In Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl (BDSP), players can obtain Mystic Water, a Held Item, by digging around the area until they fully uncover it. The item requires players to remove every piece of stone from the object before collecting it and moving on to the next shining spot on their map. Players can use the Thief move on wild Castforms or catch them to get the Mystic Water. It can be found a short surf north of the small pond to the right-hand side of Pastoria City.
Mystical Fire is a Fire-type Move in BDSP that can be learned by certain Pokemon. To battle Palkia, players must defeat Galactic Commander Mars, Commander Jupiter, and Team Boss Cyrus one last time. There are numerous Mythical and Legendary Pokemon available in BDSP, with three legendary Pokémon scattered around Sinnoh after battling Dialga or Palkia. The Yellow Pokémon is located in Lake Acuity.
Mystical pokemon can be obtained from limited-time events and as rewards for playing other Pokémon games. The easiest method is talking to a Black Belt in Route 208, while others can be found by digging. In the overworld, there is one Mystic Water that players can pick up in Pastoria City, but they must have access to Surf to do so.
In summary, players can obtain Mystic Water, Mystical Fire, and other mythical Pokemon in BDSP through various methods, such as talking to a Black Belt, using the Poketch App, or digging.

Are mystic Pokemon rare?
Mythical Pokemon are rare and mystical creatures that have become fan favorites in the Pokemon world. They have unique abilities and characteristics, making them stand out. Mew, the original and most iconic Mythical Pokemon, is known for its cuteness and importance in the lore. Legendaries and Shinies, such as Mew and Lugia, are often the focal point of discussions about rare Pokemon. However, Mythicals, such as Mew and Arceus, are often just as rare but have a mystical quality.
Mythicals stand out due to their scarcity and mystical powers, and many in the vast Pokemon universe don’t even believe they exist. Some Mythical Pokemon are so strong that they can even create the entire universe. Ranking these fantastical creatures is challenging, but this piece aims to do so while highlighting the details and qualities surrounding them.

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl has many Legendary Pokemon for you to catch such as Azelf, Uxie, and Mespirit.
Fun fact: you do not need to become champion to get the national dex. Also, you can give Pokémon their hidden abilities but not remove them. One possible reason for this is that Machamp could learn fissure in gen 1, transferring it up to the modern games gives it a hidden ability which means you don’t get no guard machamp with fissure.
Not that I’m being too judgemental for people who want to shiny hunt the legendaries at ramanas park but… It’s so much easier to shiny hunt them in other games. If you have the sword and shield dlc then the dynamax adventures is great. If you have a 3DS then gen 7 ultra wormhole soft resets will be so much easier since the shiny charm actually affects them. Or oras is great for soft resetting the legendaries though it’s much harder to get the shiny charm in Oras.
I found you when I started playing violet. The game got me so hyped I went back and bought all the pokemon games except for let’s go, the fact that all my favorites are in diamond and pearl and may very well one day be in violet gets me super charged to play all the games. I’m currently in diamon, grinding my way to the elite 4. Knowing these legendaries are waiting omg yes. Just yes. Thank you for this article.
Good to know as well thanks again for the useful info, i think they kept mewtwo with one offensive move, being Psychic because if Mewtwo would have more than 1 offensive move with a different type each, Mewtwo would be a menace to catch without Masterball. Good to know, that i can have a pokemon such as Houndoom and take 0 damage allowing me to conveniently stay in battle till i catch Mewtwo
They seriously didn’t put the legendaries from after generation four in the game? The ruby and sapphire remakes also had legendaries from all the other generations, at that time, in those games in addition to the legendaries from those games. One reason why those remakes are better than these and another reason for me to not get these.
I need some help. I’m encountering regirock at the moment and going for the shiny, but would like to take a break from it and go back to poke radar a bit. How do I get out of the encounter with regirock? I put the slate in and was transported to him and saved right before the encounter to shiny hunt. Now I want to leave the encounter but have no idea how. Any ideas?
