Apocalypse is a mod for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim that adds new spells of all different schools to the game. It is a unique, balanced, lore-friendly mod that blends seamlessly into the vanilla magic system. Apocalypse includes 155 spells (31 per school) and scrolls and staves, which can be bought and looted like vanilla spells. High-quality custom animations are balanced against vanilla magic and compatible with the PC version.
To enter cheats into the game, players can use the console command “help” in the console. Apocalypse adds 155 new spells that are unique, balanced, and lore-friendly, and work with powers, abilities, blessings, and diseases. To add a specific spell to a character’s arsenal, players can type “help (name of spell here, in quotes if multiple words)” in the console and then the player.
Instead of using PSB, players can type “help” and the name of the spell in the cheat menu. This method may take longer but is less problematic. It is recommended to install using NMM for easier uninstallation.
Apocalypse is the most popular Skyrim spell pack, adding 155 unique, balanced, lore-friendly spells that can be purchased or earned at the College of Winterhold or any Court Wizard. The spells, scrolls, and staves can be bought and looted from the same sources as vanilla spells.

I just wanna say that you are one of the better Skyrim modding YouTubers out there. You are chill and you get to the point. Most of the others nowadays try to be “funny” (but instead are just annoying and loud), or include some overly cinematic clips instead of showing gameplay, or they play with these oversexualized characters, or they do a terrible job at explaining the mods, or they drag the article to 30 minutes+, etc. You are more akin to the older Skyrim modding YouTubers like Brodual.
You gotta check out the new Skies Above Weathers and ENB. Definitely a phenomenal alternative to bright, heavily stylized ENBs like Berserkyr, Rudy’s, or Silent Horizons. It’s customizable, it has a lot of unique effects, and is great for those looking for something closer to vanilla tones that still brightens up the game and intensifies the atmosphere.
I tend to gravitate towards a more tanky tackicle alteration mage. I used alot of mods that add wacky alteration concepts like oil to slow down enemies, and blink to teleport to high ground. The armor and telekeniese also works and I also have a bit of restoration. Any tips for visual mods in this department? i know alteration magic is typically seens as useless but making builds around this playstyle has always been fun to me.
One really nice mod I would like to recommend but don’t exactly know the name is Drop Spell Scrolls. It allows you to simply drop a scroll from inventory to cast it. Paired with spell research, you can craft your own scrolls allowing you to make completely new builds. Obviously useful for mages but you can pair it with other classes like Heavy warrior and drop spells all around you or pair it with a thief to make a ninja and drop invisibility scrolls like smoke bombs.
Hey do you think you could make a guide explaining how to fix issues with sprint power attacks on MCO ADXP. There seem to be no good or reliable guides anywhere yet many people(myself included) seem to having issues with this. I mostly mean that mods that add sprint power attacks seem not to work and even worse many power attack mods with MCO get their custom attacks overridden by vanilla animations.

hi, im having troubles with strange runes, when i make a new character the runes show, but then when you either sheathe your magic or unequip the magic the runes are permanently there.. Hello, I just discovered your website and I like it. I know a little bit about modding. I watched your “How to Mod Skyrim in 2023: First Mods to Install (Beginner’s Guide)” article. In what order should I watch your articles from now on?, I saw your article “How to INCREASE Skyrim Performance with Mods (Performance Mods + More FPS)” I’ll start here, but what is your suggestion?
Old article but imma try out some of these mods. Do you or anyone else reading this know the name of the mod that enhances magic depending on the environment like shock spells being more powerful and jumping to multiple targets in rain and such? I know it exists i once saw it and read the description i just don’t remember the name of it.
Taking out the casting lol. that’s not vanilla at all the apocalypse spells are So outside of vanilla you might as well give yourself infinite health while your at it.. these mods RUIN the way the game was meant to be played they are basically cheat codes. nothing more. you seem to think the casting time was there to annoy you but its not. its put there because without it the game is UNBALANCED and boring. WAY TOO EASY and pointless playing as its no challenge any one of your spells can kill ANYONE..
Spellsiphon has 1000% become my favorite magic mod. It adds an entire new spell system ontop of skyrims old system, so you can swap between either interchangably, and its insanely indepth. It also adds infusions to weapons, like conduit, but adds a resistance based off what youre attuned too, and bonus effects based off what element you have. ITs actually crazy how slept on it feels.
Xbox version was updated and the version of the outfit with the skirt which is the best one is gone with no warning and they added new pics to the mod and put the baba yaga quest on mods to with the requirement of the outfit along with only pictures of the outfit with the skirt but there is no skirt one
What Dodge mod are you currently using? I currently have been unable to get any Dodge mod working with the current version of Skyrim including TK Dodge. All of them either get dll script errors for being outdated or in the case of teekay just not working at all even when following all of the up-to-date Anniversary Edition instructions
I’m overjoyed to see that you have included Forgotten Magic. Forgotten Magic is my favorite spell-adding mod in Skyrim. I often build my mages with this mod in mind. I cannot imagine playing a mage in Skyrim without it. However, my favorite magic perk mod is Paths of Sorcery. I think it is much better than Ordinator when it comes to overhauling the magic perks.
Nice article. I added a few mods for my list, though the animation and sound mods didn’t interest me. One thing that would be helpful, at least for me would be If the mods have plugins, are they ESLified and can they be added mid game? For armor and clothing mods, which body types are they for and do they have physics. I care about ESL-ified mods since I’m at 254 active plugins so I don’t have any more slots without using something like zmerge to merge plugins together. I actually tried that last year and discovered that I change my mod list too often for that to work for me. I kept having to recreate the merged plugin which got old pretty quickly! Thanks again for making these informative articles. if you are looking for ideas for new articles, cover the TAO – Triumvirate Apocalypse Odin – mod combo would be a good one. Also covering the best mage gear like robers, aetherium crown ( with circlets aren’t armor mod), erudite ring, boots, gloves, amulets, and perhaps a few stand out staves. You could even cater it for different schools, best for destruction, illusion, and conjuration mages.
apocalypse + ordinator was one of my first challenge build which was restoration and alteration only. no armor. my only skills I leveled to begin with were restoration/alteration/enchanting/alchemy. and while the start sucked for thw first 15-20 levels. at level 40 or so this became probably my strongest build I’ve ever made. I was healing and dealing damage to everyone around me with certain spells. such a fun time. Would highly recommend, gonna be trying some of this stuff which I haven’t done any of the other stuff outside of apocalypse and ordinator
A shame mysticism was taken off XB… as I really loved it Heard the reasons was due to Bethesda’s policy’s and while I understand that… taking off mods on Bethesda just impacts us console players… Bethesda could give less of a 💩 if you have a mod on their website. Their whole plan in the first place is PAID mods… If there’s less free mods for players to pick. Then paid mods start growing more desirable… (Though never gonna do that myself… fAke that system)
