📹 Magi is Insanely Good
Magi is a battle shonen written and illustrated by Shinobu Ohtaka and it is insanely good. Check out these videos! | Remember …
I am Magi trash. I love Magi. I think the fandom needs more content so we don’t forget that Magi is a great manga that had a suched ending, but that could be fixed with an anime adaptation to fill in the pieces. We need to push for a third season as a community! Imo Judar was such a tragic character, that deserves as much consideration as Sinbad, since he is there since the adventures of Sinbad Manga. I think the Magi anime fails to portrait just how complex this character is. I also love the whole Koe empire ideals against Sinbad ideals, cause they all wanted just one king (same as Alma Torran wanted 1 king), and yet failed. They all failed and Kougyoku had the answer. They had to share the burden of the new peaceful world Sinbad had created, together. That blows my mind.
The anime is alright, but when my only experience with anime is Ghibli movies and hall of fame titles like FMAB, Steins;Gate and so on. The writing leaves so much to be desired. It doesn’t really try to do anything new, or do anything old any better than other shows. Magi is just a cool idea bundled up into another generic shounen. But that’s just me, looking at why you and so many other liek this show. Because of things like power levels, visually excessive fights, goofy fan service humour and RPG esque world building. It’s pretty clear that what you and I want out of a story are two very different things.
