What I actually hope for in season 3, as this is missing, is the story of Crowley falling as an angel. There has to be at least one, if not more, meeting between “before the beginning” and the story of Garden Eden. Also Aziraphale was not surprised at all to see him ther3 AND protected him without hesitation from the rain.
I love that, as we now know that Elspbeth’s story was just before the “holy water talk”, we see exactly what prompted Crowley to ask for holy water for “insurance”, however he meant it. we see that he got in trouble for doing something good (he prevented a suicide, indirectly gave money to the girl and directly told her to be a good person. that’s something I don’t see Hell forgiving easily) and disappeared for a few decades. they surely threatened him with destruction, if not downright punished/tortured him in some way. so naturally, when he is able to come back to Earth, he asks Aziraphale for a weapon to be able to prevent Hell from hurting him if something like that happens again. and of course Aziraphale takes it the worst way, because obviously Crowley hasn’t told him what Hell is capable of doing / has done to him (we see in both seasons that Crowley shields him from a lot of hurtful information). then again, bad communication (and Aziraphale not fully understanding how Heaven and especially Hell work) leads to a fight. tale as old as time, literally.
I like how Aziraphale, aside from whatever parts are necessary for his disguises, barely alters his appearance as he isn’t very worldly (at least until he hangs around Crowley for a while). Crowley, meanwhile, tends to always try to be “trendy” for the time and goes all in with facial hair, accessories, etc. from the get go
I love how they made the crank Crowley wields at the end of the first season to be more associated with his character and not just some random part he had from his car when it blew up. But its actually the tool he used to create galaxies and nebulas when he was an angel. Very cool. I loved how they brought it back.
Oh my god the hard cut from the cafe scene to the divorce ;-; This was honestly really interesting to watch, you really see just how attached Aziraphale is to his idea of morality and Heavens ideology. Right up until the end he really only becomes soft with Crowley when he does something against his perceived demonic nature and says or does something ‘nice’ or ‘good’. Crowley is of course, a nice and good person, and in no way makes a good demon, but he’s definitely not angelic and has no interest in being so. Crowley has accepted the grayness almost the moment he fell, while Aziraphale still forcefully separates things into black and white. He can’t help it, it’s compulsive and immediate, he’s been conditioned to be this way. Hopefully in S3 Aziraphale will realize that not only he and Crowley function in that grey, but it’s perfectly fine to do so- it’s something to love. Crowley has his issues, yes, but they make him more human and I’m sure he’s aware of that. He has it figured out- Aziraphale needs time.
Crowley was once told by the junior angel (forgot her name) when he snuck back into heaven that only a Throne or Power has access to the file he wanted. I believe he was able to access it because he is (or once was) a Throne (3rd highest level of the 9 choirs of angels, below seraphim and cherubim). “They reside in the area of the cosmos where material form begins to take shape.” We see him during the formation of the cosmos in the beginning when he calls Aziraphale to him.
I think it would be more accurate to say the chronological order of their meetings that we witnessed. The series is full of ✨clues✨ that there is more history between them than meets the eye.😏 And thank you so much. perusal the scenes in order showed more clearly how the relationship between them developed.
I need to see more of Angel Crowley and see his fall in S3 bec we have next to no knowledge about Angel Crowley but it’s obvious she was SUPER important to be the one who started the endure universe and helped design it. Plus he was able to access Gabriel’s file, the literal Supreme Archangel. Angel Crowley might’ve been more important to heaven than even Lucifer, Gabriel, Michael and the other Archangels.
The Golgotha scene is still really special to me. You can see how they both know something terrible is happening, they’re the closest to open, public agreement in their earlier years. I love some fans’ take on Crowley’s temptation in the 40 Days in the Desert of the Very Special Rabbi ™, but I’m glad this is as far as they delve into that part of history.

