Is It Possible To Do Multiple Tarot Readings In A Day?

Tarot readings can be a fun and effective tool, but it is important to avoid becoming too reliant on them. In this blog, the author discusses the pros and cons of multiple readings and offers tips to prevent tarot dependency.

Reading tarot when emotional, choosing the wrong spread, adding too many clarifiers, and looking up too many card meanings can affect the accuracy of your readings. A guideline is one or two readings a month, as it is considered a habit if anxiety arises at any stage.

When considering getting more than one reading in a day, it is best to weigh the pros and cons before committing to multiple readings. It is essential to choose just one reading and stick to it, as all will lead to the same outcome. The number of readings you should do depends on your personal energy levels and capacity for focus.

Using multiple decks in your tarot readings provides layers of meaning and many windows for interpretation. You may read your cards every day, but it is fine to start or end the day with a ritual. There is no limit on the number of tarot readings you can do for others, but it mainly depends on your energy levels and the energy of the person.

To avoid becoming too reliant on tarot, make a commitment to read once and only on your particular topic. Take note of the Tarot reading, then put it away and come back to it. By doing so, you can maintain a healthy relationship with your Tarot readings and avoid becoming too reliant on the tool.

The text provides a detailed guide on using a Tarot deck for divination. It emphasizes the importance of choosing a deck that provides different energy or medicine, and suggests pulling one to four cards a day from various decks. Tarot cards are popular but should be used with caution as they can carry darkness. Animal medicine cards are another personal favorite, offering types of medicine that can help or be needed in life.

The Manifestation Card deck is an extension of New Moon practices taught in Moon Workbooks. Each New Moon allows individuals to set new intentions, which are then guided by these cards each day. These cards are meant to unblock feelings of stuckness, inspire those uncertain about their next steps, or provide an energy to embody for the day.

To decide what to pull, one should decide what questions to ask the deck and how many cards to pull. The most simple daily pull is the single card pull, which asks the deck what energy or medicine they should be aware of today, this lunar cycle, or this year. Another popular pull is the past, present, future pull, which asks the deck which energies are needed to process the past, stay in the present, and prepare for the future.

The questions asked in the pull vary from day to day but always revolve around the central theme of “What energy do I need?” For example, when making a decision, in a healing space, or working deeply with intentions, the cards should provide the energy needed to move forward and manifest them with grace.

  • I am very new to learning the cards. I can’t rely on my memory to recall the meanings despite hours of study so the idea of intuitive reading is appealing. I also seem to be challenged to string more than a couple words together so the story of the cards is the world’s shortest story 🤣 I am hoping that I become more fluid with this skill in time, please tell me this is part of the learning curve? I do want to thank you for always stressing in your articles that it takes time. That helps greatly in managing my expectations, if only temporarily. I generally tend to want to know it all now and be perfect at reading…kind of a personality flaw. 🤪

  • I can’t read 1 card at a time… I know how it sounds but when I pull the “card for the day” I always lose it and can’t imagine connecting it to anything i need to actually find the thread so I keep pulling another 3-5 cards asking questions like “what area is this in? ” “can I change something about it?” I pull often more than 1 card per 1 of these questions. I wanted to ask if it’s okay. I knwo it sounds quite weird to even ask it but no one ever mentions reading card this way but it feels quite natural to me. I say I’m “talking to the cards” as if in dialogue. I ask a question pull a card or two to answer and bases on that ask further and pull more answers. I look back at what I’ve been told in previous questions and connect the cards. It’s literally impossible for me to pull 1 card and let it be. Let me add to this: I put the cards down into groups based on how I connect them. Every spread ends up looking slightly different but I put the cards down into what their “position is” based on the question it answers and how it connects to others. And I stop when I’m satisfied with knowing enough. It also ends up being faster than casual spreads as I don’t analyze the cards as deeple to keep the conversation going.
