Is Aoc Enchanting Trumbo?

Witches are using platforms like TikTok and Instagram to cast spells against President Donald Trump and his supporters during his final days in office. The spell, a variant on a traditional “binding” spell found in many contemporary neo-pagan and other occult practices, involves channeling energy to limit Trump’s power. In an appearance on CNN’s State of the Union, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez claimed that Trump ordered a “terrorist attack” on the Capitol and argued that he should have his own. Witch-identified individuals are encouraging others with an interest in the occult to get informed about political candidates and casting a mass spell on Friday, February 24 at midnight.

At the dawn of the Trump administration, witches were suddenly everywhere in the US. Neo-pagans used blogs and conservative Christians claimed Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a witch guided by demons and leading an attack against Trump. As the U.S. election approaches, various groups have mobilized to vote, but witches have taken it a little further, organizing online. • I’m at 62-year-old man with two daughters in their 20s. I want to conduct myself and try to conduct myself, in such a way that my daughters don’t have to make excuses for my behavior. It’s difficult to break a lifetime of ignorant habits but it can be done. At least I’m trying! AOC is the future and with smart women and men like her, we can all look forward to the future. I’m tempted not to post this because you know the trolls are going to eviscerate me… Oh well

  • What is sad about the quote “My family did not raise me to take abuse from men” is that many families do raise young girls into women that view their self worth so low that they feel the need to take the abuse to survive, for one reason or another. We fight for all women, even the ones that think they’re not worth it. You are worth it! If you’re reading this thinking you may have grown in abusive home life, please consider getting therapy in your local area- it works wonders! And if you’re reading this thinking you may be in an abusive relationship now, please look up the criteria of an abusive relationship and seek help! People care about you even if it doesn’t seem like it. I know because I care about you. <3

  • The line about having daughters and being a daughter hit me hard. Imagine if yoho had to see his daughters being so strongly insulted in the workplace. He would be so insulted that a man his age took shots at his precious daughters for doing their job. But no. He was the one that insulted a woman for having opinions? authority? not being a coward? No matter what your side is in the politics you cannot deny that AOC made many points in this response. She was firm and eloquent. And, despite knowing she may not get an apology or response from yoho, she proceeded on with this just to make sure people remember to respect everyone no matter their gender or political standing.

  • “”Having a daughter does not make a man decent. Having a wife does not make a decent man. Treating people with dignity and respect makes a decent man. And when a decent man messes up, as we all are bound to do, he tries his best and does apologize. Not to save face, not to win a vote. He apologizes, genuinely, to repair and acknowledge the harm done so that we can all move on.” @8:22

  • I have watched this several times and feel the same all the time. I have been in abusive relationships and thankfully got out before I or my children were seriously hurt. AOC’s message resonated with many women young and older. She made her voice heard and got her point across as an intelligent, well-spoken lady, worthy of the office she represents. The same can’t be said for her male counterparts who have to resort to unacceptable language because they are insecure and feel threatened by strong women. I wonder how Mr. Yoho would feel if another male said those things to his mother, his wife or his daughters? I am sure it happens in his home, that sort of verbal abuse, because he can verbally attack another woman. Makes you wonder how many times he has done it. He should feel shame and not only apologize to AOC, but to all women and his constituents. male and female. Let the world know this is unacceptable.

  • Watching this was the best 10 minutes I’ve spent in a long time. Yoho’s excuse-laden ‘apology’ sounded about as lame as, “some of my best friends are women”. He should be ashamed of himself. I hope his wife and daughters can explain to him how utterly impotent his ‘acknology’ sounded on the House floor. AOC is absolutely right – neither the words he uttered nor his ridiculous excuses should be accepted by the members of the House or the rest of the world.

  • This type of behavior from Yoho is shameful. As a former Congressional employee, for a Republican, Yoho has not only soiled his record, but has soiled the house with his crass, common, and obnoxious comments. Shame on him, and EVERY house member that lets this type of behavior fester in the House of Representatives.

  • I see calm in Representative Ocasio-Cortez’s face, she took the high road to explain her part of the incident, Ted Yoho took the Yolo road hoping this incident just goes away. What a classless man, no different than the governor of Florida, they’ll get their hell next time they’re up for re-election.

