a keyboard to play WoW. I first wiped out all the default keybinds and have my spells and such specifically bound within my UI. That all correspond to my 20 key Razer Tartarus game pad and some of 12 side buttons of my Razer Naga Pro. I have always moved with my mouse and use my camera for direction and looking around. I kept my default movement keybinds to the WoW default. But I move forward, backward, and strafe left and right using ONLY my mouse. For basic movement I do like you do and keep my right mouse pressed all the time and press the left mouse button to move forward. The scroll wheel of my mouse performs the other movement functions. Scroll up and Scroll down on my mouse scroll wheel adjusts my zoom. I changed the binding of pressing down on my mouse scroll wheel to “S” (default keybind for move backward. This is very helpful when you just need to back up a few steps but still need to see what is in front of you. It is also helpful on boss fights when the spell they case draws you into the boss and you need to stay back or die. Here I am looking at the boss and just press my scroll wheel down to keep my position and not be sucked in. I play a warlock who pretty much can’t cast while moving. In these fight situations, I just keep my mouse scroll wheel button pressed in to not get sucked in and still be in range of the boss. When my instant spell comes off cooldown, I let up on the mouse scroll wheel long enough to cast my instant spell and then back onto the scroll wheel until the suck in spell of the boss has ended.
