The Mystical Shaman Oracle is a powerful divination tool with 64 cards, each depicting a sacred symbol. Each card has three important messages: the Essence, the Invitation, and the Medicine. The Essence tells the timeless message of the card, expanding it until you grasp its message without needing to analyze it. The Invitation tells you the gifts that Spirit is extending to you at this moment. Discover the ancient wisdom and guidance of the shamanic tradition and learn how to use these cards to access your intuition, connect with spirit guides, and provide guidance, insight, and inspiration.
The Oracle Cards are created by practising shaman John Matthews and beautifully illustrated with evocative images of cave paintings by Wil Kinghan. Three master teachers and healers—Alberto Villoldo, Colette Baron-Reid, and Marcela Lobos—have brought their wisdom and talents together to offer a doorway into the realm of the sacred symbols with the Mystical Shaman Oracle. One way to use the mystical shaman oracle cards is through daily card pulls, where you can begin by setting an intention or asking a question, then shuffle the deck and choose a card at random.
Oracle cards can be used for personal transformation journeys, divination, and rituals. The process involves choosing your Oracle Card Deck, requesting guidance, shuffle, spreading, selecting, observing and receiving the cards, and reflecting on the cards. They can offer insights and give answers to various questions and concerns.

I was attracted to this deck a few years ago but never purchased it. My interest rekindled just recently and I’m pleased to see a pocket version available now. You give a great review, comparing to the original, and I will be purchasing the pocket one soon so I can finally explore this deck for myself.
Oh this is interesting 🎉 But i do wonder, you did mention that in the pocket size guidebook, only the greyscale picture of the deck is not included like the one in the original full size guidebook. But I’m wondering the text in the guidebook is still the same or similar without it being paraphrase or some words being deducted? Just wondering. Thank you for the nice review ❤
This is one of those disappointing decks for me.. The guidebook is one of the worst ones, cards descriptions are extremely generic, superficial and similar to each other. No reading resonates when going by the guidebook. Art is beautiful but doesn’t speak to me, feels just as superficial as the guidebook. This deck works for me only when I rely on keywords and my intuition to interpret them. The result is a reading completely different than what the guidebook suggests but wsy more accurate.