  • Love love love that she responded to his non apology. Too often women in the workplace deal with men talking like that and just try to brush it off. Because you get mocked if you express that it is wrong. And the result is workplace culture where language dehumanizing women is “funny”, not serious, you know, “locker room talk”. While women are not responsible for such men’s unprofessional behavior, it’s great to see a woman calling it out ❤.

  • “What I do have issue with is using women, our wives and daughters, as shields and excuses for poor behavior” This is so prevalent, not only when talking about a man’s abuse towards women but its also used against people of color. Just because you have a relationship with someone with one similarity to the person you are attacking doesn’t mean you are justified or decent. It makes no sense.

  • I feel saddened for the people of the 3rd District of Florida who have to bear Ted Yoho as their representative after his clear demonstration of hate and misogyny. I feel infinitely more saddened for Ms. Ocasio-Cortez, and all the women she spoke of. I think that Mr. Yoho should offer a full apology for his inexcusable actions and words.

  • This is why I cringe when people compare her to Greene or Boebert. I disagree with AOC a lot on policy, but I have tremendous respect for her because she treats others with respect and has class. She’s genuine and believes in what she says, even if I disagree with her conclusions. As a Buffalo Native, I’m proud she’s a fellow New Yorker.

  • “Having a daughter doesn’t make a man decent. Having a wife does not make you a decent man. Treating people with dignity and respect makes a decent man.” This is why we must treat one another with dignity and respect regardless of their race, gender, sexual orientation, or the god they pray to. We in turn must become a more accepting society in order to meet the ideals that our nation preaches.

  • Been a conservative my whole life but I support this woman. Someday she will get my vote. We need a younger perspective in politics. We need someone who has been there and experienced the heart ache and stress of financial instability. I am proud of her and respect her so much. Thanks for being the role model for my future children and our country’s youth.

  • I’ve disagreed with AOC on many issues, despite a shared party, but I applaud her for having the courage to address Yoho’s actions and to do so in the way she did. Yoho is beneath contempt, just like the Cheetohead in office. One can disagree with another person and not succumb to being a rude, abusive asshole — and that was EXACTLY what Yoho was trying to do, to intimidate and to punish. I’ll bet anything his wife and daughters have lived with more than a little of this type of verbal abuse. Also, Williams is equally beneath contempt for not having the balls to step in and stop a colleague from doing something that was just genuinely wrong to do to anyone. Fortunately, I’m able to vote against Williams, and I shall be HAPPY to do so this election.

  • That guy’s apology was a non apology. I don’t have a dog in the fight, Englishman living and working in Japan. Even I thought this was disgraceful behaviour, that representative should be ashamed hiding behind his wife and daughter. Shame on you sir. You should offer a straight forward apology for your lapse in general decorum

  • When people show you who they are, BELIEVE THEM! Yoho represents a brand of politics, a presence in our government that needs to be cut out like a malignant tumor!! This kind of behavior is low, deplorable, undignified and OUTRAGEOUS! Yoho and people like him feel emboldened to act out like this, not just because they feel justified in their actions, but also because they are convinced that there are no consequences. AOC, five star response. PLEASE GET OUT AND VOTE! We have to get rid of the Trumps, McConnells and the Yohos out of our Federal and local governments. This is beyond blue and red policy disagreements! This is about us as voters rescuing this country from the brink! Vote local, vote federal, VOTE!!!!!!!

  • It was great how she very clearly pointed out what he demonstrated by hiding behind his wife and daughters. Right wing bigots pull this same thing all the time. “I must not be a bigot, I love my wife and daughters.” All he is doing is demonstrating that someone who is a husband and a father can also be a misogynist. It’s no different than the racists hiding behind the “Black Friend.” Or, “I have people of color in my family so the racist thing I said must not really be racist.” It’s encouraging to hope that with her generation moving into leadership roles that kind of garbage will finally be called out clearly for what it is.

  • 🔴 A street walk!!! first she said she was a bartender, then she was a bartender/waitress, then she was a waitress, then she was a waitress/street walker, I guess she was just a street walker!!! suppossably she majored in foreign relations but when it became time for her to show it she said she was no expert on foreign relations!!!

