I figured out it’s basically you take all the planets in your chart, disregard what sign they happen to be in for the moment and take all the degrees. You take 30 and subtract the degree each planet is in for each planet. The planet that has the largest number resulting from this equation is the Charatmakaraka.

I was told rahu must be counted as Atmakaraka if in highest degree. It’s highest degree in my chart. 0.4 in virgo in Magha in my 2nd house (which means 29.6 since its retrograde). Saturn is 27 virgo in the third house. Second house is ruled by sun. Third is ruled by mercury. Both mercury and sun are conjunct in my 6th house in Capricorn. I have a tough time sharing knowledge of astrology; there are so many complicated intervals. Do you follow the Julian calender which is inaccurate based on the constellations but focused on order and ease? Do you follow the measurements of Vedic astrology/Jyotisha which has a finer form of measurement based on the stars, but merge that with the mainstream ideas of western astrology(in general)? Do you use an atomic fucking clock and read ancient Babylonian and Egyptian cuniform? It iss imperfect and very tough to be 100% accurate, but learning to adjust to detail seems to be the best way to be a serious astrologer. That is no easy way to make money, though, and no one is perfect at their “job”, if were being realistic. The best philosophers are either homeless or retired xD, or they are demi-gods who also own a fortune 500, get laid at awesome parties every night, and have supportive/beautiful wife at home and kids who are all move out and successful. Hi, I’m hoping there is someone who can help me understand this; I have Aquarius ascendant with Pisces intercepted in my first house. So 2nd house is Aries. My 10th and 11th houses are both in Sagittarius. Duplicated. The ruler of 10th and 11th being Jupiter which is placed in my 1st house but in the intercepted Pisces. i have carefully listened to this program of yours and i am also a subscriber of your website. my 10th ( also 7th) lord Mercury is debilitated in pisces while tenth house Virgo is occupied by Rahu. 11th house Tula is occupied by 8th lord Moon while the 11th lord is in exaltation with debilitated mercury in Pisces. while this so with D1 chart (natal), the planetary position in D10 chart is 10th Scorpio occupied by Ketu while 3rd Aries is occupied by exalted Sun. Lord of 10th house (sun) and 3rd house (saturn) are both sitting in the 4th house. What does that signify? Well, my question was not answered but they told me that this belongs to the Jaimini System which they somehow do not “like”. But I like your articles! Thank you very much for making this article. To support your observation and research, my Sun is Libra in 11th house, Moon is Aquarius in 3rd house and my Rising is Scorpio. I find joy in helping others, taking the time to study their desires and assisting them with fulfilling those dreams. I prefer to go deep with understanding the emotions of others in order to find what makes them truly happy. My Midheaven is Virgo and my Mercury is influenced by Virgo in the 10th house. I’m the go-to analyst for all my friends and I 100% dislike chopping their dreams to bits, LOL. It is the biggest contention in my chart because many people cannot handle my unfiltered language when they ask for critique of said desires. I’m not even cruel about it either, but because I attract wounded and sensitive people, they take it worse than the usual crowd. My Saturn is Capricorn in 2nd house. During my 20s, I used my observation skills to become a reseller and sought out goods that I believed people wanted. It was a constant struggle to find sources of supply for the field I was interested in, board games/video games, etc. My Jupiter is Cancer in 8th house. My father saw the success I was having and he partnered with me to further my travel range to different stores (I have several medical conditions that prevent me from driving). We were very successful for 9 years until Amazon changed their policies to remove many of the items we were selling. With my Pluto in the 12th house, influenced by Scorpio, I changed careers to become a tarot reader.