I’m very disappointed at Gamefreak why changed legendary… I like to hunt all legendary in caves somewhere instead change to park why had to collect shards I’m not enjoying to get 40/40 can find shards chance if fail 3 time lose 40/40 it very stupid… I guess wait for darkrai shaymin arceus event show up because I already have all legendary in shield why I need caught them again? Nah
Last night I found out you can actually get the national dex before becoming champion in these games, which was a really pleasant surprise, since you definitely couldn’t do that in the originals. I finished the Sinnoh Dex after the 7th badge and got my national dex. Professor Oak said that Ramanas park is open now, but it wasn’t, however I did get the poke radar, and I’m able to find all the national dex Pokémon underground as well.
It’s so unfortunate that the loading times for this game are so crazy. Shiny hunting is like 3x slower than US/UM and you have to do it at base shiny odds. I’m running out of options though because my last 3DS is dying. lol. I really hope they do a performance patch or something in the future. That title screen just hangs on black forever.
I picked shining Pearl because Pearl is what i chose back in 07 for the orginal games. Good that i did since it has Lugia as an exclusive and last game that i chose (Sword) has Ho oh as an exclusive and shiny hunted it. Now i can shiny hunt Lugia. Also, Great they made both Kyogre and Groudon available for both
I’m just gonna flat out say it. Ramanas park is TERRIBLE. One hour of digging and I got 6 small shards. And that was followed by the annoying “save, throw balls, reset, repeat” grind for catching legendaries. And it’s just gonna be the same 2 annoying grinds over and over again. Once I’m done I just wanna forget Ramanas Park ever even existed 😩
So I didn’t actually realize (or rather, completely forgot) that each room had its own unique style of slate. Guess who just found out that he completely wasted a whopping FOUR Discovery Slates’ worth of Mysterious Shards, thinking he’d be able to use those everywhere. What a way to start the new year, amirite
God that’s just so much work…..I got diamond cause the dogs, beasts or whatever they are( I call them dogs they look like big puppies to me) are my favorite. But Jesus. I already kinda don’t like gen 4 cause the pacing feels weird to me and feels like there’s so many hoops to jump through already for simple stuff, and to me this feels excessive. All that digging, so time consuming. Lol. But still good article.
Thank you Austin i finished my Brilliant Diamond story mode even got Darkrai and Shaymin but didn’t do ramanas park and now that SV DLC 2 is out and all the legendaries are shiny locked I had planned to go back and get me a shiny Rayquaza but wasn’t sure how to access him this article helps alot appreciate it! 👍
So I just started the ramanas park stuff, not sure if it was because I had a level 100 pokemon or because I caught giratina first, but I was able to purchase a distortion slate. There is a cave to the far right in the rock (somewhere in front of the water to Kyogre’s) which is the distortion room. It put me up against a completely dark version of origin forme Giratina that was level 100 that I could not catch. But after I beat it, the statue of the pokemon appears as usual but it turns the entire room upside down in doing so. You then have to walk back out of the room upside down with inverted movement controls. On your way out you get the griseous orb. It was very trippy. Another edit: The distortion slate, similarly to the other slates looking like their respective original game cartridges, looks like a DS game cartridge.
@AustinJohnplays You should really be a therapist or counselor, i suffer from severe chronic mentally psychological & emotional issues n perusal your articles this one one in particularly, truly brings me happiness content a sense of safety mixed with moderate Nostalgic Vibe, Im grateful 4 you’re existence.
This is so awesome, but it’s completely ruined because of the shiny charm. Good God I Hate Pokemon sometimes. Shiny hunting the legends in ORAS was some of the most fun I’ve had in Pokemon period. I always liked having to complete the Dex to get the charm too. Gave me some busy work to do, and a reason to actually go out in the grass. Welp, at the very least, I got my shiny shaymin already so that’s a good trade off I guess xD
I have a question. Do you have to catch all of the Sinnoh dex to get the national dex, or do you just need to have encountered every Pokémon at least once? I’ve read some conflicting things online that says you have to catch every one, & then some that said you just to have to have at least encountered them once. I never played the original DP so idk.
For anyone starting I highly highly recommend get darkrai bring them down to red health with another Pokémon then bring darkrai an just keep putting them to sleep an throwing your balls the game eventually gives you them once they run out of moves at least for my gameplay if you wanna try that especially those who have rest.