  • She is awesome. Such a powerful strong woman !!!! I’ve always taught my daughter no man should ever disrespect you. She shows you that you can walk with your head high and have class even in the worst situations. We need her in the White House. She has more class in her pinky than Trump has in his entire body😊😊 AOC you are a hero to so many!

  • AOC handled this with such grace and brilliance! If I was yoho, I would be feeling pretty stupid and ashamed, right about now. Then, again, I am not one to abuse women (or anyone), so I can’t really imagine what someone who would do what he did might feel. I really wish a lot of the people in our government would act their age, and stop acting like a bunch of 7-9th grade children. I cannot believe some of those folks are getting paid over 100K a year to act like they do, and are more concerned with playing tit-fot-tat games, getting “likes”, and name-calling than they are doing their damned jobs! For the love of God, GROW UP, PEOPLE! DO YOUR JOBS! STOP ALL THE BS, AND STOP ACTING SO CHILDISH! It is seriously getting to the point I am almost embarrassed to be/admit an American!

  • I can’t believe this man is such a weak little cry baby. What an embarrassment to his family, and you can be sure they’ve heard those words at home. Pathetic. This speech gave voice to all of the women who have had those words said to them, which is every woman. This kind of hatred is the evidence of a system built on the tenants of cowardice. Her bravery and response shows she’s his superior in every way. She almost makes me believe in the Democrats. If only they were all even a little like her. Guess I’ll remain unimpressed with both sides but she wins my respect.

  • Ok… from what I’ve seen (being not American) there’s a lot of support and (specially in some comments) hate towards AOC. I mean even if I don’t agree 100% in everything she says (no one is perfect of course), she seems more professional than most of the politicians I have seen (well, in social media) in USA.

  • She is speaking for every single woman out there who is considered to be under a men. People arguing in this comment section saying men and women are equal and they shouldn’t be compared nor given special treatment, you are pathetic. Women never have asked for special treatment. If you consider equal rights as special treatment then take it as you wish. Women were never considered to be equal to men and still to this day and age it hasn’t changed in some areas. She is literally trying to give a positive message so just stop being negative and getting offended by it. It’s sad to believe that still to this day people kill the child if it is a girl in some areas. There are schools that restrict girls from wearing anything revealing because it “distracts” the boys. Just because a women is speaking about her rights doesn’t give you the option to criticize her and shame her for comparing two genders and specialising one of them. This is a positive message so stop trying to give your negative opinions.🙏

  • The pattern is free Speech. You don’t have to like it. Every person has that right. No ones says it is good or bad. It is your individual right to say and believe what you want. Read the constitution and get over yourself. My belief is AOC in incompetent and immature. She should not be allowed to be on the PTA let alone in government.

  • A couple college students go to college. One of them gets a job and has a family. He pays higher taxes to pay for his college. He also has to pay for the other person who went to school to party. That person doesn’t get a job. It’s not free none of this is. You’re just making the family man pay way more.

  • I’m a former Republican who is ashamed I ever supported that party. I am a veteran, as well, and wish I could have stood in defense of the capitol on January 6th. Given the opportunity, I would vote for Rep. Ocasio-Cortez, as she stands for all that I believe is best for our country. Thank you, ladies, for this discussion. May we all work to make our country healthy, and better than it has been.

  • Mute them. Trump, Santos and the like get their steam from publicity. If the media would cut them off, their ability to lie and spread lies would be significantly impaired. Don’t feature or react to their lies. Just mute and continue to prosecute them in silence. Let them fade without notice. Let them be forgotten, because that is their greatest fear.

  • Those idiots laughing sitting there after he WAS found guilty.. I say to them if anyone of them have a beautiful daughter or granddaughter stand her in front of him alone and see what he does. You see fool’s can be fool’s till it happens to one of their own but then again they’d probably sell her to him that’s how sick these so called humans are. Sad

  • Also, to AOC’s very busy team for allowing her to juggle every busy day, with grace. This is how tax dollars should be spent. Always on target, whilst dodging (at times literal) bullets. Representative is not only the proper title bit applied and executed with grace. Its amazing that any one of them sleep!

  • Giving this dangerous man more air time was a HUGE mistake! He is profoundly impaired. He appeals to others who feel left out. He knows this and the combination of his own belief throughout his life that he is a victim coupled with his ability to draw people in who identify with this makes him extremely dangerous. The ONLY way to interrupt his influence is to keep him OUT of the camera’s view. STOP IT !