I love how the show rewrites there whole dynamic with that first scene in season 2 from the perspective of aziraphale, he basically had a crush on angel Crowley and met him later as a demon, and through more of their interactions I understand more his decision by the end of season 2 even if it BROKE MY HEART, but it makes sense because in his mind he wanted to protect Crowley and trying to “Fix things” in heaven. I see it like this: Azirraphale Is still stuck in The past(coming bach to heaven)while Crowley saw the future (aka what the other couples have) so they couldn’t get together..FOR NOW

Time line thoughts: So the guy in the Resurrectionist pub said that the radio thing had “started last year”, which means that Gabriel and Beelzebub started meeting there the year before. So their meetings started right after the Adam saga in a different pub, but their relationship seemed to develop fairly quickly for two immortals. I’d guess the Adam saga was: born around 2005-2008, bus meeting (Adam = 5 years old) was around 2010-2013, and the averted apocalypse was 2016-2019? The first season was released in 2019 so maybe? Another thought: In the 90s cell phones existed but weren’t that popular as they were so expensive and bulky, so Crowley taking out the cellular network around London (he said he did when he was given newborn Adam in the graveyard) would not have been as big a deal in 1990 as it would have been in the 2000s. I haven’t actually had a chance to read the book though so not sure how close the two version are. Okay i’ll stop theorizing and run away now. Thank once again! I just want to say thank you. Because I know there’s a lot of hullabaloo over how much they love each other, and I absolutely subscribe. But there’s a part of me that’s just sort of figured it for fantasy. You know: wishful thinking. But perusal this in chronological order had slapped me so hard with the reality of how much Aziraphale has fallen for Crowley. It’s so apparent to me me from The Globe scene onwards that he’s just… well. Smitten. Ha. In case no-one else mentions it – 19:01 England – the ‘park with dinosaurs’ location would be in Crystal Palace Park, London. The sculptures were unveiled in 1854 as the first dinosaur sculptures in the world. The dinosaur designs were based on the (now-outdated) cutting edge palaeontology science of the time.
I just, don’t quite understand how Aziraphale can still be so on the side of morality, if he himself has been doing LITERAL TEMPTATIONS at least since the 1600’s, probably a bit earlier. And, continued to do so up until present day, probably becoming more and more comfortable with them as time went on. Idk, I’d reeeeaaally like a scene where we see Aziraphale doing some temptations, or Crowley doing a good deed, all by themselves. Aziraphale is supposed to be a bit of a bastard, and we don’t get to see it that often.
they’ve done quite a good job with the historical accuracy of the costumes in general, except for the 537 AD, absolutely should not have had full body plate armor, it wasn’t around for another 800 years, till the late medieval period 😅 i get that they wanted to give them a classic knightly look and include arthurian legends, but those two are as far removed from each other as we are from the Fourth Crusade 😅😅😅
i love the meeting at the crucificiton. one of the bits cut out is my favorite line in the show “did you ever meet him?” “yeah, seemed like a really bright young lad. i showed him all the kingdoms of the world” “why” “hes a carpenter from galilee, his travel oportunities are limited” which is a real thing the bible claims happened to jesus. the devil shows him the kingdoms of the world, and tempts him to take control over them all. the way this show takes moments from biblical canon and turns it into little humerous anecdotes from these characters’ lives is great.
I only just noticed that the way Crowley kind of jerks his gaze to the side and away from Aziraphale when he says “that’s what friends are for” in 1941 is almost the exact same thing he does at the end of s2 when Aziraphale says “we can be together, angels!” At first I thought the 1941 turn away was just the fear of acknowledging their friendship and being caught, but now I wonder if it’s more a general Crowley mannerism of him struggling to have those real and emotional conversations and not being able to look directly at Aziraphale when he is openly acknowledging their relationship in one way or another, or wanting to protect himself from Aziraphale seeing how he feels when he finally gets called a friend when he wants more and when he’s (in his misinterpretation of Aziraphale’s offer) being told “we could be together if you became and angel, but now while you’re a demon”
Guys, i was in jail when i found this book, neil gaiman and some other guy wrote it, missing a cover and like the fiest forty pages.. short book, i tried to ration it to myself lol.. a week after I finished the book, alone in my bunk at like 4am.. they bring in new books, and there in the pile of new books is american gods.. i didnt know neil gaiman wrote either book until i finished them both tho, and was already out of jail, my point is that in that godless place, god, the devil, shadow moon, they were there with me, I was never alone in that place.. it was lovely. If the concept of “soulmates” exist in Good Omens, do you think god truly planned them to be one? Even before they became a team, they keep getting the same assignments. In all those millenia and in the vastness of the universe, their paths just keep meeting and meeting. It’s impossible that god didn’t know about it, heck he prolly even intended it
“Animals don’t kill each other with complicated machines, only Humans do that.” This is actually an interesting point when you know the apocrypha. There was an Angel by the name of Gadriel, set to guard the garden of Eden. When Adam and Eve were cast out of the garden, he was the one who taught them how to survive without their god’s protection. He taught Adam to make weapons, and taught Eve to make garments. So yes, only humans make complicated machines to kill each other. But also, only because an Angel taught them how, and because God forced his hand.