  • CNN (and particularly Caitlyn Collins – who seriously dented her credentials as a journalist consenting to do that “interview”) should be ashamed of themselves; that show (it was not journalism) was just Trump the entertainer in action. Nobody should take it seriously; remember he’s got to find $5 million plus legals. Please don’t give this irrelevance oxygen.

  • I believe AOC has demonstrated the same type of moral courage that E. Jean Carroll has, and that Mr Trump and so many of his minions lack entirely. The reality of the threat that the far right represents needs to be continuously emphasized, and the series of charges that continues to grow must be vigorously prosecuted.

  • Donald Trump did not establish a precedent that you can ‘lie with impunity’. That would have been the Republican Congress that refused to call him out on any of it! My favorite was when they rushed past reporters asking them to comment on the latest lie Trump had told with their own best lies…”I haven’t seen that comment”. The complicity of their actions almost brought our country crashing down around us! And really, wasn’t that the point?

  • If adhering to and protecting the Constitution, as well as the rules & conventions that have sprung up in support thereof, should lead to a circumstance where the very context is erased, within which that Document has any meaning? Then where was the value in the original act? That man cannot be allowed to run.

  • We all get to believe whatever we want to believe. My problem, is that I still have friends and family members that WANT to believe the lies. For some reason, it is very important, to them, that these lies are truth. And they will still be around long after Conald has been forgotten. This is deeply troubling.

  • I had tovsearch for an interview of Ms. Cortez and Ms. Wagner I’m perusal on 2/22 . I just have to say Ms.Cortez you are just an incredible breath of fresh hair!! A Goddess called to lead a beautiful group of Brilliant women to ” drain the swamp” with the pride, integrity and true patriotism of which this and why this country was formed!! So from the bottom of my heart I’m inspired to say Thank You from all the shoulders of those whom came before us. Never before the US only in service to us all in the U.S. Respectfully, Christo A. Caffes

  • When I was 17 or 18 at work in a small department store stockroom I was literally trapped by a middle aged store manager who stood at the entryway. He made a number of lewd comments and I thought it was the end. He told me to try to exit which I gladly did but he pressed against me as I scooted by. I was so freaked out I just quit and never came back and did my best to never put myself in that kind of situation again. I can totally relate. I didn’t scream…too freaked out… I still feel stressed about it even though I was lucky…. Over 50 years ago.

  • We learned nothing new about Trump, but what we learned is that there were ~400 people at St. Anselm College campus in New Hampshire willing to show their faces on what will be international media as agreeing with him. Their behavior cheering his lies and vitriol shows just how irredeemable approximately one third of American voters are.

  • The system works…he was judged by a jury of his peers. Does he really think they are in a plot or conspiracy…like hes that important that nine strangers/people would do that. That’s messed up. I can’t wait to hear what the psychologys has to say about this after reviewing the article. This man needs serious intervention, but it would likely not go well. Voting 🔵 always. This stuff scares me.

  • AOC’s testimony is important and compelling. We need to vote better. As voters in a democracy, we need a more comprehensive understanding of the implications of electing TV show people to run a nation. Career politicians and attorneys may not always be popular, however, they are qualified for political office.

  • It would be awesome if she gets her excellent attorneys to march down to the courthouse and file ANOTHER defamation suit…RIGHT NOW. While it’s true that not a penny of any awards come out of his pocket, thanks to his Save America PAC, keeping him tied up and repeatedly humiliated in court would be a worthwhile endeavor.

  • This just shows what kind of horrible person he is. What if this was one of their mothers or aunts or cousins or nieces or even one of their daughters would they still be laughing? And if it was a female relative or friend and someone was calling them a wacko would they still be laughing I think not. 😡

  • What I found appalling was that he started his rebuttal with “what kind of woman meets somebody… and within minutes you’re playing hanky panky in a dressing room?” Only after he said that did he cut himself off and pivot to the “I don’t even know her” excuse. Well, a better question is what kind of a man sexually abuses a woman and then defames her? He’s still blaming her. It is infuriating – and it is terrifying. He did it. That was proven in court. How can he still turn it around on her?