Its weird they dated the Garden of Eden after the existence of actual cities and civilizations. I guess its a joke? Anatomically modern humans have been around pver 100,000 yrs. Agriculture started 12,000 yrs ago. The city Çatalhöyük is over 9,000 yrs old. Hell, Aleppo Syria is 8,000 yrs old. But the Garden of Edens only 6,000 yrs ago? Its odd.
Giving god the benefit of the doubt, what if all those horrible things were not lessons for humanity but lessons for angels and demons instead.. to give them their chance at free will and redemption It’s not good being used as someone’s example, but if it’s to help someone else maybe it’s not too bad either.
I really really really hate the season 2 editions. It makes no sense for Aziraphale’s character to be that dense about philosophy so late in the game – it really upset the balance of what were two great equal characters on opposite sides (but not really). I also hate how smug Crowley is during them, it felt so patronising.
Unfortunately, Season 3 seems to be designed around a complete logical fallacy. In about 3:08 to 3:35, Gaiman establishes in scene that the person who was crucified was just a man telling people to be nice to one another, not to be confused with the Son of God or anyone of great importance. At the end of Season 2, the Metatron indicates that the next great event planned is the “Second Coming”. Well, this series can’t have a “Second” coming, because it didn’t acknowledge the first. That kind of ruins it all for me.
I’ll be honest – I hate how they made it a romantic relationship in season 2. Not because it’s gay, but the same way I hated making Mulder and Scully a couple in the X-Files. In both cases the friendship, the platonic love, felt more unique, more interesting. As a romance it’s just sort of “meh” for me.
Just saw Good Omens 2, had to fast forward through most of it, it was so unbelievably bad… I like most of the actors. But wow that script was so sanctimonious it was just unwatchable. It was like perusal one of those purer than pure zealot Christian movies that hit every single sweet note it could because bible that just wanted to make you wretch.. Except this was EXACTLY the opposite in every conceivable way it could be, and somehow it had an even larger sickening effect! I went away feeling they did Christianity so dirty that I was almost tempted to listen to some Christian rock. (And I HATE Christian rock..) The writers of this trash are low key honestly worse than the worst of the angels and devils they write on the show.
Friendships have many dynamics which are best left to mystery, I loved every part of Season 1 and 2 (ups and downs here and there but overall balanced and good!… Untill the will they wont they appeared as an undertone, didnt cross my mind it didnt have to, Good Omens ruined with a kiss, did they learn nothing from ‘Moonlighting’. One moment of what I might as well describe as woke, as its been just below the surface, like perusal any film from the past with political religious thoreticle undertones. NEVER! they were just some bros, at best. not the kind type of bros but more like the “eat shit” – “you too, sucker” type of bros. and now they pulled the ultimate season destroyer at the end… i could hear the evil voices of the producers “muahaha they already bought the shit, now we can fuck it up at the last minute, nobody will get a refund, if they watched 90% of it”. damnit when was the last time i saw a good series… must be 10 years or so… just for once i would like to watch a series that people have actually put thought into. i feel like most of american movies are just like “hey, wanna see guys with really big guns” or “hey, you wanna see girls with really big tits?” or “hey, do you want to cry until the point that you want to commit suicide?” and now we have the big 4th destroyer… “hey, wanna see gays and lesbians, to feel like you accept a minority you don’t even care about?”
